To find out inter-professional collaboration among speech-language pathologists and nurses in acute care in Pakistan.

This was a cross sectional study which was conducted in all government and private hospitals of Islamabad and Rawalpindi having facility of ICUs after taking consent from authorities. The duration of study was six months from October 2018 to February 2019. A total number of 350 participants (200 nurses, 150 speech language pathologists) working in ICU of different private and government hospitals of Pakistan were included in the study. Standardized questionnaire of " assessment of inter-professioal collaboration scale" (AITCS) was circulated to nurses and speech language pathologists (SLPS) working in ICU with its subscale's partnership, coordination, cooperation and shared decision making on a 5-point likert scale. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 21.Measure of mean was obtained by independent sample t-test. P- Value less than 0.05 was considered as significant.

Statistical analysis There is no significant difference in cooperation.

To compare the efficacy and safety of midazolam-ketamine combination versus fentanyl-propofol combination in pediatric diagnostic colonoscopy.

This is a retrospective study of 68 children undergoing diagnostic gastroenterology with midazolam-ketamine combination (Group-K) or with fentanyl-propofol combination (Group-P) in the pediatric gastroentology department at a Turkish tertiary hospital between January 2015 and June 2017. An intravenous midazolam was administered one minute before ketamine administration in Group K. Intravenous fentanyl was given to Group P, followed by intravenous propofol.

There were statistically no significant differences between the groups as for age, gender, weight, duration of colonoscopy and complications observed during procedure. Ramsay sedation score was significantly higher in Group K. Recovery time and the rate of complications during the recovery of Group-K (23 patients, 65.7%) was significantly higher than that of Group P (8 patients, 24.2%) (p= 0.001).

Colonoscopy procedures can be quite comfortable in children when using the midazolam-ketamine combination. However, adverse effects related to ketamine were observed during recovery.

Subjective memory complaints (SMCs) are suggested to predict dementia at a very early stage. However, association of SMCs with known risk factors of dementia namely diabetes mellitus Type-2 diabetes and hypertension (HTN) remain unexplored which is the main aim of this study. The objective of the study was to investigate the association of SMC with diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM2) and hypertension (HTN).

The associations of diabetes and hypertension, with SMCs has been tested in 500 participants from a tertiary care hospital of Karachi during 2017. Diagnosed cases of diabetes and hypertension were included through convenient sampling. Healthy attendants of patients were interviewed for the reference group. SMCs were assessed through a 14-item SMC questionnaire.

Sample included 114 patients with only diabetes and hypertension each, 103 with both diabetes and hypertension and 169 healthy participants. Compared to healthy adults, persons with diabetes and hypertension had higher SMCs (difference, 0.88, 95% CI 0.22, 1.54) (difference, 1.06, 95% CI 0.40, 1.71) respectively, in fully adjusted models.

Compared to healthy adults of working age-group, persons with diabetes and hypertension were more likely to have SMCs. Assessment and early detection of SMCs in persons with diabetes and hypertension might be informative to provide a window for effective interventions to maintain cognitive health.

To develop an indigenous anxiety scale for adults and to assess the prevalence of anxiety among the adults.

Descriptive explanatory research design was carried out from 1

January 2018 to 31

May 2019 at the Department of Psychology, University of Gujrat. The indigenous anxiety scale for adults was used for data collection. Scale consisted on three sub scales which are used to assess the cognitive symptoms, behavior and physiological symptoms through CFA value and alpha reliability. Sample of adequacy is .965, Confirmatory Factor Analysis value .914, alpha reliability .974 were taken as standard. In cognitive symptoms subscale's alpha was 0.958, Behavior subscale .943 and Physiological symptoms subscale alpha was α .912.

The prevalence of anxiety in 20-29 years individuals exhibited 17.5% (male 38.8%; female 62.2) symptoms of anxiety. 30-39 Years people showed 12.9% (male =56.9%; female=43.1%) , 40-49 years individuals showed 16.5% of anxiety and in late adulthood 50-60 years old people showed highest level of anxiety 22.10% (male=68.3%; female= 31.7).

The anxiety scale for adults is a reliable indigenous scale for measuring anxiety in adults. Further, the prevalence rate of anxiety in adult population is alarming indication and middle and late adulthood suffered more anxiety as compare to early adulthood.

To investigate the efficacy and safety of endovascular treatment in patients having acute ischemic stroke with over-time window under DWI-FLAIR mismatch.

From January 2018 to January 2020, 80 patients who met the research criteria in the First Central Hospital of Baoding, China were selected. According to the time of onset, they were divided into test group and control group, with 40 cases in each group. Forty patients in the test group were beyond time window (6~24h) and the MRI showed a DWI-FLAIR mismatch. Forty patients in the control group were within the time window (< 6h). All patients received endovascular treatment (EVT). The mRS, NIHSS and infarct volume of patients in the test group were compared and analyzed before and 30 and 90 days after treatment, as well as the indicators of both groups of patients before and after treatment, to determine therapeutic effect in patients receiving EVT beyond time window. Meanwhile, the recanalization of the blood vessel and the incidence of cerebral hemorre window and large vessel occlusion. It has the advantages of short examination time, non-invasiveness, no need for contrast agents, simple implementation, clear guidance.

To determine intra-rater and inter-rater reliability of hand-held dynamometer for assessing isometric lumbar muscle strength in asymptomatic healthy population.

It was a cross-sectional study conducted at the department of physiotherapy, University of Lahore Teaching Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan, from July 2020 to August 2020 through non probability-purposive sampling technique. Thirty healthy subjects were tested at thirty-degree lumbar flexion and zero-degree lumbar extension positions. Two raters assessed isometric strength of lumbar flexor and extensor muscles, by a hand-held dynamometer. Strength was measured and recorded by each of the two raters and re-assessed after a week. Correlation and pairwise comparison were done between readings. ICC values were calculated for the assessment of isometric lumbar muscle strength using handheld dynamometer.

A total of 30 healthy subjects had participated with mean age of 22.84±1.21 years, height 174.33±6.83 cm, weight 68.58±5.08 kg and BMI 22.52±0.35. Findings showed an excellent intra-rater (ICC 2, k = 0.95 to 0.97) and inter-rater (ICC 2, k = 0.94 to 0.95) reliability.

Hand held dynamometer demonstrated an excellent intra- and inter-rater reliability for assessment of isometric lumbar muscles strength of healthy subject at clinical setting as it is simple to use, portable and cost-effective for the precise measurement of lumbar muscles strength.

To quantify satisfaction among pharmacists working in pharmaceutical sales or marketing in Pakistan.

A cross-sectional study was conducted among pharmacists working in pharmaceutical sales and marketing during August to November, 2019. Satisfaction score of pharmacists was considered satisfied (Score > 2.5) and dissatisfied (Score < 2.5). The maximum and minimum satisfaction score was four and one for each question respectively.

A total of 250 questionnaires were distributed and 200 were received back yielding a response rate of 80%. Male respondents dominated the cohort and were more satisfied (2.60 ± 0.47) as compared to females (2.31 ± 0.48) with majority were 18-30 years old and 78% had Pharm. D level of education (2.61 ± 0.47). The mean satisfaction score of participant is 2.51 with standard deviation of 0.49. The 53% of the respondents were dissatisfied with their salaries. The study dependent and independent variables are correlated with each other and significant results were seen between them.
