024, pain score P = 0.041) and 50MBq/kg group (pain score P = 0.021) at week 12. No patients withdrew trial because of AEs in three groups.

Re-HEDP at dose of 40 and 50MBq/kg was generally effective to alleviate pain and improve QOL in lung cancer patients with painful bone metastases.

Re-HEDP was safe and well-tolerated.

Previous studies have demonstrated that intrathecal α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methy-4-isoxazole propionate (AMPA) -kainate (KA) receptor antagonist inhibits the guarding pain behavior and mechanical hyperalgesia, indicating a critical role of spinal KA receptors in postoperative pain hypersensitivity. However, how the functional regulations of spinal KA receptor subunits are involved in the postoperative pain hypersensitivity remains elusive. Therefore, in the current study, we investigated the synaptic delivery of spinal KA receptor subunits and the interaction between KA receptor subunits and glutamate receptor-interacting protein (GRIP) during the postoperative pain. Our data indicated that plantar incision induced the synaptic delivery of GluK2, but not GluK1 or GluK3 in ipsilateral spinal cord dorsal horns. The co-immunoprecipitation showed an increased GluK2 -GRIP interaction in ipsilateral dorsal horn neurons at 6 h post-incision. Interestingly, Intrathecal pretreatment of GRIP siRNA increased the paw withdrawal thresholds to mechanical stimuli and decreased the cumulative pain scores in the paws ipsilateral to the incision at 6 h post-incision. Additionally, Intrathecal pretreatment of GRIP siRNA reduced the synaptic abundance of GluK2 in ipsilateral spinal dorsal horn at 6 h after plantar incision. In general, our data have demonstrated that the GluK2- GRIP interaction-mediated synaptic abundance of GluK2 in dorsal horn neurons plays an important role in the postoperative pain hypersensitivity. Disrupting the GluK2- GRIP interaction may provide a new approach for relieving postoperative pain.Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a modality of treatment in which patients inhale 100% oxygen inside a hyperbaric chamber pressurised to greater than 1 atmosphere. The aim of this review is to discuss neuropsychological findings in various neurological disorders treated with HBOT and to open new perspectives for therapeutic improvement. A literature search was conducted in the MEDLINE (via PubMed) database from the inception up 10 May 2020. Eligibility criteria included original articles published in English. Case studies were excluded. Full-text articles were obtained from the selected studies and were reviewed on the following inclusion criteria (1) performed cognitive processes assessment (2) performed HBOT with described protocol. Two neuropsychologists independently reviewed titles, abstracts, full texts and extracted data. The initial search retrieved 1024 articles, and a total of 42 studies were finally included after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. The search yielded controversial results with regard to the efficiency of HBOT in various neurological conditions with cognitive disturbance outcome. To the best of our knowledge this is the first state-of-the art, systematic review in the field. More objective and precise neuropsychological assessment methods are needed to exact evaluation of the efficacy of HBOT for neuropsychological deficits. Future studies should widen the assessment of HBOT effects on different cognitive domains because most of the existing studies have focussed on a single process. Finally, there is a need for further longitudinal studies.Parents frequently attempt to shield their children from distressing prognostic information. Pediatric oncology providers sometimes follow parental request for non-disclosure of prognostic information to children, invoking what we call the stability of the family argument. They believe that if they inform the child about terminal prognosis despite parental wishes, cohesion and family structure will be severely hampered. In this paper, we argue against parental request for non-disclosure. Firstly, we present the stability of the family argument in more detail. We, then, set out the (conceptual, legal, systemic) entitativity of the family and the kind of value the stability of the family argument assumes, before we set on to critically evaluate the argument. Our analysis shows that disclosure of prognostic information to children does not necessarily destabilize the family to a greater extent than non-disclosure. In fact, a systemic perspective suggests that mediated disclosure is more likely to result in a (long-term) stability of the family than non-disclosure. It is in the interest of the family to resist the initial aversive reaction to delivering bad news. Mito-TEMPO In the final part, we draw a set of recommendations on how to facilitate decision-making in face of parental request for non-disclosure.Among animal societies, dominance is an important social factor that influences inter-individual relationships. However, assessing dominance hierarchy can be a time-consuming activity which is potentially impeded by environmental factors, difficulties in the recognition of animals, or disturbance of animals during data collection. Here we took advantage of novel devices, machines for automated learning and testing (MALT), designed primarily to study non-human primate cognition, to additionally measure the dominance hierarchy of a semi-free-ranging primate group. When working on a MALT, an animal can be replaced by another, which could reflect an asymmetric dominance relationship. To assess the reliability of our method, we analysed a sample of the automated conflicts with video scoring and found that 74% of these replacements included genuine forms of social displacements. In 10% of the cases, we did not identify social interactions and in the remaining 16% we observed affiliative contacts between the monkeys.
