Because of the high rates of sexual assault on college campuses, it is important to examine factors that influence perceptions of healthy relationships and consent, including social media. Because college students are heavy users of social media, it is imperative to consider how social media can influence their participation in risky behavior, including the attitudes and norms around sex and relationships. Participants Undergraduate college students were recruited to participate in a study that sought to understand how college students navigate romantic and sexual relationships. Methods Participants (N = 392) completed a survey that assessed social media use, and how they perceived healthy relationship behavior and consent. Results Results showed social media had more of an influence on perceptions of healthy relationships. However, the influence of social media on consent and healthy relationships is inconsistent across platforms; emphasizing the need for further research.

To explore the risk perceptions and COVID-19 prevention practices of dormitory residents in Indonesia.

Nineteen dormitory residents, 3 staff and 1 dormitory manager were recruited from the Saint Theresa Avila student dormitory.

This qualitative study used individual interviews and framework analysis.

Generally, the study confirms that there is a gap between risk perception and COVID-19 prevention practices among dormitory residents. There are barriers in accessing hand washing facilities and in complying with COVID-19 prevention protocols including not wearing masks, not following quarantine procedures and visiting friends' rooms.

Dormitory managers and staff should repeatedly remind residents to wear masks and maintain safe distance through sending short messages on dormitory social media groups. In addition to psychological assistance and basic supplies during self-quarantine, providing sanitizer and installing posters detailing the hand-washing steps are essential at each hand-washing faciliteps are essential at each hand-washing facility in the dormitory.The extrastriate body area (EBA) in the lateral occipito-temporal cortex has an important role in reciprocal interaction, as it detects congruence between self and other's hand actions. However, it is unclear whether the EBA can detect congruence regardless of the type of action. In the present study, we examined the neural substrate underlying congruence detection of three types of actions hand gestures, vocalizations, and facial expressions. A univariate analysis revealed a congruency effect, especially for imitating action, for all three types of actions in the EBA. A multi-voxel pattern analysis classifier in the EBA was able to distinguish between initiating interaction from responding to interaction in all experiments. Correspondingly, the congruency effect in the EBA revealed by univariate analysis was stronger for responding to than for initiating interaction. These findings suggest that the EBA might contribute to detect congruence regardless of the body part used (i.e. face or hand) and the type of action (i.e. gestural or vocal). Moreover, initiating and responding to interaction might be processed differently within the EBA. Shared autonomy has played a major role in assistive mobile robotics as it has the potential to effectively balance user satisfaction and smooth functioning of systems by adapting itself to each user's needs and preferences. Many shared control paradigms have been developed over the years. However, despite these advancements, shared control paradigms have not been widely adopted as there are several integral aspects that have not fully matured. The purpose of this paper is to discuss and review various aspects of shared control and the technologies leading up to the current advancements in shared control for assistive mobile robots.

A comprehensive review of the literature was conducted following a dichotomy of studies from the pre-2000 and the post-2000 periods to focus on both the early developments and the current state of the art in this domain.

A systematic review of 135 research papers and 7 review papers selected from the literature was conducted. To facilitate the organization of the reviewed wo studies have focussed on basic functionalities, thus paving the way for research to now focus on the higher levels of the ladder taxonomy. It was concluded that further research in the domain must focus on ensuring safety in mobility and adaptability to varying environments.Implications for rehabilitationShared autonomy in assistive mobile robots plays a vital role in effectively adapting to ensure safety while also considering the user comfort.User's immediate desires should be considered in decision making to ensure that the users are in control of the assistive robots.The current focus of research should be towards successful adaptation of the assistive mobile robots to varying environments to assure safety of the user.

College students' prescription stimulant and opioid misuse (PSM and POM) share psychosocial risks with other substance use. We sought to extend a prior study of these issues.

 79,336) reporting 12-month PSM (defined as use of a drug not prescribed to them), 30-day other illicit drug use (non-cannabis), both, or neither, were compared on other substance use, psychopathology, academic adjustment, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and chronic pain. Models were repeated for POM.

Relative to those who only misused the prescription drug, those who used other illicit drugs had lower odds of chronic pain and academic problems, but higher odds on nearly every other outcome especially if they also misused the prescription drug.

Findings suggest PSM and POM are on a continuum of risk shared with illicit drug use, but also are linked to outcomes specific to these drugs' perceived medical purposes.

Although various highly pathogenic FAdV-4 strains have been isolated, the virulence factor and the pathogenesis of novel FAdV-4 are unclear. In our previous studies, we reported that a large genomic deletion (1,966 bp) is not related to increased virulence. GSK1016790A Here, two recombinant chimeric viruses, rHN20 strain and rFB2 strain, were generated from a highly pathogenic FAdV-4 strain by replacing the hexon or fiber-2 gene of a nonpathogenic FAdV-4, respectively. Both chimeric strains showed similar titers to the wild-type strain in vitro. Notably, rFB2 and the wild-type strain induced 100% mortality, while no mortality or clinical signs appeared in chickens inoculated with rHN20, indicating that hexon, but not fiber-2, determines the novel FAdV-4 virulence. Furthermore, an R188I mutation in the hexon protein identified residue 18I mutant strain was neutralized by chicken serum in vitro and in vivo, whereas the wild-type strain was not. Further, the rR188I mutant strain provided complete protection against FAdV-4 challenge. Our results provide a molecular basis of the increased virulence of novel FAdV-4. We propose that the rR188I mutant is a potential live attenuated vaccine against HHS and a new vaccine vector for HHS-combined vaccines.Nervous necrosis virus (NNV) belongs to the Betanodavirus genus of the Nodaviridae family and is the main cause of viral nervous necrosis disease in marine fish larvae and juveniles worldwide. The NNV virion contains two positive-sense, single-stranded RNA genomes, which encode RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, coat protein, and B2 protein. Interestingly, NNV infection can shut off host translation in orange-spotted grouper (Epinephelus coioides) brain cells; however, the detailed mechanisms of this action remain unknown. In this study, we discovered that the host translation factor, polyadenylate binding protein (PABP), is a key target during NNV takeover of host translation machinery. Additionally, ectopic expression of NNV coat protein is sufficient to trigger nuclear translocalization and degradation of PABP, followed by translation shutoff. A direct interaction between NNV coat protein and PABP was demonstrated, and this binding requires the NNV coat protein N-terminal shell domain and PABP proline-rich linkuch as the use of orange-spotted grouper brain cells as an in vitro model system.The complete eradication of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) is blocked by latent reservoirs in CD4+ T cells and myeloid lineage cells. To the best of our knowledge, there is little evidence showing the "killing" effect of TLR1/2 agonists but only a small "shock" potential. To identify a new approach for eradicating the HIV latent reservoir, we evaluated the effectiveness of SMU-Z1, a novel small-molecule TLR1/2 agonist, in the "shock-and-kill" strategy. The results showed that SMU-Z1 could enhance latent HIV-1 transcription not only ex vivo in peripheral blood mononuclear cells from aviremic HIV-1-infected donors receiving combined antiretroviral therapy but also in vitro in cells of myeloid-monocytic origin targeting the NF-κB and mitogen-activated protein kinase pathways. Interestingly, the activation marker CD69 was significantly upregulated in natural killer (NK) cells, B cells, and mono, SMU-Z1 could activate innate immune cells without global T cell activation, induce production of proinflammatory and antiviral cytokines, and enhance the cytotoxic function of NK cells. Currently, the World Health Organization has granted emergency use listing (EUL) to six COVID-19 vaccine candidates. However, much of the pathogenesis observed during SARS-CoV-2 infection remains elusive. To gain insight into the contribution of individual accessory open reading frame (ORF) proteins in SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis, we used our recently described reverse-genetics system approach to successfully engineer recombinant SARS-CoV-2 (rSARS-CoV-2) constructs; we removed individual viral ORF3a, -6, -7a, -7b, and -8 proteins from them, and we characterized the resulting recombinant viruses in vitro and in vivo. Our results indicate differences in plaque morphology, with ORF-deficient (ΔORF) viruses producing smaller plaques than those of the wild type (rSARS-CoV-2/WT).
