7 to 114.7% with satisfactory relative standard deviations (0.2-7.4%). With the aid of quantum chemistry calculations, the interaction energy between the sorbent and five pyrethroid insecticides was calculated, which proved the necessity of the modification of 1-octyl-3-methylimidazole hexafluorophosphate.
This meta-analysis evaluated the effectiveness of intergenerational program participation for long-term care institution residents with dementia.
A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Ten electronic databases were systematically searched until August 2020 CINAHL, the Cochrane Library, EBSCO, EMBASE, Ovid Medline, ProQuest, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. The Joanna Briggs Institute tool (JBI tool) was used for the quality appraisal of the included publications, and Review Manager 5.3 was used for the meta-analysis.
Thirteen articles were identified (1993-2015). Intergenerational program participation could improve the pleasure level and significantly reduce disengagement behaviours of residents with dementia. The intergenerational program intervention caused no apparent improvement in their quality of life, depression levels, and engagement levels.

Experience of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for colorectal lesions in the setting of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) remains limited. The aim of this work was to determine the safety, feasibility and oncological outcomes of ESD in patients with IBD.
A retrospective review of all adult patients (≥18years) with a known diagnosis of either ulcerative colitis (UC) or Crohn's disease (CD) who underwent advanced colonoscopy and ESD between 1 January 2014 and 1 October 2020. Data collected included patient demographics, disease characteristics, pathological variables and procedure-related complication rates.
A total of 25 patients were included 19 (76%) were male with a median age of 63years and disease duration of more than 10years. Sixteen had UC and nine had CD; the majority were taking corticosteroids, immunomodulators or monoclonal antibodies at the time of ESD. The median procedure time was 41min and the majority (n=18; 72%) utilized chromoendoscopy. The median lesion size was 30mm eight had low-grade dysplasia, nine had high-grade dysplasia and three had adenocarcinoma and underwent oncological resection. None had surgical intervention for complication of ESD or perforation. A total of 23 (88%) had a complete R0 resection. Over a median follow-up of 19months, three were found to have dysplasia excised in polyps and none had subsequent adenocarcinoma.
ESD in the setting of IBD is safe and effective for complete removal of large neoplastic lesions, allowing for ongoing endoscopic surveillance and organ preservation rather than surgical intervention.

Textural differences between entheses reflect biomechanical activities of the musculoskeletal system. Methods used to measure these surfaces have limitations. Here, the surface metrology of roughness of articular and entheseal surfaces of the knee are investigated with an optical profiler.
Osteological specimens of six femora and seven tibiae were prepared from cadavers. Measurements were obtained to surrogate body mass. Specimens were molded with polyvinylsiloxane and casts prepared with resin, which were scanned using a white light optical profiler. Scans were processed by a computer program. Each scan produced 32 variables, categorized into 6 groups for each location.
The distribution of data was mostly normal. PTC-028 Analysis of variance (ANOVA) identified Ssk significant (p-value .002); post hoc Tukey testing indicated significance between femoral PCL and tibial ACL entheses groups (p-value .007), and between tibial ACL and tibial entheses groups (p-value .002) suggesting the ability to differentiate antendings suggest this method can be used for further investigation of spondyloarthropathies. An increasingly urbanized world is one of the most prominent examples of global environmental change. Across the globe, urban parks are designed and managed in a similar way, resulting in visually pleasing expansions of lawn interspersed with individually planted trees of varying appearances and functional traits. These large urban greenspaces have the capacity to provide various ecosystem services, including those associated with soil physicochemical properties. Our aim was to explore whether soil properties in urban parks diverge underneath vegetation producing labile or recalcitrant litter, and whether the impact is affected by climatic zone (from a boreal to temperate to tropical city). We also compared these properties to those in (semi)natural forests outside the cities to assess the influence of urbanization on plant-trait effects. We showed that vegetation type affected percentage soil organic matter (OM), total carbon (C) and total nitrogen (N), but inconsistently across climatic zones. Plant-trait effects were particularly weak in old parks in the boreal and temperate zones, whereas in young parks in these zones, soils underneath the two tree types accumulated significantly more OM, C and N compared to lawns. Within climatic zones, anthropogenic drivers dominated natural ones, with consistently lower values of organic-matter-related soil properties under trees producing labile or recalcitrant litter in parks compared to forests. The dominating effect of urbanization is also reflected in its ability to homogenize soil properties in parks across the three cities, especially in lawn soils and soils under trees irrespective of functional trait. Our study demonstrates that soil functions that relate to carbon and nitrogen dynamics-even in old urban greenspaces where plant-soil interactions have a long history-clearly diverged from those in natural ecosystems, implying a long-lasting influence of anthropogenic drivers on soil ecosystem services.
Genetic tools are a prerequisite for engineering cell factories for synthetic biology and biotechnology. link2 Methylorubrum extorquens is an important platform for a future one-carbon (C1) bioeconomy, but its application is currently limited by the availability of genetic tools. Small regulatory RNA (sRNA) is an important regulatory factor in bacteria and has been applied for gene repression in several strains. This study aimed to construct a synthetic sRNA system based on the MicC scaffold and the chaperone Hfq to control gene expression in M.extorquens.
Initially, the exogenous lacZ gene was transposed into the M.extorquens chromosome as a reporter, and corresponding β-galactosidase was measured to assess the knockdown efficiency of lacZ. A synthetic sRNA containing a 24-nt antisense RNA targeting lacZ and an Escherichia coli MicC scaffold were constructed, and different Hfqs from E.coli, M.extorquens AM1 and PA1 were further identified. The results showed that the expression of endogenous hfqs from the chros a genetic tool for the manipulation of M. extorquens. The present findings might be helpful for achieving high-throughput gene knockdown expression.
Sensitive skin is subjective cutaneous hyperreactivity to environmental factors. Demodicosis is a skin disorder caused by Demodex mites. There may be a link between demodicosis and sensitive skin.
This study aimed to examine facial Demodex mites density and other factors associated with sensitive skin in patients.
A total of 349 randomly selected patients presented to the dermatology department. The research data were collected using a questionnaire form that included the participants' sociodemographic and lifestyle characteristics, a sensitive skin questionnaire, the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI), and European Health Interview Survey (EHIS). Patients underwent standardized superficial skin surface biopsy of 4 areas of the face. D.folliculorum count greater than 5mites/cm
was considered positive.
In relation to Demodex, there was an increase in skin sensitivity with higher Demodex density (p=0.04). There was a statistically significant, weak positive correlation between skin sensitivity and DLQI score (r=0.33, p=0.00), and there was also a significant but very weak negative correlation between skin sensitivity and EUROHIS (r=-0.164, p=0.002). Skin sensitivity was more common in patients with a concomitant dermatological disease (p=0.01) and increased with more frequent cosmetic use (p=0.00).
Alongside other risk factors, for the patients presenting with complaints of sensitive skin, investigating Demodex population density may help alleviate sensitive skin symptoms with appropriate therapies and preventive measures.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are quite commonly used since several years for soft tissue augmentation.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate primarily the safety and secondarily the clinical effectiveness of Cross-Linked Sodium Hyaluronate 24mg with Lidocaine 3mg (Jeunesso 24L) injection, in subjects undergoing treatment for facial wrinkles and lip augmentation.
Patients between the age groups of 18 and 75years, who were seeking soft tissue augmentation treatment on the face and with wrinkle severity score (WSS) ≥2 for bilateral Nasolabial Folds (NLF), were included in the study. The appropriate quantity of the filler was injected at the treatment site. Clinical efficacy assessments were conducted independently at 3 and 6months after baseline. Clinical efficacy was assessed using Wrinkle Severity Rating Scale (WSRS) and a Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS).
The mean pain score was found to be 2.57±2.06 immediately after injection which was reduced to 0.1±0.675 at 15min and this further subsided to "No Pain" in any of the participants at 60min post the injection. WSRS mean score before treatment was 2.76, which were significantly reduced to 2.14, at 3months. Majority of participants found an improvement in the marionette line severity. Also, significant improvements were seen in the perioral and lip areas. The Study filler was well-tolerated and no side effects were reported.
The study indicates that this particular filler, HA+L, is useful for cosmetic improvements in the nasolabial folds and for enhancement of the lips.

The aging process occurs in all anatomical layers of the face; therefore, rejuvenation should not be limited to the dermic signs of aging (Aesthet Surg J. 2018;3873) The treatment with fillers in strategic points can reconstruct young anatomy, providing natural results (Aesthet Surg J. 2018;3873). There are two instruments used for facial application of hyaluronic acid cannula and needle. Both of them have advantages and disadvantages.
In this study, we aim to compare the limitations of application with cannula by cutaneous ultrasound when compared to the needle by ultrasound, since some injectors suggest that one of the disadvantages would be the inability to reach certain application plans (periosteum).
A 52-year-old female patient was treated with 22 mg/ml hyaluronic acid (Juvéderm® Voluma), guided by high-frequency ultrasound (LogicE device, Logic brand (GE Healthcare), with high-frequency linear probe (L8-L18i-RS). link3 The left hemiface was treated with a 27G needle and the right hemiface with a 5 cm 22G cannula (SoftFil®).
