The molecular and morphological identifications of ticks obtained from the domestic animals in the study areas revealed that they belong to three different genera namely Haemophalis, Rhipicephalus, and Amblyomma in ascending order of their abundance. Furthermore, the DNA of Theileria spp. was detected from 10 out of 962 ticks screened, with an overall infection of about 1% for Rhipicephalus spp., while none of the ticks was positive for Babesia spp. The phylogenetic analysis of the 10 theilerial sequences showed that nine (9) clustered distinctly within the T. orientalis complex clade, while only one (1) sequence formed a cluster with reference sequences of T. velifera. The findings from this study therefore expand the knowledge on recent emergence of Theileria spp. in livestock reared in the study area. This calls for an urgent effort in curbing the further spread of the pathogens in the area and beyond. The emerging-market banking sector plays a significant role in modern-day banking sector stability. In this study, we have used the dynamic conditional correlation (DCC) version of the Generalised autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity (GARCH) model to estimate the correlation among Emerging Markets (BANKSEK), Latin America (BANKSLA), Brazil, Russia, India, and China (BRIC) (BANKSBC), Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece, and Spain (PIIGS) (BANKSPI) and Far East (BANKSFE). The study covers more than 100, 200 and 300 trading days of the GFC (starting July 8, 2008) and the COVID-19 pandemic (starting January 1, 2020). We have found that generally, in the short-term excluding PIIGS, all banks show similar pairwise correlation, and the pattern holds in the medium and long term. The far east banking sector displays a reduced correlation than their counterparts, even following the same pattern. As a way of wastes-to-voltage conversion, experimental benchtest trial of electricity generation from a blend of cocoa and kolanut harvest by-products is presented in this study. Bioethanol obtained from the blend, through a process of alcoholic fermentation, was mixed with gasoline at specific proportion and employed to fire a spark ignition engine that served as a prime-mover in driving a four-pole three-phase salient-pole synchronous machine. Performance of the driving machine, as the fuel-mix proportion and its speed of rotation varied, was studied. Likewise, the electric power output characteristic of the driven machine, when operated at its rated synchronous speed, was examined. It was found that the driving machine performed better on mixed fuel than pure gasoline. There were gradual increases in the torque and the power developed by the machine as the proportion of ethanol in the fuel-mix and the rotational speed increased. While the highest values of torque and power developed on using pure gasoline were 12.4 Nm and 2574 W respectively at 1900 rpm, 13.1 Nm torque and 2953 W power were obtained from the machine when ignited with 10%-bioethanol fuel-mix at the same speed. Also, with 90 Vdc excitation voltage and rotation at 1500 rpm synchronous speed, the driven machine continuously generated electricity at 207.6 Vrms (line-to-line), 1.169 A, 0.698 power factor, 48.17 Hz, 0.294 kW output. This study demonstrated the possibility of continuous generation of electric power from cocoa and kolanut wastes. Result obtained from the laboratory-based trial indicates that at such agricultural regions that are advantaged in the production of the two crops, harvest residues of the crops can be explored as a steady source of biofuel for off-grid microgrid electrification. To overcome the problems associated with soil phosphorus (P) insolubility, soil inoculation with phosphate-solubilizing bacteria (PSB) can be used. In a field experiment, we evaluated the efficacy of PSB in enhancing mungbean P acquisition, nitrogen (N) fixation, and morphological and yield traits in alkaline-calcareous soil when added together with P as single superphosphate (SSP) or rock phosphate (RP) at 45 or 90 kg P2O5 ha-1. Coupling PSB with mineral P fertilizers (SSP & RP) improved P use efficiency, mungbean P acquisition, N2 fixation, nodulation, NP uptake, and the morphological and yield-related traits of mungbeans compared with non-fertilized controls and plots received P from mineral sources alone. Soil PSB inoculation with mineral P also improved post-harvest soil fertility relative to pre-harvest by improving soil organic matter from 0.61% to 0.70%, lowering pH from 7.74 to 7.68, and improving soil total N from 0.04 to 0.09%, ABDTPA-extractable P from 2.07 to 3.44 mg kg-1, and potassium (K) concentrations from 100.27 to 129.45 mg kg-1. When combined with PSB, RP generally performed better than SSP. Moreover, there was a significant correlation between soil N and plant N, while the correlation between soil P and plant P was non-significant. The correlation between soil organic matter content and NP uptake by mungbeans was also non-significant. Therefore, adding P as RP at 45-90 kg ha-1, together with PSB inoculation, can be recommended for improving mungbean P acquisition, use efficiency, optimum N2 fixation, and yield in alkaline-calcareous soils.Based on the conceptual framework of social mediatization of religion, this paper seeks to understand three pertinent phenomena trends of online religious content, users' engagement with them, and correlations between interaction indicators. To answer the research inquiries, we quantitatively analyzed 73,120 Islamic videos uploaded on YouTube in 2011-2020. The result shows that Islamic videos on YouTube are growing continuously without any decline, from 6.04% in 2011 to 13.11% in 2019, more than two-fold in eight years. Also, with a strong positive correlation, comments and likes (r = .862; p less then .01) are increasing at a remarkable rate than the other interaction variables. We observed that users who watch Islamic videos are more likely to like the videos than to dislike them. Users' engagement is not related to the length of Islamic videos in any significant way. These two results partly suggest users' positive and supportive attitudes toward online Islamic videos. Finally, this study recommends investigating the thematic temporal distribution of Islamic videos for an in-depth understanding of the users' topical interest patterns.

Duration of Untreated Psychosis (DUP) remains unacceptably long and limits effectiveness of care. To determine whether an early detection campaign ("Mindmap") can reduce DUP in a US community setting.

In this nonrandomized controlled trial, Mindmap targeted the catchment of one specialty first-episode service or FES (STEP, Greater New Haven) from 2015 to 2019, while usual detection efforts continued at a control FES (PREP, Greater Boston). Mindmap targeted diverse sources of delay through mass & social media messaging, professional outreach & detailing, and rapid enrollment of referrals. Both FES recruited 16-35 years old with psychosis onset ≤3 years. Outcome measures included

(onset of psychosis to FES enrollment),

(onset of psychosis to first antipsychotic medication), and

(first antipsychotic medication to FES enrollment).

171 subjects were recruited at STEP and 75 at PREP. Mindmap was associated with an increase in the number of referrals and in efficiency of engagement at STEP. Pre-campaign DUP (2014-2015) was equivalent, while Mindmap was associated with DUP reductions at STEP but not PREP.

fell significantly in both the first and the second quartile (11.5 and 58.5 days reduction per campaign year, respectively).

and

fell in the third quartiles only (46.3 and 70.3 days reduction per campaign year, respectively). No reductions were detectable across all quartiles at PREP, but between site comparisons were not significant.

This is the first controlled demonstration of community DUP reduction in the US, and can inform future early detection efforts across diverse settings.

Here, we test Bleuler's model in an archival sample of 79 healthy controls and 76 patients with chronic schizophrenia who had completed neuropsychological tests, including a measure of learning of novel word pairs, which was specifically selected to probe the structure and formation of new verbal associations. The patients also had positive and negative symptoms ratings, including measures of flat affect, anhedonia, and thought disorder. A subset of patients and controls (n = 39) had available prior archival 3-T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) measures of prefrontal cortex (PFC) gray matter volumes. In relation to controls, patients showed evidence of a selective impairment in associative learning, independent of their overall reduced neuropsychological functioning. This neuropsychological impairment, in turn, correlated significantly with overall levels of negative but not positive symptoms, with the data showing an especially strong contribution of flattened emotional expression to verbal associate learning deficits in this patient sample. Moreover, the archival MRI data were consistent with prior research pointing to an important role of the PFC in supporting verbal associate learning and memory in patients and controls. Taken together, the current results provided evidence of a selective impairment in schizophrenia on a PFC-supported verbal associate learning and memory task, which was accompanied by negative symptoms in general, and flattened emotional expression, in particular. The repairment of critical-sized bone defects is a serious problem that stimulates the development of new biomaterials. In this study, nanohydroxyapatite (nHA)-doped porous polyetheretherketone (pPEEK) were successfully fabricated by the thermally induced phase separation method and hydrothermal treatment. Structural analysis was performed by X-ray diffraction. Selleckchem Fluorofurimazine The water contact angles and scanning electron microscopy were measured to assess physical properties of surfaces. The mechanical strength of the composites is also determined. Microcomputed tomography is used to characterize the nHA content of the composites. The in vitro bioactivity of the composites with or without nHA was investigated by using murine pre-osteoblasts MC3T3-E1, and the results of cytotoxicity and cell proliferation assays revealed that the cytocompatibility of all specimens was good. Adherence assays were employed to examine the adhesion and morphology of cells on different materials. However, nHA-doped composites induced cell attachment and cell spreading more significantly. Osteogenic differentiation was investigated using alkaline phosphatase activity and alizarin red staining, and these in vitro results demonstrated that composites containing nHA particles enhanced osteoblast differentiation. Its effectiveness for promoting osteogenesis was also confirmed in an in vivo animal experiment using a tibial defective rat model. After 8 weeks of implantation, compared to the pure PEEK and pPEEK without nHA groups, the nHA-pPEEK group showed better osteogenic activity. The results indicate that the nHA-pPEEK composites are possibly a well-designed bone substitute for critical-sized bone defects by promoting bone regeneration and osteointegration successfully.
