We sought to report our experience with CTO guidewires for perforation of atretic pulmonary valves and subsequent balloon dilatation (with or without patent ductus arteriosus stenting) in patients with PA-IVS from two centers. A retrospective study was carried out on PA-IVS patients who underwent intervention between March 2014 and September 2019, in which CTO guidewire was employed for pulmonary valve perforation. A total of 26 patients were identified. The median age and weight of the patients were 5.2 days (range 1-21 days) and 3.1 kg (range 2.2-3.8 kg), respectively. All patients were situs solitus, except one patient with left atrial isomerism. Postoperative lymphorrhea can occur after different surgical procedures and may prolong the hospital stay due to the need for specific treatment. In this work, the therapeutic significance of the radiological management of postoperative lymphorrhea was assessed and illustrated.

A standardized search of the literature was performed in PubMed applying the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) term "lymphangiography." For the review, the inclusion criterion was "studies with original data on Lipiodol-based Conventional Lymphangiography (CL) with subsequent Percutaneous Lymphatic Intervention (PLI)." Different exclusion criteria were defined (e.g., studies with <15 patients). The collected data comprised of clinical background and indications, procedural aspects and types of PLI, and outcomes. In this study, we demonstrated the feasibility of increasing fucoxanthin bioaccumulation in P. tricornutum by promoting photosynthetic activity of this diatom. Specifically, this study investigated the effects of different concentrations of the photosynthetic induction factor (PIF) on fucoxanthin content and biosynthesis, on chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics, and on the expression of photosynthesis-related genes in P. tricornutum. The results showed that the optimal PIF concentration was 1 µg L-1, while optimal time was 48 h, with the effect decreasing at 72 h. Fucoxanthin content increased by 44.2% compared to that of the control group in 48 h. Correlation analysis showed a significant positive correlation between fucoxanthin content and the actual photosynthetic yield of PS II (r = 0.949, P  less then  0.01). The total amount of energy actually used in photosystem II (PS II) by photosynthesis may be used as the main components affecting the biosynthesis of fucoxanthin in P. tricornutum. In addition, we found that using PIF to promote photosynthesis in P. tricornutum effectively increased the growth rate and bioaccumulation of fucoxanthin to an economically advantageous level, thereby providing a novel strategy for the commercial production of fucoxanthin.

The purpose of this review was to summarize the current literature about telemedicine in pediatric headache and to provide practical guidance for its implementation.

There are few studies dedicated to telemedicine in pediatric headache, and existing studies are small. Patients and families report high levels of satisfaction with telemedicine, and most are willing to continue telemedicine visits in the future. Telemedicine demonstrated similar reductions in headache frequency, severity, and duration as patients treated in-person. Remotely delivered psychologic interventions have some utility in reducing headache severity acutely. Families feel telemedicine reduces geographic and financial barriers to care. Telemedicine in pediatric headache is a growing field. While there is limited research available, it appears safe, efficacious, and feasible. Headache-related outcomes, including frequency, severity, and duration, were similar amongst telemedicine and in-person visits. Future studies should include larger sample sizes and detailed analysis of adverse outcomes.
