mutation. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the potential relationship between thyroiditis and BRAF

mutation status in patients with PTC. We investigated how a selective inhibitor of BRAF

PLX4032 affects the proliferation and inflammatory cytokine levels of thyroid cancer.

Two thyroid cancer cell lines TPC1 and 8505C were treated with PLX4032, an analysis was done on cell growth, cell cycle, the degree of apoptosis, and levels of inflammatory cytokines. To identify the functional links of BRAF, we used the STRING database.

Docking results illustrated PLX4032 blocked the kinase activity by exclusively binding on the serine/threonine kinase domain. STRING results indicated BRAF is functionally linked to mitogen-activated protein kinase. Both cell lines showed a dose-dependent reduction in growth rate but had a different half maximal inhibitory concentration value for PLX4032. Compared to other GTF reports, the current case had some unusual aspects bipolar hemiarthroplasty, 28-mm head, relatively late-onset, and no apparent findings of metallosis though a severe one was evident. A Computed tomography scout view provided valuable information in evaluating polyethylene, metal head, and neck inside the bipolar cup. The current report suggests a need for concerned regarding short trunnion length which may be associated with GTF.

Reduction and stable fixation of the quadrilateral plate are challenging primarily due to its location in the true pelvis, limited bone stock, juxta-articular nature, and its comminution. The current study aimed to investigate the quality of reduction and functional outcomes after open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) with infrapectineal buttress plating of the quadrilateral surface via an anterior intrapelvic approach.

We conducted a retrospective review of twenty-one patients with acetabular fractures involving quadrilateral plate operated at Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital between January 2017 and December 2018. Radiological assessment of the quality of reduction was conducted using criteria described by Matta. Functional outcomes were evaluated using a modified Postel Merle d'Aubigné score.

The current study included 15 males and 6 females with a mean age of 40.67±12.17 years (range, 22-62 years). The most common fracture pattern was anterior column and posterior hemi-transverse in eight patients followed by true bicolumn and T-type fractures in seven and four patients respectively. Both transverse fractures were transtectal. The quality of reduction according to Matta criteria was anatomical in 14 patients, imperfect in five and poor in two. Functional outcomes were excellent in 47.6% cases, good in 42.9%, and fair in 9.5% cases. Both patients with fair outcomes had non-anatomical reduction, and one required total hip arthroplasty at a later time.

The current study aimed to investigate the morphology of the true acetabulum in developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) with high dislocation. A secondary was to evaluate the acetabular cup placement in patients with high dislocation who were treated with total hip arthroplasty (THA).

Using a retrospective design, 23 hips with DDH with high dislocation in patients who were treated with THA were included in this study. We measured the depth, width and thickness of the anterior and posterior walls of the original acetabulum using preoperative computed tomography images and investigated the cup size applied in these cases.

The mean depth and width of the acetabulum was 18.4 and 16.2 mm proximal end, 18.4 and 24.3 mm in the middle, and 15.8 and 27.6 mm at the distal part. Mean thickness of the anterior and posterior walls was 10.9 and 23.9 mm at the proximal end, 10.3 and 22.2 mm in the middle, and 10.9 and 22.7 mm at the distal part. A 42-mm cup was using in one hip, a 46-mm cup in three hips, a 48-mm cup in 13 hips, and a 50-mm cup in six hips.

In patients with Crowe IV DDH, the morphology of the acetabulum comprises a triangle that broadens from proximal to distal points, with a relatively thick posterior wall. Reaming the acetabulum posteriorly and inferiorly may enable the placement of a relatively larger cup to achieve stable fixation.
