Thiocyclam hydrogen oxalate (Brand name Evisect) is an insecticide with anti-cholinergic and cholinergic properties. Although there are few case reports and a case series of human toxicity of nereistoxin analogue insecticide such as cartap hydrochloride poisoning published in the literature, poisoning with thiocyclam hydrogen oxalate (Evisect), an another analogue of nereistoxin with its own molecular formula is only heard in animals, such as Nubian goats. Bismuth subnitrate Herein, we report a patient presented with rhabdomyolysis and acute kidney injury without significant symptoms of acute cholinergic syndrome following self-ingestion of thiocyclam hydrogen oxalate (Evisect) and he made an uneventful recovery with prompt supportive care. The late type Ia endoleak after endovascular aortic repair could be a challenging issue. Over the last years, in case of short or enlarged neck, fenestrated and branched stent grafts have been increasingly employed with improving results. However, these devices have limited use in urgent/emergent cases as custom graft manufacturing takes long time, and may not be fit in patients with particular anatomic features. In this setting, chimney and relining remain an alternative but sometimes may not be adequate. According to literature, the use of the endoanchors associated to chimney technique can improve the procedure results in primary endovascular aortic repair. We treated two patients with a late type Ia endoleak after endovascular aortic repair with a simultaneous relining, single renal chimney, and endoanchors implant. These patients were valuated unfit for open repair with neck configuration unadapt for a simple relining, ballooning, or stenting. The patient conditions were unfavorable for an endovascular repair with branched endovascular aortic repair-fenestrated endovascular aortic repair. The same procedure was performed in both patients. Postoperative angio-computed tomographic scan demonstrated the resolution of the endoleak with patency of renal graft. Our preliminary experience, in these selected cases, demonstrate the feasibility of the technique in late type Ia endoleak.Melanoma is a form of skin cancer originating from melanocytes that has an increasing incidence over the past few decades. From 1992 to 2010, the overall incidence of melanoma was 12.29 cases per 100,000 person-years in Canada. Approximately 10% of cases are attributed to a hereditary component, with one of the most common being familial atypical multiple mole melanoma syndrome. In this case report, we highlight the atypical case of a middle-aged Caucasian female with familial atypical multiple mole melanoma syndrome, who has developed dozens of primary melanomas over the past decade. We highlight the management of her case, as well as the importance of monitoring by multiple other subspecialists given the propensity for the development of alternate malignancies.[This corrects the article DOI 10.1177/2050312119831116.].
Soil-transmitted helminth infections and malnutrition are major health problems of school-age children in developing countries. Malnutrition and soil-transmitted helminth infections often co-exist with synergetic consequences.
The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence and intensity of soil-transmitted helminths and its association with nutritional status of school-age children.
School-based cross-sectional study was carried out from April to May 2014 among 404 elementary school-age children in Jimma Town, Southwest Ethiopia. Data on background characteristics were collected using structured interviewer administered questionnaire. Anthropometric measurements were taken according to World Health Organization standard. Fresh single stool sample was collected from each study participant and examined using direct wet mount and McMaster techniques. Anthropometric indices were generated using WHO AnthroPlus software. Multivariable logistic regression models were fitted to isolate independent predic
infection (adjusted odds ratio = 9.4, 95% confidence interval 2.0-44.8) was identified as an independent predictor of stunting among school-age children.
Both the prevalence of soil-transmitted helminths and stunting are high among school-age children in Jimma Town. Although there was no statistically significant association between the STHs, in general,
was reported as predictor of stunting. The results imply the need for strengthening strategies for reduction of parasitic infection to curb the pervasively high prevalence of stunting.

The objective was to assess the validity and reliability of a translated Arabic language version of the pharmacy survey on patient safety culture released by the United States Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality in 2012 and to utilize this to assess staff attitudes and perceptions of the patient safety culture in hospital pharmacies of Kuwait.
This study used a cross-sectional timeframe. Data were gained from three of the largest public hospital pharmacies and three of the largest private hospital pharmacies in Kuwait. The primary and secondary outcome measures were descriptive statistics, internal consistency, construct validity, model fit, and calculation of the positive response rate for all composites and items.
The results demonstrated that 9 of the 11 composites had a Cronbach's alpha (α) of >0.7, and all composites had factor loadings above 0.6. The standardized root mean residual score appropriately fitted the data with a value of 0.072. The intercorrelations among the patient safety composites ranged from 0.29 to 0.83. The proportion of pharmacy staff who categorized the grade of patient safety as "Good," Very good," or "Excellent" was 93%.
The Arabic version of the pharmacy survey on patient safety culture questionnaire indicated suitable levels of reliability and validity. Also, the results demonstrated that the pharmacy staff surveyed in Kuwait have a positive perception of patient safety culture in their organizations.
