However, conventional lithium batteries, which are currently the main power supply of wearable electronic devices, have some critical issues, such as frequent charging, environmental pollution, and no surface adaptability, which limit the further development of wearable electronic devices. To address these challenges, we present a flexible hybrid photothermoelectric generator (PTEG) with a simple structure composed of a thermoelectric generator (TEG) and a light-to-thermal conversion layer to simultaneously harvest thermal and radiation energies based on a single working mechanism. The mature mass-fabrication technology of screen printing was applied to successively prepare n-type (i.e., Bi2Te2.7Se0.3) and p-type (i.e., Sb2Te3) thermoelectric inks atop a polyimide substrate to form the TEG with a serpentine thermocouple chain, which was further covered by a light-to-thermal conversion layer to constitute the PTEG. The resulting PTEG with five pairs of thermocouples generated a direct-current output of 82.4 mV at a temperature difference of 50 °C and a direct-current output of 41.2 mV under 20 mW/cm2 infrared radiation. Meanwhile, the remarkable mechanical reliability and output stability were experimentally demonstrated through a systematic test, which indicated the feasibility and potential of the developed PTEG as a reliable power source. In addition, as desirable application prototypes, the fabricated PTEGs have been successfully demonstrated to harvest biothermal energy and infrared radiation to drive portable electronic devices (e.g., a calculator and a clock). All calls to the NTQLS were monitored over 1 year, six months before and after the tobacco Quitline number on tobacco packets came to effect. Call details such as tobacco user's demographic profile, tobacco use habit, follow-up and quitting status also extracted through Call Detail Record (CDR) files from the server of NTQLS for the purpose of this study. Calls hit on IVR (Interacted Voice Response) increased by 7.7 times, on an average 6064 calls daily hit on NTQLS's IVR after the new health warning consisting of toll-free number on tobacco packets came into effect. Tobacco user registration increased by 3.3 times (18039 vs 5469). Overall, 264.5% (4790) relative increment in tobacco quitters, as it were only 1314 quitters six months before the new health warning. 100% callers cited tobacco packets as the primary source of tobacco Quitline toll-free number. PSC, including embryonic stem cells (ESC) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), are rapidly dividing cells with highly active DNA damage response (DDR) mechanisms to ensure the stability and integrity of the DNA. In PSCs, the most common DDR mechanism is error-free homologous recombination (HR) that is primarily active during S phase of the cell cycle, whereas in quiescent, slow-dividing or non-dividing tissue progenitors and terminally differentiated cells, error-prone non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) mechanism of the double-strand break (DSB) repair is dominating. Thus, it seems that reprogramming and differentiation induce DNA strand breaks in stem cells which itself may trigger the differentiation process. Somatic cell reprogramming to iPSCs is preceded by a transient increase of the DSBs induced presumably by the caspase-dependent DNase or reactive oxygen species (ROS). In general, pluripotent stem cells possess stronger DNA repair systems compared to the differentiated cells. Nonetheless, during a prolonged cell culture propagation, DNA breaks can accumulate due to the DNA polymerase stalling. Consequently, the DNA damage might trigger the differentiation of stem cells or a replicative senescence of somatic cells. Differentiation process per se is often accompanied by a decrease of the DNA repair capacity. Thus, the differentiation might be triggered by DNA breaks, alternatively the breaks can be a consequence of the decay in the DNA repair capacity of differentiated cells.

The purpose of this study is to capture the variety of issues that concern patients and to examine the extent to which personal characteristics of patients, such as education, ethnicity, age, gender and conditions of hospitalisation, influence the tendency to "express (negative) voice" and raise "critical views".

Using data obtained from the 2014 Survey of Health Satisfaction in Israel, the study focuses on patients' responses to an open-ended question regarding the medical care experience in hospitals.

The analysis reveals that "the voice of patients" spreads across a wide variety of issues, including the physical condition of the hospital and caregiver behaviour. Multivariate regression models show that subgroups with greater access to social and economic resources (i.e. in Israel, individuals who are Jewish), academics, women and younger patients are more likely to express critical voice regarding the hospitalisation experience. Likewise, inferior hospitalisation conditions are likely to increase expression of negative "voice" and criticism.

The findings underscore the importance and value of open-ended questions in evaluating healthcare satisfaction, suggesting that the likelihood of expressing critical voice is higher among patients of high socio-economic status - perhaps because they are more likely to expect, demand and feel entitled to high-quality care. Likewise, inferior hospitalisation conditions increase the critical voice.
