We overexpressed ETS1 in both cell lines, finding that olmutinib inhibited the cell viability of K562 and K562/ADR in a concentration-dependent manner. The cytotoxicity of Dox to EST1-overexpressing K562/ADR cells was enhanced by olmutinib. Olmutinib also promoted apoptosis of K562 and K562/ADR cells compared with Dox treatment alone. In vivo, olmutinib enhanced the inhibitory effects of Dox on ETS1-overexpressing K562/ADR cell xenograft growth. CONCLUSIONS Our results suggest that the novel EGFR TKI olmutinib enhances the sensitivity of ETS1-overexpressing leukemia cells to Dox.Similar to the global scenario, pneumococcal diseases are a significant health concern in India. Pneumococcal diseases occur frequently among adults and are largely preventable through vaccines. Globally, several guidelines and recommendations are available for pneumococcal vaccination in adults. However, owing to wide variations in the disease burden, regulatory landscape, and health-care system in India, such global guidelines cannot be unconditionally implemented throughout the country. To address these gaps, the Indian Chest Society and National College of Chest Physicians of India jointly conducted an expert meeting in January 2019. The aim of the discussion was to lay down specific evidence-based recommendations on adult pneumococcal vaccination for the country, with a view to further ameliorate the disease burden in the country. This article presents an overview of the closed-door discussion by the expert members on clinical practice guidelines to be followed for adult pneumococcal vaccination in India.Influenza, a common cause of acute respiratory infections, is an important health problem worldwide, including in India. Influenza is associated with several complications; people with comorbidities and the elderly are at a higher risk for such complications. Moreover, the influenza virus constantly changes genetically, thereby worsening therapeutic outcomes. Vaccination is an effective measure for the prevention of influenza. Despite the availability of global guidelines on influenza vaccination in adults, country-specific guidelines based on regional variation in disease burden are required for better disease management in India. With this aim, the Indian Chest Society and National College of Chest Physicians of India jointly conducted an expert meeting in January 2019. The discussion was aimed at delineating evidence-based recommendations on adult influenza vaccination in India. The present article discusses expert recommendations on clinical practice guidelines to be followed in India for adult influenza vaccination, for better management of the disease burden.Single crystals of Rb2CaCu6(PO4)4O2 were synthesized by a hydrothermal method in the multicomponent system CuCl2-Ca(OH)2-RbCl-B2O3-Rb3PO4. The synthesis was carried out in the temperature range from 690 to 700 K and at the general pressure of 480-500 atm [1 atm = 101.325 kPa] from the mixture in the molar ratio 2CuOCaORb2OB2O3P2O5. The crystals studied by single-crystal X-ray analysis were found to be monoclinic, space group C2, a = 16.8913 (4), b = 5.6406 (1), c = 8.3591 (3) Å, β = 93.919 (3)°, V = 794.57 (4) Å3. The crystal structure of Rb2CaCu6(PO4)4O2 is similar to that of shchurovskyite and dmisokolovite and is based upon a heteropolyhedral open framework formed by polar layers of copper polyhedra linked via isolated PO4 tetrahedra. The presence of well-isolated 2D heteropolyhedral layers in the title compound suggests low-dimensional magnetic behavior which is masked, however, by the fierce competition between multiple ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic exchange interactions. At TC = 25 K, Rb2CaCu6(PO4)4O2 reaches a magnetically ordered state with large residual magnetization.During a comprehensive study of a series of 2-(N-arylimino)coumarin-3-carboxamides with the aryl group substituted in the ortho-position by either a halogen atom, a methyl group or a methoxy group, the existence of three groups of isotypic crystal structures has been revealed. The similarity of crystal structures belonging to the same groups was confirmed by the analysis based on the comparison of pairwise interactions energies obtained from quantum chemical calculations. Group I includes unsubstituted, methyl-substituted and polymorphic modification 1 of fluoro-substituted 2-(N-arylimino)coumarin-3-carboxamide. Structures of polymorphic modification 2 of fluoro-substituted derivative, chloro-substituted and polymorphic modification 1 of bromo-substituted 2-(N-arylimino)coumarin-3-carboxamide may represent group II. Group III contains structures of polymorphic modification 2 of bromo-substituted derivative, iodine- and methoxy-substituted 2-(N-arylimino)coumarin-3-carboxamides. Structures of the same type group have extremely close parameters of the unit cell as well as those of molecular and crystal structures. But they are not identical. Polymorphic modifications of fluoro- and bromo-substituted 2-(N-arylimino)coumarin-3-carboxamides belong to different crystal types mainly due to different arrangement of basic structural motifs separated out using quantum chemical calculations. In this work the crystal structure by single crystal X-ray measurement and optical properties of 1D propane-1,2-diammonium pentachlorobismuthate [NH3CH2CH(NH3)CH3]BiCl5 organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite are presented. read more It is prepared by mixing ethanolic solution of equimolar ratios (11) of its basic components. The title compound crystallized in the noncentrosymmetric orthorhombic space group Pca21 with Z = 8 molecules per unit cell. The unit-cell parameters are a = 19.8403 (7) Å, b = 6.3303 (2) Å, c = 19.0314 (7) Å. The vibrational spectra are studied by Raman and infrared spectroscopy. The optical properties show a strong absorption in the ultraviolet region, the band gap energy Eg is found to be 3.15 eV. Cathodoluminescence measurements are also discussed. The crystal structure and composition of the zeta phase in the group VB transition metal carbides are not completely understood despite decades of experimental studies. As such, the phase rarely appears on phase diagrams of the group VB transition metal carbides. There is currently renewed interest in this phase, as tantalum carbide composites exhibit high fracture toughness in the presence of this phase. This work extends the initial computational study using density functional theory of the phase stability of the zeta phase in the tantalum carbide system, where the tantalum carbide zeta-phase crystal structure and stability were determined, to the niobium and vanadium carbides. It is shown that the zeta phases in the three systems share the same crystal structure and it is an equilibrium phase at low temperatures. The carbon atom ordering in the three different phases is explored and it is demonstrated that the zeta phase in the tantalum carbides prefers to order carbon atoms differently than in the niobium and vanadium carbide zeta phases.
