Forced expression of EXOSC3 and CNOT4 in human colonic epithelial cells increased the expression of IFNGR1, MYD88, NFκBIA, and STAT3 and activated ERK1/2 and JNK in 293T cells. In this Perspective, the basis for evaluating the figures of merit for pseudocapacitors is provided, together with the techniques used for their evaluation. The general utility and challenges encountered with neutral conjugated polymers are then discussed. Finally, recent advances on the use of CPEs in pseudocapacitor devices are reviewed. The article is concluded by discussing how their miscibility in aqueous media permits the incorporation of CPEs in living materials that are capable of switching function from extraction of energy from bacterial metabolic pathways to pseudocapacitor energy storage.The keystone species Pisaster ochraceus suffered mass mortalities along the northeast Pacific Ocean from Sea Star Wasting Syndrome (SSWS) outbreaks in 2013-2016. SSWS causation remains of debate, leading to concerns as to whether outbreaks will continue to impact this species. Considering the apparent link between ocean temperature and SSWS, the future of this species and intertidal communities remains uncertain. Surveys of co-occurring apparently normal and wasting P. ochraceus along the central Oregon coast in 2016 allowed us to address whether variation in disease status showed genetic variation that may be associated with differences in susceptibility to SSWS. We performed restriction site-associated DNA sequencing (2bRAD-seq) to genotype ~72,000 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) loci across apparently normal and wasting sea stars. Locus-specific analyses of differentiation (FST ) between disease-status groups revealed no signal of genetic differences separating the two groups. Using a multivariate approach, we observed weak separation between the groups, but identified 18 SNP loci showing highest discriminatory power between the groups and scanned the genome annotation for linked genes. A total of 34 protein-coding genes were found to be located within 15 kb (measured by linkage disequilibrium decay) of at least one of the 18 SNPs, and 30 of these genes had homologies to annotated protein databases. Our results suggest that the likelihood of developing SSWS symptoms does not have a strong genetic basis. The few genomic regions highlighted had only modest levels of differentiation, but the genes associated with these regions may form the basis for functional studies aiming to understand disease progression.Sapovirus (SaV) is an emerging cause of children gastrointestinal complications such as acute gastroenteritis (AGE). The aim of the present systematic review and meta-analysis was to estimate the global prevalence of the SaV in children and association of infection with SaVs and AGE in children based on case-control studies. Four international databases (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Sciences and Google Scholar) were used to retrieve English-language studies published between January 2000 and December 2020. Comprehensive Meta-Analysis software was applied to estimate the overall prevalence, publication bias and heterogeneity index. The pooled prevalence of SaV infection among children with gastroenteritis was 3.4% [95% confidence interval (CI) 2.9%-3.9%] based on a random-effects meta-analysis. Genogroup I was the dominant genogroup of SaV in children with gastroenteritis [2.2% (95% CI 1.6%-3.0%)], association analysis showed that SaV was associated with gastroenteritis [OR 1.843 (95% CI 1.27-2.66)]. Given the significant prevalence of the virus in children, it is necessary to pay more attention to this situation. Therefore, preventive health measures in children should be a priority.Polynary transition-metal atom catalysts are promising to supersede platinum (Pt)-based catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Regulating the local configuration of atomic catalysts is the key to catalyst performance enhancement. Different from the previously reported single-atom or dual-atom configurations, a new type of ternary-atom catalyst, which consists of atomically dispersed, nitrogen-coordinated Co-Co dimers, and Fe single sites (i.e., Co2 -N6 and Fe-N4 structures) that are coanchored on highly graphitized carbon supports is developed. This unique atomic ORR catalyst outperforms the catalysts with only Co2 -N6 or Fe-N4 sites in both alkaline and acid conditions. Density functional theory calculations clearly unravels the synergistic effect of the Co2 -N6 and Fe-N4 sites, which can induce higher filling degree of Fe-d orbitals and favors the binding capability to *OH intermediates (the rate determining step). This ternary-atom catalyst may be a promising alternative to Pt to drive the cathodic ORR in zinc-air batteries.The incorporation of electronics onto curved surfaces promises to bring new levels of intelligence to the ergonomic, aesthetic, aerodynamic, and optical surfaces that are ever-present in our lives. In this work, we present a shrink-based paradigm to apply such thin-film electronics to non-developable surfaces, expanding the capabilities of current non-developable electronics, and linking future developments in thin-film technology to similar developments in curved devices. All rights reserved.Essential oils from black cumin seeds (Nigella sativa) have largely been used in the manufacturing of nutraceuticals and functional food products due to the presence of a wide variety of bioactive compounds. However, their applications in the pharmaceutical sector have recently attracted interest and started blooming. The present research elucidates the in silico and in vitro efficacies of active leads from essential oil of N sativa against the human pathogenic bacterium Staphylococcus aureus. Biofilm development has become an inevitable situation in the health care sector. Lowering the efficacies of antimicrobial drugs is one of the vital ramifications that resulted in the emergence of multidrug resistance. Clumping factor B (clfB) of S aureus plays a key role in the human immune functions during pathogenesis. Through STRING analysis, the interacting protein partners of clfB were found to regulate biofilm pathway. Therefore, eight ligands from essential oil are docked with the critical clfB protein, which revealed p-cymene, thymoquinone and carvacrol as the robust ligands with highest binding affinity. Therefore, antibiofilm potential of N sativa essential oil at in vitro states was evaluated against S aureus. Further, real time PCR analysis showed that the expression of clfB and intercellular adhesion gene (icaA and icaD) was significantly altered upon treatment with essential oil. Altogether, the findings confirmed the antibiofilm efficacy of N sativa essential oil against S aureus. Hence, the essential oil from N. sativa was envisaged to be promising candidate to treat S aureus biofilm mediated infection.Over the past decade there has been a renewed global commitment towards building people-centred healthcare systems and enhancing the capture of patient complaints. Literature from Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) on patient complaints is sparse. In 2016, the Primary Healthcare (PHC) Department at the Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon, developed a full grievance (complaint or inquiry) redress system. This paper aims to describe the development of the national grievance handling system and analyse 5 years' worth of grievance data (2016-2020). The study entailed a retrospective analysis of grievances relating to the care of patients treated in 237 Primary Health Centres in the national PHC network in Lebanon, lodged through the central grievance uptakes channels between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2020. Between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2020, the PHC Department at the ministry of health received 562 grievances from a total of 389 unique beneficiaries Management issues made up an overwhelming 70% of all grievances, followed by relationships (20%) and clinical issues (6%). Findings indicate the need to enhance the healthcare administration, monitoring and workflow at the PHC centres and to promote the utilisation of grievance systems. The method was utilized as a synthetic tool in the preparation of a luminescent metal complex.Although adolescents' perspective on the parent-adolescent relationship uniquely predicts their mental health and wellbeing, there is limited research using qualitative methodologies to explore rich descriptions of adolescents' expectations, attitudes, and beliefs towards parents. The current study qualitatively analyzed adolescent narratives regarding their relationships with their parents. RRx001 Seventy-two adolescents (68% female; M age = 16.56) provided three-minute speech samples that were examined using thematic analysis to understand key themes in adolescent-parent relationships from adolescents' perspectives. Overall, adolescents valued positive relationships with parents (involving emotional support and companionship), respected their authority, and looked to parents to role-model-valued traits. Mentions of negative interactions were mostly absent or justified as normal. Thus, normative adolescent-parent relationships are largely positive and valued by adolescents.

To identify the non-technical skills of operating room nurses. This is the first empirical study that includes scrub and circulating operating room nurses.

A three-round modified online Delphi technique was used for this study.

Eligible participants (n=106) with a minimum of 2years of operating room nursing experience were selected for the expert panel by self-recruitment from a population (N=1640) of operating room nurses. Data were collected through online surveys, based on crew recourse management theory, between April and September 2020. Descriptive statistics analysis was used for the quantitative data, and deductive thematic analysis for the qualitative data. Consensus was determined using stability between the survey rounds.

A consensus was obtained to maintain the non-technical skills categories of situation awareness, leadership, decision-making, communication and teamwork. The qualitative data revealed several novel non-technical skills, including independent decision-making and leadership skills.
