The TTsusV isolate MK990454 from Canada clustered in the subtype TTsusV1b, while the TTsusV isolate MK872392 fell in the subtype TTsusV2c, and all showed similarity to known American and Chinese isolates. In addition, our screening PCR showed that 2.7% of stool samples were positive for PCV1. The intra-articular administration of analgesic/antinflammatory drugs is a common practice in veterinary medicine, for both lameness diagnosis and joint pain management. It is used either perioperatively, such as in animals undergoing arthroscopy/arthrotomy, and in osteoarthritic animals. However, evidence regarding efficacy and safety of each drug is limited, and controversies persist in these areas. In particular, it is often uncertain whether a defined treatment is effective by simply relieving the symptomatic pain associated with the joint disease, or whether it has a positive effect on the joint environment. Moreover, there is still much hesitation about treatments for joint diseases, related to the time of their application for the best outcome, and to any possible deleterious side effects. This article includes a review of the literature concerning the main analgesic/antinflammatory drugs used intra-articularly for managing acute and chronic joint pain/inflammation in dogs and horses. The in vitro production (IVP) of porcine embryos has become widespread as a result of these qualities and there is significant demand for these embryos for research purposes. However, the efficiency of porcine embryo IVP remains very low, which hinders its use as a model for research. The high degree of polyspermic fertilization is the main problem that affects in vitro fertilization (IVF) in porcine species. Furthermore, oocyte in vitro maturation (IVM) is another important step that could be related to polyspermic fertilization and low embryo production. The presence of nitric oxide synthase (NOS), the enzyme that produces nitric oxide (NO), has been detected in the oviduct, the ovary, the oocyte and the sperm cell of porcine species. Its functions include regulating oviductal activity, ovulation, acquisition of meiotic competence, oocyte activation, sperm capacitation, and gamete interaction. Therefore, in this review, we summarize the current knowledge on the role of NO/NOS system in each of the steps that lead to the production of porcine embryos in an in vitro environment, i.e. IVM, sperm capacitation, IVF, and embryo culture. We also discuss the possible ways in which the NO/NOS system could be used to enhance IVP of porcine embryos.Blood perfusion of grafted tissue constructs is a hindrance to the success of stem cell-based therapies by limiting cell survival and tissue regeneration. Implantation of a pre-vascularized network engineered in vitro has thus emerged as a promising strategy for promoting blood supply deep into the construct, relying on inosculation with the host vasculature. We aimed to fabricate in vitro tissue constructs with mature microvascular networks, displaying perivascular recruitment and basement membrane, taking advantage of the angiogenic properties of dental pulp stem cells and self-assembly of endothelial cells into capillaries. Using digital scanned light-sheet microscopy, we characterized the generation of dense microvascular networks in collagen hydrogels and established parameters for quantification of perivascular recruitment. We also performed original time-lapse analysis of stem cell recruitment. These experiments demonstrated that perivascular recruitment of dental pulp stem cells is driven by PDGF-BB. Ten participants (3 men, 7 women, M age = 42.31 ± 15.03) received ten 75 ± 15 minute EMDR sessions over 6.5 ± .5 weeks. Results indicated that PHQ-9 depression scores reduced from T1 (M = 13.9 ± 3.31) to T11 (M = 6.30 ± 3.23) with EMDR (SMD = 2.30), and that fTC but not pfTC was significantly related to this change. Depression declined as fTC declined. EMDR may engage the dlPFC or ACC that modulates depression and aid in reducing fTC and thus depression levels.
