A high percentage of strains showed PGPB traits; namely 88% fixed nitrogen, 63% solubilized zinc, 69% solubilized phosphate and 63% produced indole compounds such as IAA. Most strains were salt tolerant that confer them a potential competitive advantage to survive in saline conditions. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study reporting an approach to assess the diversity of cultivable endophytic bacteria of H. impetiginosus tree and its plant growth promoting capacity. The knowledge about this kind of associations could contribute to environmental sustainability by developing effective biofertilizers that minimize the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.Bisexual individuals often face binegativity in relationships with intimate partners and the health disparities associated with discrimination. The present study sought to explore the little known aspect of identity-based partner acceptance of bisexual individuals. Through the eyes of the bisexual person identified by a snow-ball sampling method of bisexual persons living in the United States, 197 participants completed an open-ended question on positive experiences with partners, with 96 of them emphasizing acceptance and understanding. Findings suggest there are multiple ways bisexual individuals encounter acceptance from their partner-some more neutral expressions and some more overt. Neutral messages were twice as likely to occur compared to overt forms of acceptance. Participants reported themes of (1) didn't try to change me, (2) ambivalence, (3) proud/rooting, (4) asked me about my experiences, and (5) feeling loved. The paper concludes by discussing the implications for reducing stigma and increasing acceptance by partners. As a malignant hematopoietic stem cell disease, leukemia remains life-threatening due to its increasing incidence rate and mortality rate. Therefore, its early diagnosis and treatment play a very important role. In the present work, we systematically reviewed the current applications and future directions of positron emission tomography (PET) in patients with leukemia, especially 18F-FDG PET/CT. As a useful imaging approach, PET significantly contributes to the diagnosis and treatment of different types of leukemia, especially in the evaluation of extramedullary infiltration, monitoring of leukemia relapse, detection of Richter's transformation (RT), and assessment of the inflammatory activity associated with acute graft versus host disease. Future investigations should be focused on the potential of PET/CT in the prediction of clinical outcomes in patients with leukemia and the utility of novel radiotracers.Sexual and gender minority (SGM) youth experience risks due to their stigmatized SGM identities; however, supportive resources and people can mitigate these risks. find more In nonmetropolitan areas, SGM-affirming support may not be readily available. The internet and social media may be a way for SGM youth to access support and resources pertaining to their SGM identities, yet little research has been conducted in this area. This qualitative, exploratory study utilized in-depth interviews (N = 34) with nonmetropolitan SGM youth in one Midwestern state to better understand how they utilized the internet and social media related to their SGM identities. Grounded theory analysis revealed three categories of social media and internet usage among participants. Participants utilized the internet to establish a sense of community (access others, form relationships), express themselves (come out, vent), and access resources and information. These findings suggest important implications for practice and research. In this study, we estimate the severity of the COVID-19 outbreak in Pakistan prior to and after lockdown restrictions were eased. We also project the epidemic curve considering realistic quarantine, social distancing and possible medication scenarios. The pre-lock down value of R 0 is estimated to be 1.07 and the post lock down value is estimated to be 1.86. Using this analysis, we project the epidemic curve. We note that if no substantial efforts are made to contain the epidemic, it will peak in mid-September, 2020, with the maximum projected active cases being close to 700, 000. In a realistic, best case scenario, we project that the epidemic peaks in early to mid-July, 2020, with the maximum active cases being around 120, 000. We note that social distancing measures and medication will help flatten the curve; however, without the reintroduction of further lock down, it would be very difficult to make R 0 less then 1 .Renal interstitial cell tumor (RICT) is a rare renal sarcoma of dogs that arises from renal interstitial cells. Herein we describe a RICT in an 8-y-old female Labrador Retriever dog that died after a 2-d history of lethargy and disorientation. Grossly, soft white nodules of 1-10 mm diameter were present in the renal cortex and corticomedullary junction of both kidneys, left cardiac ventricular wall, and right cerebral hemisphere. A pale-white to yellow, firm, irregular mass effaced 80% of the right pulmonary parenchyma, involving mainly the cranial and middle lobes, and the adjacent tracheobronchial lymph nodes. Histologically, the renal, myocardial, and cerebral neoplasm consisted of interlacing bundles of stellate-to-spindle cells with eosinophilic vacuolated cytoplasm and round-to-oval nuclei with finely stippled chromatin. The mitotic count was 28 per 2.37 mm2. Alcian blue stain revealed an extracellular myxomatous matrix throughout the neoplasm. Neoplastic cells had cytoplasmic immunolabeling for vimentin and cyclooxygenase 2. The pulmonary and tracheobronchial neoplasm consisted of infiltrative nodules of cuboidal epithelial cells that had a moderate amount of eosinophilic cytoplasm and round nuclei with coarsely stippled chromatin. There were 5 mitoses per 2.37 mm2. Neoplastic cells had cytoplasmic and nuclear immunolabeling for cytokeratin AE1/AE3 and thyroid transcription factor 1, respectively. Morphologic and immunohistochemical findings were consistent with a RICT with cardiac and cerebral metastases, and a pulmonary carcinoma with tracheobronchial lymph node metastasis.Pain is a major source of global suffering, with women bearing the greatest burden. Alongside biology, psychological and social factors, including gender, help explain these differences. However, there has been no direct attempt to develop a unified social psychological model of men and women's pain. By drawing on approaches to both gender and pain, a gender context model of pain is presented. It proposes that pain is partly influenced by the gender context in which it occurs, which operates at both individual and interpersonal levels. The model is used to structure an appraisal of the existing evidence around gender and pain, and explore whether the model helps explain why such variation occurs. It is argued that despite evidence for an association between gender and pain, there are empirical gaps that need to be addressed. Implications and directions for future investigations into sex, gender and pain are considered. Background Nitrous oxide may be misused due to its euphoric, dissociative, and hallucinogenic effects. Nitrous oxide misuse has been reported to be increasing. Objective The objective of this study is to describe nitrous oxide misuse reported to two United States (US) data systems. Methods Cases were nitrous oxide misuse during 2000-2019 reported to the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS), which collects data on consumer product-related injuries treated in US emergency departments (EDs), and the Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS), which collects reports of adverse events involving drugs and other biologic products. The distribution of cases was determined for selected variables. Results Of the 26 NEISS cases, the mean annual number of cases was 0.5 (range 0-2) during 2000-2013 and 3.2 (range 1-5) during 2014-2019. The patients were 92.3% age 13-39 years and 76.9% male. The patient was treated or examined and released from the ED in 84.6% of the cases. Of the 128 FAERS cases, the mean annual number of cases was 0.4 (range 0-2) during 2000-2013 and 20.3 (range 10-34) during 2014-2019. The patients were 90.2%% age 13-39 years and 77.3% male. A serious classification was assigned to 97.7% of the cases. Conclusions Nitrous oxide misuse reported to NEISS and FAERS both increased during 2000-2019, particularly after 2013. The majority of patients were age 13-39 years and male. Most NEISS patients were treated or examined and released from the ED.There is wide research investigating negative attitudes and behaviors toward gays and lesbians within Western societies. However, only a small amount of studies have addressed attitudes toward transgender individuals, particularly in non-Western societies with younger populations. This study, therefore, aimed to examine the predictors of transphobic attitudes in north Cyprus using young adults. Participants were 148 (96 women, 51 men) Turkish speaking young adults, aged between 18 and 25 years (M = 20.29, SD = 2.38). Participants completed a questionnaire package containing measures of intergroup contact, ambivalent sexism, social dominance orientation, homophobic feelings and attitudes, and transphobia. As expected, results showed that intergroup contact, hostile sexism, and homophobia predicted transphobic attitudes. Implications to ameliorate discriminatory attitudes toward transgender individuals in non-Western cultures are discussed.

The study explores how healthcare professionals view participation of children and adolescents with juvenile idiopathic arthritis, in healthcare encounters.

This qualitative study includes focus groups of HCPs from different professions. The interviews were analysed with qualitative content analysis.

The theme "Creating an enabling arena" illuminates how HCPs face possibilities and challenges when enabling children to communicate and participate in clinical encounters. HCPs, parents, and the healthcare system need to adjust to the child. The sub-theme "Bringing different perspectives" describes how children and their parents cooperate and complement each other during healthcare encounters. The sub-theme "Building a safe and comfortable setting" includes how HCPs address the child's self-identified needs and make the child feel comfortable during encounters. The sub-theme "Facilitating methods in a limiting organisation" includes how HCPs' working methods and organization may help or hinder child particie empowered to participate, when healthcare professionals create a good relationship with the child and their parents, and strengthen the child's knowledge, confidence and autonomy.Spontaneous ilio-iliac arteriovenous fistula (AVF) associated with aneurysms affecting the abdominal aortic and iliac arteries is a rare condition. The classical clinical symptoms of ilio-iliac AVF include high-output heart failure, abdominal pain, abdominal bruits and thrills, a pulsatile abdominal mass, and venous congestion symptoms (leg edema and hematuria). The prompt repair of AVF is necessary to restore the patient's hemodynamics. We report a case in which a patient with aneurysms affecting the abdominal aortic and iliac arteries and an ilio-iliac AVF presented with high-output heart failure and leg ischemia and was successfully treated via endovascular stent graft repair.
