The evidence of the present study reported a high level of acceptability and knowledge level of e-learning techniques, compared to frontal lecture methods, in the fields of orthodontics and paediatric dentistry.

To evaluate geometric variations of patients receiving stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) after radical prostatectomy and the dosimetric benefits of stereotactic MRI guided adaptive radiotherapy (SMART) to compensate for these variations.

The CTV and OAR were contoured on 55 MRI setup scans of 11 patients treated with an MR-LINAC and enrolled in a phase II trial of post-prostatectomy SBRT. All patients followed institutional bladder and rectum preparation protocols and received five fractions of 6-6.8 Gy to the prostate bed. Interfractional changes in volume were calculated and shape deformation was quantified by the Dice similar coefficient (DSC). Changes in CTV-V95%, bladder and rectum maximum dose, V32.5Gy and V27.5Gy were predicted by recalculating the initial plan on daily MRI. SMART was retrospectively simulated if the predicted dose exceeded pre-set criteria.

The CTV volume and shape remained stable with a median volumetric change of 3.0% (IQR -3.0% to 11.5%) and DSC of 0.83 (IQR 0.79 to 0.88). Relatively large volumetric changes in bladder (median -24.5%, IQR -34.6% to 14.5%) and rectum (median 5.4%, IQR - 9.7% to 20.7%) were observed while shape changes were moderate (median DSC of 0.79 and 0.73, respectively). The median CTV-V95% was 98.4% (IQR 94.9% to 99.6%) for the predicted doses. However, SMART would have been deemed beneficial for 78.2% of the 55 fractions based on target undercoverage (16.4%), exceeding OAR constraints (50.9%), or both (10.9%). Simulated SMART improved the dosimetry and met dosimetric criteria in all fractions. Moderate correlations were observed between the CTV-V95% and target DSC (R2 = 0.73) and bladder mean dose versus volumetric changes (R2 = 0.61).

Interfractional dosimetric variations resulting from anatomic deformation are commonly encountered with post-prostatectomy RT and can be mitigated with SMART.Just-in-time adaptive intervention (JITAI) has gained attention recently and previous studies have indicated that it is an effective strategy in the field of mobile healthcare intervention. Identifying the right moment for the intervention is a crucial component. In this paper the reinforcement learning (RL) technique has been used in a smartphone exercise application to promote physical activity. This RL model determines the 'right' time to deliver a restricted number of notifications adaptively, with respect to users' temporary context information (i.e., time and calendar). A four-week trial study was conducted to examine the feasibility of our model with real target users. JITAI reminders were sent by the RL model in the fourth week of the intervention, while the participants could only access the app's other functionalities during the first 3 weeks. Eleven target users registered for this study, and the data from 7 participants using the application for 4 weeks and receiving the intervening reminders were analyzed. Not only were the reaction behaviors of users after receiving the reminders analyzed from the application data, but the user experience with the reminders was also explored in a questionnaire and exit interviews. The results show that 83.3% reminders sent at adaptive moments were able to elicit user reaction within 50 min, and 66.7% of physical activities in the intervention week were performed within 5 h of the delivery of a reminder. Our findings indicated the usability of the RL model, while the timing of the moments to deliver reminders can be further improved based on lessons learned.Studies from India and several eastern African countries found that the impact of dairy animal ownership on household nutrition varied greatly, depending on the socio-geographic context. The purpose of this study was to examine the association between livestock ownership and household dietary quality in rural Kolar district, India. We collected data from a household survey in four study villages (n = all 195 households of the four villages) of Kolar district, applying a cross-sectional design. Kendall's rank correlation coefficient was employed to determine the correlation between milk consumption and other dietary variables. Multivariable logistic regression was used to describe the relationship between dairy animal ownership and household milk consumption. Households owning dairy animals more often had access to irrigation (58.3% vs. 25.2%) and were less often woman-headed (2.4% vs. 22.5%). Household milk consumption was significantly correlated with consumption of vegetable variety, egg, and meat (all p-values less then 0.05). After adjusting for multiple confounders, the odds ratio of milk consumption between dairy animal-owning households as compared to other households was 2.11 (95% confidence interval 0.85, 5.45). While dairy animal ownership was found to be associated with improved dietary quality, larger households were in a better position to adopt dairy animals, which, in turn, might contribute to better household nutrition.The production of pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and final products strongly depends on the utilization of water.
