Migraines are caused by neurological and vascular dysfunction, with a side or both sides of the head pain recurrent attack, often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, light, and sound allergy as the characteristics, is the clinical common disease, frequently occurring disease. The incidence of migraine is 8.4% to 28% worldwide (highest in Germany), and the lifetime incidence is about 14.0%. About 18.2% for women and 6.5% for men, About 23 percent of families have at least one migraine sufferer. It can occur at any age, and more than half of patients have headaches that interfere with work or school, while nearly a third may miss work or school because of the headache. Therefore, how to relief headache immediately and reduce the impact on life and work, becomes the basic clinical appeal of many patients. Analgesics are the main treatment for migraine in western medicine, many patients, who worried about the side effects of drugs, often take them only when the pain is unbearable, which can only treat the symptomstiveness and safety of auricular acupuncture intervention for people with migraine.

The systematic review of this study will summarize the current published evidence of auricular acupuncture for the treatment of migraine, which can further guide the promotion and application of it.

This study is a systematic review, the outcomes are based on the published evidence, so examination and agreement by the ethics committee are not required in this study. We intend to publish the study results in a journal or conference presentations.

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a degenerative disease, making a unique contribution to chronic pain, edema, and limited mobility of knee joint. selleck chemical This disease is an important factor affecting the quality of life of middle-aged and elderly people. Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies have been used clinically to treat KOA; however, the selection strategies of different CAM interventions in clinical practice are still uncertain, and the purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and acceptability of different CAM therapies using systematic review and network meta-analysis.

According to the strategy, the authors will retrieve a total of 7 electronic databases by October 2020, including PubMed, the Cochrane Library, EMbase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, China Biological Medicine, Chongqing VIP, and Wan-fang databases After a series of screening, 2 researchers will use Aggregate Data Drug Information System and Stata software to analyze the data extracted from the randomized controlled trials of CAM therapies for the KOA. Finally, the evidence grade of the results will be evaluated.

This study will provide a reliable evidence for the selection of CAM therapies for KOA.

The results of this study will provide references for evaluating the influence of different CAM therapies for KOA, and provide decision-making references for clinical research.

This study does not require ethical approval. The results will be disseminated through a peer-reviewed publication.

Extramedullary invasion of chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) usually occurs in the liver, spleen, and lymph nodes, while the pleural infiltration of CMML is rare. link2 The presence of pleural effusion is usually associated with uncontrolled leukocytosis and increased monocytes.

Here we reported a rare case of CMML-0 with pleural effusion as the first manifestation in a 44-year-old woman. The pleural effusion was caused by blasts infiltration confirmed by the flow cytometer and the pleural biopsy.

CMML with pleural invasion.

The patient was treated with azacitidine 75 mg/m d for 2 cycles, followed by daily oral intake of hydroxyurea (500 mg/d).

Pleural effusion was resolved and chest pain was relieved.

The current case indicated that leukemic infiltration into pleura could occur despite mild leukocytes, while demethylation may be an effective therapy.

Tumor-to-tumor metastasis is a rare clinical phenomenon. Although meningioma is the most common intracranial recipient of cancer metastasis, only a few cases have been reported. We present a case of metastasis of lung adenocarcinoma into intracranial meningioma and review the published literature.

A 70-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital for a 1-month history of headache and pain in her lower extremities.

Brain and lumbar vertebral magnetic resonance imaging showed an intracranial space-occupying lesion in the right occipital region and spinal canal stenosis. Pulmonary computed tomography showed an irregular mass in the right upper lobe of the lung. The postoperative histological examination demonstrated adenocarcinoma metastasis to meningioma.

The patient underwent right occipital craniotomy for tumor removal and lumbar spinal canal decompression.

There were no initial abnormal conditions after the operation. However, the patient died suddenly 7 days after surgery.

Tumor-to-meningioma metastasis is a rare but important phenomenon. link3 According to previous reports, it is associated with rapid onset of symptoms and a poor prognosis. Histological examination is of great importance in diagnosis. The history and process of malignant carcinoma should be closely monitored.

Gout and gouty arthritis typically involve peripheral and monoarticular joints, especially the first metatarsophalangeal joint and knees. Hip involvement in patients with gout is rare, and its diagnosis is very difficult, especially in the late stages of the disease. Total hip arthroplasty could be a surgical treatment for atypical gouty arthritis of the hip; however, few cases have been reported.

We reported an uncommon case of a 74-year-old man without typical symptoms of hip gout arthritis whom was misdiagnosed as having avascular necrosis of the femoral head.

Clinical examination and imaging revealed bilateral avascular necrosis of the femoral head. However, the final pathology report revealed left hip gout arthritis.

The patient underwent left total hip arthroplasty and was followed up for 3years.

The outcome was favorable. The function of the left hip was almost normal.

Our case indicated the difficulty of the diagnosis of hip gout arthritis. Due to the lower rates of hip gout arthritis and lack of typical clinical examination, it is easy to misdiagnose. Furthermore, surgical treatment for the late stage of hip gout arthritis has not previously been reported. In our case, total hip arthroplasty proved to be a good option.

The ubiquinol-cytochrome c reductase synthesis-like (BCS1L) gene is located on chromosome 2 (2q35) and encodes an ATPase that is associated with various cellular activities and is embedded in the mitochondrial inner membrane; this ATPase is presumed to facilitate the insertion of the Rieske Fe/S protein into precursors of Complex III (CIII) during the assembly of the respiratory chain. We report the first case of a compound heterozygous mutation in the BCS1L gene in China.

A 7-month-old girl presented with a 3-month history of psychomotor developmental retardation and a 1-month history of epilepsy combined with parallel psychomotor developmental deterioration. The clinical manifestations in the patient included psychomotor developmental retardation, infantile spasms, pili torti, tubulopathy, hepatic pathologies and lactic acidosis.

Combined with her clinical presentation, the patient was diagnosed with CIII deficiency and Björnstad syndrome caused by a novel mutation in the BCS1L gene after molecular bipatient with CIII deficiency and Björnstad syndrome in China and identified 1 novel mutation (C.1061_1062insCTA and P. G354delinsGY) in the BCS1L gene. This finding expands the BCS1L gene mutation profile and will be beneficial for genetic diagnosis.

Pulmonary hemorrhage is a rare but fatal complication of Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP), and more easily ignored in children than in adults due to the absence of clinically evident hemoptysis. Moreover, despite being sporadically reported, given that pulmonary hemorrhage may develop after regression and even disappearance of skin rash, the asynchronous progression of skin and lung lesions poses escalating challenges in the timely diagnosis. We herein presented a delayed diagnosis of late-onset pulmonary hemorrhage in a child with HSP after regression of purpuric rash.

A 6-year and 3-month child with a history of self-resolved purpuric rash three weeks ago, presented acutely with cough and dyspnea but without fever.

The decreased hemoglobin and diffuse ground-glass opacities of both lungs on CT scan weren't comprehensively evaluated. The child was initially misdiagnosed as pneumonia.

Antibiotic treatment was initiated. However, no improvement of respiratory status was found following aggressive combinaticularly if presenting with lack of fever, sudden drop of hemoglobin, new pulmonary infiltrates and unresponsiveness to antibiotics therapy. Bronchoscopy should be performed early to confirm the diagnosis, specifically for children. The aim of this study is to investigate the accuracy of tumor size assessment by shear wave elastography (SWE) in invasive breast cancer and also evaluated histopathologic factors influencing the accuracy.A total of 102 lesions of 102 women with breast cancers of which the size was 3 cm or smaller were included and retrospectively analyzed. Tumor size on B-mode ultrasound (US) and SWE were recorded and compared with the pathologic tumor size. If tumor size measurements compared to pathological size were within ±3 mm, they were considered as accurate. The relationship between the accuracy and histopathologic characteristics were evaluated. The mean pathologic tumor size was 16.60 ± 6.12 mm. Tumor sizes on SWE were significantly different from pathologic sizes (18.00 ± 6.71 mm, P  less then  0.001). The accuracy of SWE (69.6%) was lower than that by B-mode US (74.5%). There was more size overestimation than underestimation (23.5% vs 6.9%) using SWE. Conversely, there was more size underestimation than overestimation (18.
