Furthermore, an analysis of the ConvNet architectures suggests that the network performs a complex spatiotemporal integration of EEG data to optimize classification accuracy. These results show that movement speed and force can be accurately predicted from single-trial EEG, and that the prediction strategies may provide useful neurophysiological information about motor preparation.

Informal carers of people with dementia report having unmet needs for support and few supportive interventions have been shown to be effective. There is a need to develop needs assessment instruments and supportive interventions with a holistic and person-centred approach to meet the various and complex needs of carers. The aim of this study was to provide an overview of carers' support needs when caring for people with dementia with the objectives to map and synthesise knowledge on key concepts of carers' support needs.

A scoping review methodology was used. A literature search was conducted in PsycINFO, CINAHL, PubMed and EMBASE between January 2007 and October 2019. Three authors independently selected articles meeting the inclusion criteria, and data were extracted using a matrix developed for that purpose. Inductive content analysis was used to synthesise key concepts of carers' support needs.

The search identified 2748 articles after removing duplicates, and 122 articles were included in the mapping of carers' support needs. Synthesising carers' support needs indicated that the full extent of support needs emerges in the interaction between the carer and the person cared for and that it is possible to categorise support needs into four key concepts related to 1) the carer as a person, 2) managing being a carer, 3) providing care, and 4) knowledge of dementia.

The findings of this study help to map a framework describing carers' support needs that may guide the development of future needs assessment instruments and supportive interventions.

We first mapped the HF response to cyclophosphamide (CYP) at natural anagen VI in mice. We found that 30-60 mg/kg of CYP leads to dose-dependent HF dystrophy that was spontaneously repaired with anagen resumption, while 120 mg/kg of CYP prematurely induced catagen/telogen entry. To explore how anagen HF repair is achieved in the dystrophic anagen pathway, we analysed the cell dynamics at 30 mg/kg of CYP. Hair bulbs first shrunk due to matrix cell apoptosis associated with DNA double-strand breaks. DNA damage was repaired, and ordered hair bulb structures were restored within 96 hours. Bulge stem cells did not undergo apoptosis nor proliferation. K5+ basal lower proximal cup cells and outer root sheath cells quickly replenished the cells in the germinative zone and regenerated the concentric layered structures of the lower HF segment. Therefore, anagen HFs are able to summon extra-bulge progenitor cells in close proximity to the damaged matrix for quick repair after CYP injury.

To assess peri-implant tissue conditions on the short term in patients receiving the Sub-periosteal Peri-implant Augmented Layer (SPAL) technique and in patients with adequate thickness (≥2mm) of the peri-implant buccal bone plate (PBBP) at placement.

Patients where either a dehiscence defect or thin PBBP at implant placement was corrected by SPAL technique (SPAL

and SPAL

groups, respectively) and patients presenting a residual PBBP thickness ≥2mm at implant placement (control group) were retrospectively selected. The number of peri-implant sites positive to bleeding on probing (BoP) at 6months following prosthetic loading was the primary outcome. Also, height of keratinized mucosa, marginal soft tissue level, Plaque Index, peri-implant probing depth, suppuration on probing, and interproximal radiographic bone level (RBL) were evaluated.

Thirty-four patients (11 in the SPAL

group, 11 in the SPAL

group, and 12 in the control group) were included. In each SPAL group, 10 patients (90.9%) showed peri-implant tissue thickness ≥2mm at the most coronal portion of the implant at uncovering. The prevalence (number) of BoP-positive sites was 2, 1, and 0 in the SPAL

, SPAL

, and control groups, respectively. RBL amounted to 0.3mm in the SPAL

group, 0.2mm in the SPAL

group, and 0mm in the control group.

After 6months of prosthetic loading, patients treated with SPAL technique show limited peri-implant mucosal inflammation in association with shallow PD and adequate KM. At implants receiving SPAL technique, however, interproximal RBL was found apical to its ideal position.

To analyse the effect of post-core, and cement materials and thickness of the cement lute on the stress in post-core systems under ultrasonic vibration at different frequencies and amplitudes using three-dimensional finite element analysis.

Eight three-dimensional finite element models of a maxillary central incisor with post-cores were established. Nedometinib chemical structure Two post-core materials (Au and Ni-Cr alloys), two cements (glass ionomer (GI) and zinc phosphate (ZP)) and two cement layer thicknesses (50 and 150μm) were considered. Vibration loads were applied near the neck on the buccal side of the core at frequencies of 10-40kHz and amplitudes of 10-50μm. The maximum shear stress of the cement layer and maximum principal stress of the roots and their distributions were investigated.

The stresses on cements and roots increased with an increase in the frequency and amplitude of the vibration load and elastic modulus of the cements, and decreased with increasing thickness of the cement layer and elastic modulus of the post-core.
