Samsung's fridge has been around for a few years now and, while it still has a lot of usefulness, the touchscreen smarts don't really stand out as an essential feature for the majority of people. They're more of a fun, semi-frivolous accessory than anything else.

This may change with the release of more software updates, but for the moment these models are the best for those who wish to have the most extensive connected refrigerator that is possible. You can save money by buying an appliance that does not include the Family Hub if you're not one of these people. That might still be worth it if you have a lot of smart home appliances that require control by the same device, or if you like the idea of refrigerators with a huge touchscreen.
