Medline and Scopus were searched for relevant literature using keywords. Duplicates were removed and inclusion criteria were created to screen the remaining literature. Five studies were included in this review and they were all quality appraised using the Medical Education Research Study Quality Instrument. Different hospital trusts utilised varying induction programmes. The most common method of assessing their effectiveness involved exploring preparedness in junior doctors post-induction through surveys. Patient outcome, anxiety levels and knowledge were also measured. see more Induction programmes play a vital role in preparing new foundation doctors for practice and thus improving patient outcomes. Although there may be trust-specific variation, some elements of the programme should be standardised to ensure basic requirements are met universally. New doctors should be assessed on aspects of the programme after completion to increase confidence and knowledge. The quality of future research papers could be improved through inclusion of baseline data, control groups, multi-centred studies and outcomes higher on Kirkpatrick's hierarchy.IgA vasculitis (IgAV) is the most frequent form of vasculitis in childhood which classically presents with purpura of the lower extremities, joint pain or swelling and abdominal pain. Though it is a self-limiting disease, and its prognosis is generally good, glomerulonephritis is one of the most important complications. IgAV is classified as a small vessel vasculitis, and though glomerulonephritis develops in IgAV, necrotizing arteritis is rarely seen. Here, we present a case of a 13-year-old girl with IgAV, glomerulonephritis, and necrotizing arteritis in the small renal arteries. There have been only a few reports of adult cases of IgAV with necrotizing arteritis in the kidneys, but there have been no pediatric cases. Some previous reports showed a high mortality rate and implied the possibility of overlap with other vasculitides. In the current report, a rare case of IgAV is described which exhibited necrotizing arteritis rather than overlap with another vasculitis, with a relatively typical clinical course for IgAV and laboratory tests.

Recently, it has been found that not all systemic therapy combinations with Radium-223 are necessarily safe or effective unless bone-targeted therapy is also included in the regimen. More cost-effective dosing intervals of zoledronic acid and efficacy and safety nuances of combination radiopharmaceutical and chemotherapy treatment have been better delineated.

First, the efficacy and functions of MSCs in clinical applications have been attributed to their differentiation ability, called homing and differentiation. However, it has recently been confirmed that MSCs mostly exert their therapeutic effects through soluble paracrine bioactive factors and extracellular vesicles, especially secretome. These secreted components play critical roles in modulating immune responses, improving the survival, and increasing the regeneration of damaged tissues. The secretome content of MSCs is variable under different conditions. Oxidative stress (OS) is one of these conditions that is highly important in MSC therapy and regenerative medicine. High levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) are produced during isolation, cell culture, and transplantation lead to OS, which induces cell death and apoptosis and limits the efficacy of their regeneration capability. In turn, the preconditioning of MSCs in OS conditions contributes to the secretion of several proteins, cytokines, growth factors, and exosomes, which can improve the antioxidant potential of MSCs against OS. This potential of MSC secretome has turned it into a new promising cell-free tissue regeneration strategy.This review provides a view of MSC secretome under OS conditions, focusing on different secretome contents of MSCs and thier possible therapeutic potential against cell therapy.
