GFAP staining in Müller cells was seen in the eye of a fetus of 38 WOG who died postnatally and in the infant eyes with and without history of AHT. Additionally, GFAP staining was present in the astrocytes of fetal and infant eyes. All examined markers were expressed by Müller cells at different developmental stages highlighting the plasticity of Müller cells during the development of the human eye. The present study investigated miRNA-19b-3p level in SCI rats induced by modified Allen method, as well as the role of miRNA-19b-3p in osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). MiRNA-19b-3p expression and bone mineral density (BMD) of femurs were measured at day 21 and day 60 after SCI in rats. Obvious miRNA-19b-3p up-regulation and aggravated bone loss were observed. MiRNA-19b-3p overexpression suppressed BMSC-derived osteoblast differentiation, which was confirmed by the decrease in alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, EBF2 expression, osteoprotegrin (OPG) to receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL) ratio and cell mineralization degree. Besides, MiRNA-19b-3p knockdown could reverse this phenomenon. Dual-luciferase reporter assays verified the targeting relationship between miRNA-19b-3p and EBF2. The in vivo experiments confirmed miRNA-19b-3p down-regulation could significantly attenuate osteoporosis after SCI, which was verified by increased BMD, collagen content, femur mineralization degree, EBF2 protein, and OPG-to-RANKL ratio. The blood samples of patients and controls were collected from Al-Alawiya Maternity Teaching Hospital/Baghdad/Iraq from 2019 to 2020 for detecting anti-T. gondii antibodies (IgG and IgM) and the level of interleukins by ELISA. The results of TORCH by rapid test for recurrent abortion recorded 25.3% seropositive for anti-Toxoplasma antibodies, and 31.5% seropositive for one or more cases of TORCH test (Cytomegalovirus, Rubella, and Herpes). Whereas the results for anti-T. gondii IgG and IgM antibodies were shown elevated positivity percentages by ELISA test; these percentages were 56.2% in recurrent abortion women with significant differences (P less then 0.05). The results suggested that the IL-3 serum concentration of pregnant women, recurrent abortion, and recurrent abortion with toxoplasmosis was declined versus healthy women with significant differences (p less then 0.05). However, the results revealed that the concentration of IL-17A in recurrent abortion, and recurrent abortion with toxoplasmosis elevated versus healthy women and pregnant women with significant difference (p less then 0.05). Whereas the results indicated that the IL-27 serum concentration elevated with significant differences in recurrent abortion with toxoplasmosis group compared to healthy women, pregnant women, and recurrent abortion. Interestingly, the serum levels for IL-27 increased comparing to the levels of IL-3 and IL-17A in all groups with significant differences (P less then 0.05). Recent studies have shown oligodendrocyte (OL) loss and demyelination along with dopamine (DA) increase and behavioral abnormalities in CPZ-exposed mice, demonstrating its application in schizophrenia research. This study examined effects of CPZ exposure on autonomous behavior and dopaminergic neurotransmission in larval zebra fish. CPZ exposure was found to reduce the swimming velocity of zebra fish thus decreased swimming distance during day and night time. Moreover, the treatment induced a movement response of zebra fish larvae reacting to light-on/off switch featured by swimming velocity increase and decrease during the first and second half of the light-on/off phase, respectively. But, it abolished responses of zebra fish to sound-on/off seen in Control group. HPLC analysis showed elevated DA levels in the zebra fish, no change in NE and 5-HT levels. Transcriptome analysis reported changes in gene expression related to dopaminergic synapse and oxidative phosphorylation in CPZ-exposed larvae relative to Control group. Of the gene expression changes, up-regulation of drd2a, drd2b, drd4a and drd4rs was confirmed by RT-PCR, although no difference existed between Control and CPZ groups in dopaminergic neuron numbers. These results demonstrated dopaminergic hyperactivity and locomotor deficit in CPZ-exposed zebra fish larvae, encouraging further application of this model in exploring neurotoxic effects of CPZ on mitochondria and dopaminergic neurotransmission in zebra fish.It has become widely appreciated that the spinal cord has significant neuroplastic potential, is not hard-wired, and that with traumatic injury and anatomical plasticity, the networks that we once understood now comprise a new anatomy. Harnessing advances in neuroanatomical tracing to map the neuronal networks of the intact and injured spinal cord has been crucial to elucidating this new spinal cord anatomy. Many new techniques have been developed to identify these networks using a variety of retrograde and anterograde tracers. One method of tracing that has become more widely used to map anatomical changes is transneuronal tracing. Viral tracers are being increasingly used to map spinal networks, leading to an advanced understanding of spinal circuitry and host-donor-host interactions between the injured spinal cord and neural transplants. This review will highlight advances in neuronal tracing, specifically using pseudorabies virus (PRV), and its use in the intact, injured, and transplanted spinal cord.

COVID-19 caused more than 260,000 hospitalizations and nearly 64,000 deaths in France in 2020. Vaccination has become the best hope for gaining control of the pandemic. Our objective is to map the major risks associated with organization of the start of a COVID-19 immunization campaign in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, from December 2020 to April 2021 (inclusive).

The process associated with organization of a COVID-19 immunization campaign was described. Risks, causes, consequences and control elements were identified by 14 semi-structured interviews, involving 19 professionals involved in the important stages in the process. The analysis was performed using the process approach and by a Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).

The process is divided into two approaches, one collective and one individual. Forty-seven risks have been identified and 15 actions proposed. Regional supply logistics chain, vaccination sites, appointment management and the Vaccine-COVID information system are the critical points. Overwork is the most common risk, which has been experienced by the study participants (n=18). It favours the disaffection of the health professionals, which is the major threat of this organization. Eligibility, medical consultation, and the post-vaccination period are under control.

To examine the effects of early postdischarge rehabilitation on care needs-level deterioration in older Japanese patients.

Propensity score-matched retrospective cohort study.

A secondary data analysis was conducted using medical and long-term care insurance claims data from a suburban city in Japan.

We analyzed patients (N=2746) aged 65 years or older who were discharged from hospital to home between April 2012 and March 2014 and had care needs certification indicating functional impairment.

The provision of early rehabilitation services by rehabilitation therapists within 1 month of discharge. Propensity score matching was used to control for differences in characteristics between patients with and without early rehabilitation services.

Any deterioration in care needs level during the 12-month period after discharge. Cox proportional hazards analyses were conducted to identify the association between the exposure and outcome variables after matching.

Among 2746 patients, 573 (20.9%) used early rehabilitation services.
