ment in combination with a psychological intervention. They were evaluated before and after the intervention through the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale and the Beck Depression Inventory-II for anxiety and depression symptomatology, respectively, the Short Form Health Survey 36 (SF-36) was used to assess the subject's quality of life, and the Numerical Rating Scale was used for pain assessment. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test showed a significant difference in Beck Depression Inventory-II (P  less then  .001), Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (P  less then  .01), and Numerical Rating Scale (P = .004). Selleckchem BMS-265246 In the SF-36 scores, we observed a significant difference between T0 and T1 in both mental (P  less then  .001) and physical (P  less then  .001) dimensions. This study shows that a chronic pain reduction leads to a decrease of anxiety-depressive symptoms and an improvement in quality of life. PRF seems to be an appropriate method to reduce the chronic pain that influences psychological well-being and quality of life.

We aimed to explore the application of three-dimensional (3D) printing technology with problem-based learning (PBL) teaching model in clinical nursing education of congenital heart surgery, and to further improve the teaching quality of clinical nursing in congenital heart surgery. In this study, a total of 132 trainees of clinical nursing in congenital heart surgery from a grade-A tertiary hospital in 2019 were selected and randomly divided into 3D printing group or traditional group. The 3D printing group was taught with 3D printed heart models combined with PBL teaching technique, while the traditional group used conventional teaching aids combined with PBL technique for teaching. After the teaching process, the 2 groups of nursing students were assessed and surveyed separately to evaluate the results. Compared to the traditional group, the theoretical scores, clinical nursing thinking ability, self-evaluation for comprehensive ability, and teaching satisfaction from the questionnaires filled by the 3D pe 2 groups of nursing students were assessed and surveyed separately to evaluate the results. Compared to the traditional group, the theoretical scores, clinical nursing thinking ability, self-evaluation for comprehensive ability, and teaching satisfaction from the questionnaires filled by the 3D printing group were all higher than the traditional group. The difference was found to be statistically significant (P  less then  .05). Our study has shown the 3D printing technology combined with the PBL teaching technique in the clinical nursing teaching of congenital heart surgery achieved good results.

The outbreak and widely spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has become a global public health concern. COVID-19 has caused an unprecedented and profound impact on the whole world, and the prevention and control of COVID-19 is a global public health challenge remains to be solved. The retrospective analysis of the large scale tests of SARS-CoV-2 RNA may indicate some important information of this pandemic. We selected 12400 SARS-CoV-2 tests detected in Wuhan in the first semester of 2020 and made a systematic analysis of them, in order to find some beneficial clue for the consistent prevention and control of COVID-19.SARS-CoV-2 RNA was detected in suspected COVID-19 patients with real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR). The patients' features including gender, age, type of specimen, source of patients, and the dynamic changes of the clinical symptoms were recorded and statistically analyzed. Quantitative and qualitive statistical analysis were carried out after laboratory detection. The pohan at the first months of COVID-19 epidemics. SARS-CoV-2 RT-qPCR test of nasopharyngeal swabs might produce 4.79% (594/12400) presumptive results. The positive rate of SARS-CoV-2 RNA was significantly different between gender, age, type of specimen, source of patients, respectively (P less then .05). The median window period from the occurrence of clinical symptom or close contact with COVID-19 patient to the first detection of positive PCR was 2 days (interquartile range, 1-4 days). The median interval time from the first SARS-CoV-2 positive to the turning negative was 14 days (interquartile range, 8-19.25 days).This study reveals the comprehensive characteristics of the SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection from multiple perspectives, and it provides important clues and may also supply useful suggestions for future work of the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.

Diet plays a crucial role as a modifiable risk factor related to the development of metabolic syndrome (MetS) and its cluster. Constitution type of traditional Korean medicine has shown accuracy to predict the risk for MetS. We attempted to examine the association between nutritional status, pre-MetS, and its cluster in Korean adults by their constitution type.Participants aged 30 to 55 years who had no cancer or cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) were assigned to join in the present study. Pre-MetS was defined as ≥2 of the following factors abdominal obesity; elevated triglycerides (TG); reduced high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C); elevated blood pressure (BP); and elevated fasting plasma glucose (FPG). Constitution type was categorized into Tae-Eumin (TE) or non-TE. Dietary assessment of the subjects were surveyed using a short-form of the food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) and the nutrition quotient (NQ), which uses 4 factors, namely, balance, diversity, moderation, and dietary behavior.A total of 9r people who are vulnerable to health risk.

Some new trials have reported the effectiveness of chronic kidney disease on recurrence of atrial fibrillation following catheter ablation. Limited by small number of studies and insufficient outcomes, previous meta-analyses also failed to draw a consistent conclusion on this topic. We thus conducted a new meta-analysis to systematically analyze the effect of chronic kidney disease on recurrence of atrial fibrillation following catheter ablation.

Two independent investigators followed The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) reporting guidelines to conduct the present meta-analysis. From the inception to June 2021, the EMBASE, PubMed, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library electronic databases were searched using the key phrases "atrial fibrillation," "chronic kidney disease," "catheter ablation," "renal failure," "renal function," "renal insufficiency," "end-stage renal disease," and "dialysis" for all relevant English-language trials. Observational or randomized controlled trial focusing on assessing the effectiveness of chronic kidney disease on recurrence of atrial fibrillation following catheter ablation was included.
