Keyless Entry System

Keyless entry systems are a great method of securing your rental property without requiring physical keys. These systems allow guests and tenants to access the building through a code or their smartphones. They can also work with intercoms for audio and video messages, providing different ways for people to gain access to the building. professional utilize cloud-based technology which allows them to be controlled remotely. They also have more advanced features.

You can install the keyless entry system in any type of property whether it is residential or commercial. First, the hardware needs to be installed at every entryway. The system must then be configured and managed via a central console, or an app for smartphones. According to Technavio, the global keyless entry market is expected to grow by a CAGR between 2016 to 2022 of 11.8%. The market's growth is attributed to a growing need for security in commercial vehicles.

Many people fear being locked out of their home, so they keep spare keys in a safe place. This practice, however poses a significant security risk as criminals are aware of the places where keys are stored and are able to find them. Installing a keyless entry in your home is the best option to stop this. This will keep you from ever being locked out of your house again.

Transponder Chip

The transponder chip or "chip key" is an electronic micro-chip integrated into the head of your car key, it's also one of the primary safety layers of your vehicle. The word "transponder" originates from the combination of transmitter and responder and responder. This is because when the key is inserted into the ignition and turned, the antenna ring of your vehicle sends a burst of radio frequency energy to the transponder chip. The chip responds with its unique identification code to the antenna ring and the car's computer will discern that code and determine whether or not it's a valid key.

The key must be a transponder key to start the car, if it is not, then the vehicle will remain immobilized. The chip is protected by a polycarbonate coating that stops it from being copied with regular mechanical keys or copied using laser equipment. Beishir Lock and Security carries the largest selection of transponder keys for sale at a fraction of the cost of dealerships for cars.

Transponder chips started to become popular in the 80's, when GM introduced them in the Corvette. This technology dramatically reduced vehicle thefts, as hot-wiring was rendered obsolete. This is a simple explanation of the chip key's function and should you have any concerns you can contact us.

Immobiliser System

The engine immobiliser (also called the anti-theft system) is a key element of your vehicle's security. When you connect the Smart Key or ignition switch into your car, the transponder in the key transmits a number of codes. The ECU examines whether the code transmitted by the chip is the one stored in it prior to allowing the engine to start.

The immobiliser in your car is designed to stop theft in this way. If the code inside the chip doesn't match with the code, the ECU blocks the flow of current to the fuel pump relay and the injection system, which prevents the engine from getting started. The immobiliser may also disable the starter motor or ignition coil in order to stop the engine from being initiated by force.

Unfortunately, the system is not 100% secure. The code used to unlock the immobiliser of your car could be hacked by thieves and used to open it. The most recent versions of the system use more cryptographic codes that will make it more difficult to determine.

Car immobilisers are required since 1998 but many cars had rudimentary immobiliser systems fitted before that. Although immobilisers make it more difficult to steal a vehicle, it does not stop thieves from towing your car away or breaking in to steal your belongings.

Key Replacement

Losing a remote, key or fob can be costly and stressful. Locksmiths must gain entry into the vehicle, decode or run the VIN and then re-programme the new replacement to remove any signatures that have been stored on the computer for all of the keys that have been lost or stolen.

The cost of replacing a key will be more expensive if your car is equipped with a transponder and/or integrated security chip. These chips send signals to your car in order to verify that you are the driver and allow doors to be opened or the engine started. The cost of a smart key replacement is $160.

ABUS recommends that you register your key code as soon as you can after you purchase. This will allow you to order spare keys or additional keys in the future. This is done by entering your Key Code on the checkout page and selecting CANADA as your shipping country. You can also register a key based upon photographs of your spare key taken from specific angles.
