This study aimed to determine the reliability and validity of the Cleveland Adolescent Sleepiness Questionnaire in Turkish university students, and to determine the sleepiness of students.

This cross-sectional study was carried out with 852 university students in Turkey, Bolu, between February- May 2019.

Results of the analysis indicated that this scale was a valid and reliable measurement tool. As the scores of students' get from Cleveland Adolescent Sleepiness Questionnaire increased, the frequency of students feeling sleepy during the day, sleepiness in and out of school, and getting up in the morning without resting increased.

Hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated (HCN) channels are known to be involved in the generation of absence seizures (ASs), and there is evidence that cortical and thalamic HCN channel dysfunctions may have a proabsence role. Many HCN channel blockers are available, but their role in ASs has been investigated only by localized brain injection or in in vitro model systems due to their limited brain availability. Here, we investigated the effect on ASs of orally administered ivabradine (an HCN channel blocker approved for the treatment of heart failure in humans) following injection of the P-glycoprotein inhibitor elacridar, which is known to increase penetration into the brain of drug substrates for this efflux transporter. The action of ivabradine was also tested following in vivo microinjection into the cortical initiation network (CIN) of the somatosensory cortex and in the thalamic ventrobasal nucleus (VB) as well as on cortical and thalamocortical neurons in brain slices.

The GWHE integration significantly increased the recorded drying temperature up to 53.41 °C, with an improvement of 11.5 °C compared to the conventional dryer. Moreover, the drying temperature inside the drying chamber exceeded ambient temperature after sunset and at night by 30.8°C. for hybrid and basic drying systems, respectively, using the slope. Three methods were used to perform economic analysis. The cumulative present worth of savings, at 23 382.6 USD, is much higher than the capital cost of the hybrid dryer, at 467 USD. The payback period is quite acceptable, at 2.21 years as compared to dryer lifetime of 15 years. Therefore, the hybrid dryer will dry tomato paste without additional charges for 12.79 years and is recommended for a large-scale tomato paste dryer.

Thus, the objectives of this study were to characterize HSG product categories based on sensory characteristics and analytical parameters, and correlate analytical parameters with sensory descriptors generated through napping-ultra flash profile (napping-UFP). In one 90-min session, 15 panelists performed two napping-UFP exercises, categorizing and describing 13 confectionary HSGs by their overall degree of similarity and by their texture. Multiple factor analysis and hierarchical clustering were conducted on the napping-UFP data. The products were also characterized by their moisture content, water activity (aw ), thermal behavior, and texture profile.
