Chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) refers to urticaria (wheals) or angioedema, which occur for a period of six weeks or longer without an apparent cause. The condition may impair the patient's quality of life.

Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is one of the most critical chaperones amenable to mediating the folding and maturation of more than 300 client proteins. In normal cells, Hsp90 chaperone cycle is required for regulating multiple cellular processes to maintain homeostasis. However, extremely overexpressed Hsp90 in neoplastic cells results in the dysregulation of client proteins, many of which are indispensable to the accumulation of cancer hallmarks, such as infinite proliferation and increased invasiveness. Consequently, modulation of Hsp90 activity has been considered as a potential strategy for cancer treatment.

This review recapitulated recent patents' progress in the development of Hsp90 inhibitors with potent antitumor activities during 2013 to present. Besides, the structural-activity relationships of the patented inhibitors and their structural similarity were also discussed.

Within this quality improvement project, an interprofessional debriefing program (Brigham Resilience in COVID-19-pandemic Emergency Forum-BRIEF) was developed within two emergency departments (EDs). An interprofessional group of ED providers led optional, nightly debriefings using a web-based portal to connect with ED clinicians for six weeks. In total, 81 interprofessional staff participated in nightly debriefings with a 47% attendance rate. On average, three participants attended the BRIEF nightly (range = 2-8) to discuss the challenges of social distancing, scarce resources, high acuity, clinician burnout and mental health. Participation increased as rates of COVID-19 positive patients rose. Debriefing leaders provided ED leadership with summaries of clinician experiences and suggestions for improvements. Feedback supported quality improvement initiatives within the ED and greater mental health support for staff. Clinicians and administrators provided positive feedback regarding the program's impact on clinician morale, and clinical processes that promoted the safety and quality of patient care. To clarify the characteristics of patients with elderly-onset Adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD).

Patients were classified into elderly-onset (>60 years 47 patients) and younger-onset (≤60 years 95 patients) groups according to their age at diagnosis of AOSD. Clinical features, treatments, and prognosis were compared between the elderly-onset and younger-onset groups.

In the elderly-onset group, compared with the younger-onset group, typical skin rashes were less frequent (21.3% vs 58.9%, respectively;

 < .0001), whereas pleuritis (27.7% vs 7.4%, respectively;

 = .0011) and disseminated intravascular coagulation (19.1% vs 2.1%, respectively;

Ascarosides mediate several biological processes in worms, ranging from development, to behavior. These signals are modular in their design architecture, with their building blocks derived from metabolic pathways. Behavioral responses are not only concentration dependent, but also are influenced by the current physiological state of the animal. Cellular and circuit-level analyses suggest that these signals constitute a complex communication system, employing both synergistic molecular elements and sex-specific neuronal circuits governing the response. In this review, we discuss research from multiple laboratories, including our own, that detail how these chemical signals govern several different social behaviors in C. elegans. We propose that the ascaroside repertoire represents a link between diverse metabolic and neurobiological life-history traits and governs the survival of C. elegans in its natural environment.Mental health professionals have a responsibility to ensure the best possible quality of care. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between health care professionals' perception of the quality of care, attitudes of family involvement and their own sense of coherence. A descriptive quantitative study with fifty-six health professionals, completed "Quality in Psychiatric Care-Community Outpatient Psychiatric Staff", "Families' Importance in Nursing Care-health professionals' attitudes", "The Sense of Coherence Scale-13". The health professionals perceived quality as high and did not perceive the families as a burden.It is essential that medical education should be equally representative of our society and subsequently the population that we will be serving as practicing physicians. As doctors, we have a duty of care to all members of our community. To align with these values, medical teaching should prepare future physicians to be able to treat patients from all backgrounds and ethnicities. After reflecting on medical education in the current global climate it is evident that there is unfortunately still a lack of ethnically diverse examples of clinical case presentations in medical education resources. This leads to students being ill-prepared in diagnosing certain illnesses in BAME patients which could result in a delay of treatment. It also causes BAME medical students to feel less included and acknowledged in the medical curriculum and can manifest in feelings of isolation and reduced self-worth.
