Rapid on-site evaluation(ROSE),an auxiliary sampling quality evaluation technology,can be used to evaluate the adequacy and diagnostic category of samples,judge the histological type of lung cancer,and optimize the gene type of lung cancer.Applying ROSE to endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration of suspected lung cancer can improve the puncture success rate and diagnostic rate and reduce complications and puncture attempts.Rose performed via remote cytopathology technology or by trained respiratory specialists may become the future trends.Kidney is one of the important organs of the body.With both excretory and endocrine functions,it plays a vital role in regulating the normal physiological state.As a precursor of the nitric oxide(NO)synthesis in vivo,L-arginine is involved in intracellular and intercellular signaling via NO,a vasoactive factor,thus plays a key role in maintaining the normal physiological functions of the kidney.Alpha1-adrenergic receptor(α1-AR)mediates sympathetic nerves to regulate the heart,blood vessels,and nervous system of the body.The α1-AR distributed in vascular smooth muscle mainly mediates vasoconstriction.The responsiveness of α1-AR to adrenergic agonists decreases in rat models of kidney failure,diabetes,hypertension,and left ventricular hypertrophy,which affects the hemodynamic state and vascular tone of the kidney.Here we analyze the ways via which L-arginine improves the responsiveness of α1-AR to its agonists by ellucidating the action mode of NO/α1-AR and their effects on renal functions.Proteins exert their roles in life activities via post-translational modifications(PTMs),which include phosphorylation,acetylation,ubiquitination,glycosylation,and methylation.These modifications can change the functions of proteins and play key roles in a variety of diseases.Endometriosis is a common disease in women of childbearing age,although its molecular mechanisms remain unclear.Recent studies have shown that PTMs may be involved in the pathogenesis of endometriosis.Here we review the roles of PTMs in the occurrence and development of endometriosis and the potential medical treatments.Ionizing radiation causes the massive apoptosis of human tissue cells,leading to dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract and hematopoietic system.Thus,high-efficiency,low-toxicity radiation protection drugs are urgently needed.Toll-like receptor agonists have been developed based on the anti-apoptotic mechanism of tumor cells in recent years,which exert their radioprotective effects by activating downstream pathways,mainly nuclear factor-κB.Here we elucidate several agonists of Toll-like receptors involved in radiation protection,with an attempt to inform the research and development of new radiation protection agents.Objective To investigate the relationship between serum cystatin C(CysC)level and vascular complications in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients with normal renal function. Methods Totally 218 T2DM patients who were treated in the Department of Endocrinology,Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College from January 2017 to May 2018 were enrolled.All subjects were divided into four groups based on the quartiles of serum CysC levelsG1 group≤ 0.56 mg/L,58 cases;G2 group0.57-0.73 mg/L,52 cases;G3 group0.74-1.11 mg/L,56 cases;G4 group≥ 1.12 mg/L,52 cases.The general data,biochemical indicators,glycated albumin,hemoglobin A1c,CysC were compared among these four groups,and the risk of vascular complications with increasing CysC levels was analyzed. Results The carotid atherosclerosis showed significant difference between G4 group and G1 group(χ2=-20.022,P =0.001),while no statistically significant difference was seen among other groups.The risk of diabetic retinopathy was significantly higher in G3 group and G4 group than in G1 group(G3 groupχ2=-23.827,P =0.000;G4 group χ2=-24.576,P=0.000).It was found that the risk of diabetic retinopathy significantly increased with the increase of CysC quartile compared with G1 group(G2OR=3.619,95%CI=1.539-8.510,P=0.003;G3OR=5.524,95%CI=2.214-13.718,P=0.000;G4OR=5.661,95%CI=2.321-13.806,P=0.000).Serum highest CysC level was an important risk factor for atherosclerosis(OR=9.842,95% CI=3.324-29.145,P=0.000).
