Deficiency of adenosine deaminase type 2 (DADA2) is an autoinflammatory disease characterized with immunologic, hematologic, and neurological features. Here, we presented two patients with severe persistent chronic neutropenia, which required differential diagnosis of congenital and autoimmune neutropenia, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), and primary immunodeficiency diseases, including autoimmune lymphoproliferative disease. The therapy of the disease except hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is a challenging experience.
Traumatic brain injury is a global health problem; worldwide, >60 million people experience a traumatic brain injury each year and incidence is rising. Traumatic brain injury has been proposed as an independent risk factor for stroke.

We undertook a systematic review of MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, and The Cochrane Library from inception to 4 December 2020. We used random-effects meta-analysis to pool hazard ratios for studies which reported stroke risk post-traumatic brain injury compared to controls. Searches identified 10,501 records; 58 full texts were assessed for eligibility and 18 met the inclusion criteria. The review included a large sample size of 2,606,379 participants from four countries. Six studies included a non-traumatic brain injury control group, all found traumatic brain injury patients had significantly increased risk of stroke compared to controls (pooled hazard ratio 1.86; 95% confidence interval 1.46-2.37). Findings suggest stroke risk may be highest in the first four months post-traumatic brain injury, but remains significant up to five years post-traumatic brain injury. Traumatic brain injury appears to be associated with increased stroke risk regardless of severity or subtype of traumatic brain injury. There was some evidence to suggest an association between reduced stroke risk post-traumatic brain injury and Vitamin K antagonists and statins, but increased stroke risk with certain classes of antidepressants.

To describe the clinicopathological characteristics of lymphoproliferative disorders (LPDs) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
In this multicenter case series, we retrospectively reviewed the medical records of RA patients who were newly diagnosed as having LPDs with or without biopsy confirmation between 2000 and 2017 in eight hospitals in Japan.
We included 232 patients with LPDs. The median age was 67 years (interquartile range [IQR], 60-73 years), and 77.1% were female. At the time of LPD diagnosis, 94.8% and 62.6% of the patients were methotrexate users and in remission or had low RA disease activity, respectively; lymphadenopathy and extranodal involvement were present in 77.1% and 51.9%, respectively. Major extranodal sites were the lungs and oral/oropharyngeal mucosa. The most common LPD pathological subtype was diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (40.5%), followed by classic Hodgkin lymphoma (10.8%), Epstein-Barr virus-positive mucocutaneous ulcer (7.7%), and reactive lymphoid hyperplasia (6.2%). The clinical and laboratory characteristics varied across the pathological subtypes.

Maternal worry about infant weight has inconsistently been reported as a breastfeeding barrier. Weight monitoring is a critical tool to assess adequacy of infant feeding. Yet, little is known about the intensity of maternal worry about infant weight or associated breastfeeding outcomes.
To examine (1) the frequency and intensity of maternal worry about infant weight; (2) the relationship between worry about weight and use of artificial milk; and 3) the relationship between worry about weight and breastfeeding cessation.
A prospective cross-sectional design was used. A questionnaire was completed by women in the United States (
= 287) from 12 web-based maternal support groups.
Sixty-three percent of women (
= 182) had some worry about infant weight. Participants breastfeeding for the first time had more worry (
= .035). Participants still breastfeeding had less worry about weight compared to those who had stopped (67%,
= 147 vs. 41%,
= 28). Exclusive breastfeeding participants had less worry (
< .001) compared to those who supplemented with artificial milk. Increased worry was associated with the use of artificial milk within 1 week of birth (
< .001) and early breastfeeding cessation (
< .001).
