The variability in oral health professional education is likely to impact on the management of oral health needs across Europe. This scoping review forms the initial part of a larger EU-funded collaborative Erasmus+project, 'O-Health-Edu'. The aim of this scoping review is to investigate how oral health professional education in Europe is reported.

The PRISMA and Arksey & O'Malley methodological frameworks for scoping reviews were used to guide reviewers in answering the research question "How is oral health professional education reported in Europe?". The search strategy encompassed published literature searches, internet searches and further searching of relevant documents from educational organisations, regulators and professional bodies. Once the search strategy was developed, it was sent to key stakeholders for consultation. Sources were reviewed by two authors (JD, JF) and included in the review if they reported on oral health professional education in Europe.

A total of 508 sources were retriental education, there is limited knowledge on how education is implemented and delivered. There is a greater need for comprehensive educationally driven programme-level data on oral health professional education across Europe.

Our studies reveal that at cryogenic temperatures, this equilibration is governed by rare heavy-atom tunneling. In solid argon at 3 K, 1 rearranges to 2 via tunneling with a rate constant of approximately 5.3×10-5  s-1 . Thus, in a nonpolar environment, 2 is slightly more stable than 1, in agreement with calculations at the CCSD(T) level of theory. However, if the argon is doped with 1 % of H2 O or CF3 I as typical hydrogen or halogen bond donors, respectively, weak complexes of 1 and 2 are formed, and now 2 is tunneling back to form 1. Thus, by forming non-covalent complexes, 1 becomes slightly more stable than 2 and the direction of the heavy-atom tunneling is reversed.

Pheromone-mediated mating disruption, which uses large amounts of synthetic female pheromones to interrupt insect reproductive behavior, has been successful for managing important agricultural pests. While multiple mechanisms have been discovered explaining how synthetic pheromone treatments prevent males from finding females, it is less clear how unnaturally large doses of synthetic sex pheromone impact the behavior of female insects, particularly nonlepidopteran females. In some species, 'autodetecting' females possess pheromone receptors and respond to ambient pheromones by altering their mating behavior. Here, we test whether exposure to stereospecific and racemic synthetic pheromones influences calling and subsequent propensity to mate in female swede midge (Contarinia nasturtii Kieffer; Diptera Cecidomyiidae), a pest of Brassica crops.

Additional research is necessary to understand the implications of female autodetection for swede midge management.Small-molecule stabilization of protein-protein interactions (PPIs) is a promising concept in drug discovery, however the question how to identify or design chemical starting points in a "bottom-up" approach is largely unanswered. We report a novel concept for identifying initial chemical matter for PPI stabilization based on imine-forming fragments. The imine bond offers a covalent anchor for site-directed fragment targeting, whereas its transient nature enables efficient analysis of structure-activity relationships. This bond enables fragment identification and optimisation using protein crystallography. We report novel fragments that bind specifically to a lysine at the PPI interface of the p65-subunit-derived peptide of NF-κB with the adapter protein 14-3-3. Those fragments that subsequently establish contacts with the p65-derived peptide, rather than with 14-3-3, efficiently stabilize the 14-3-3/p65 complex and offer novel starting points for molecular glues.Follicular dendritic cell sarcoma (FDCS) is a rare malignant neoplasm of follicular dendritic cell origin which can present a diagnostic challenge. Due to the rarity of this neoplasm, its molecular pathogenesis has not been fully elaborated. A previous series of 13 cases reported that 38% contained mutations of genes encoding proteins involved in negative regulation of NF-κB. NF-κB is a family of transcription factors regulated through multiple cellular processes known as the canonical and noncanonical pathways. Here we present the case of a 62-year-old man who presented with abdominal pain and systemic symptoms and was found to have a mass in the porta hepatis. Fine needle aspiration cytology demonstrated a spindle cell neoplasm with vesicular chromatin and prominent nucleoli with admixed lymphocytes. Surgical resection showed an intranodal, 7.3 × 5.5 × 3.5 cm, solid mass composed of plump, spindle to histiocytoid cells with ovoid nuclei and small, prominent nucleoli arranged in a whorled and fascicular pattern. The lesional cells stained positively for CD21, CD23, and CD35 by immunohistochemistry, consistent with a diagnosis of FDCS. Next-generation sequencing revealed pathologic mutations in three genes involved in NF-κB regulation pathways NFKBIA, TNFAIP3, and TRAF3. A pathologic TP53 mutation was also identified. This case report supports prior associations of the NF-κB pathway dysregulation and FDCS. Additionally, it is the first reported FDCS case with TRAF3 mutation as well as the first reported case to suggest disruption in both the canonical and noncanonical NF-κB pathways in the same lesion.

Mythimna separata is a devastating agricultural pest that has recently developed insecticide resistance. Integument-specific cytochrome P450s were reported to participate in cuticle formation and could be potential targets for pesticide synthesis.

The transcriptome of integuments of M. separata larvae was constructed, generating a total of 38 058 unigenes with an average length of 1243 bp. These unigenes are enriched in functional categories such as lipid transport and metabolism, and secondary metabolites biosynthesis, transport and catabolism. Amongst unigenes, cytochrome P450s were identified and 66 unique P450s with complete open reading frames were named. These P450s were divided into 17 families and 32 subfamilies, containing conserved motifs such as helix C, helix I, helix K, and the heme-binding region. RNA-Seq and RT-qPCR analyses showed different expression levels of P450s in integuments of M. separata larvae. Further RT-qPCR analysis of P450s among different tissues showed that five P450s, especially CYP4G199, were specifically highly expressed in integuments. Moreover, knockdown of CYP4G199 disturbed cuticle formation, leading to imperfection in larval cuticle, and prevented pupation of M. separata.

However, the ability to return and any possible limitations after returning are unclear. Will they be able to RTW? Do they face limitations? This is a prospective cohort study with descriptive analysis aimed to investigate the RTW during 1 year following hospital discharge and to identify any limitations faced by the workers. Data collection occurred between February 2017 and July 2018 in an Internal Medicine Unit at a General Hospital. Convenience sampling was used, and participation was voluntary. Participants comprised 170 adults. Participants' RTW and limitations were followed for 1 year after discharge. During hospitalisation, 95.9% of participants planned to RTW. However, only 30% and 34.1% had returned after 1 month and 1 year respectively. Initially, 57.6% did not believe that they would present any limitation after discharge. However, 85.3% experienced restrictions after 1 month, and after 1 year this percentage rose to 88.2%. PI3K inhibitor A correlation was found between young adults and RTW. The presence of limitations increased non-RTW risk. Therefore, it is recommended that the worker role should not be merely replaced by that of a patient, but it deserves attention of the latter in order to RTW activities. The work-return process must focus on understanding, treating and monitoring workers' limitations over time.Some women with severe perinatal mental health difficulties in England are cared for by acute home treatment services, known as Crisis Resolution Teams (CRTs), which provide short-term home-based treatment for adults experiencing a mental health crisis. Intensive home treatment has been trialed in a number of countries, but it is not known how well suited it is to the needs of perinatal women. This qualitative study aimed to explore how women and practitioners experience the provision of intensive home treatment for perinatal mental health problems. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with women who had received intensive home treatment in the perinatal period (n = 15), and focus groups were held with practitioners working in CRTs or in specialist perinatal mental health services (3 groups, n = 25). Data were analysed thematically. Women commonly found intensive home treatment problematic, experiencing it as intrusive and heavily risk-focused, with poor staff continuity and little tailoring to the perinatal context. However, women valued emotional support when provided, particularly when it had a perinatal focus, sometimes based on practitioners sharing their own experiences. Some women also appreciated avoiding hospital admission, but choice was often limited. Practitioners reported a lack of perinatal training among CRT staff and described difficulties tailoring treatment to perinatal women's needs. Currently, intensive home treatment, as offered by CRTs, may not be well suited to women with perinatal mental health difficulties. Findings suggest a need to develop community crisis responses that are better tailored to the needs of this population.

The aims of the study were to (i) improve the evaluation criteria of detoxifying Jatropha curcas L. cake (JCC), (ii) isolate and characterize a JCC tolerant strain, (iii) explore its JCC detoxifying potential.

The zebrafish was employed as a survival model to screen the strains capable of detoxifying JCC. A strain identified as Mucor circinelloides SCYA25, which is highly capable of degrading all toxic components, was isolated from soil. Different solid-state fermentation parameters were optimized by response surface methodology. Under optimal fermentation conditions, the protein content of JCC was increased, while the concentrations of ether extract, crude fiber, toxins, and anti-nutritional substances were all degraded considerably (P<0·05). Scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer analysis revealed that the fermentation process could disrupt the surface structure and improve the ratio of α-helix to β-folding in the JCC protein, which may improve the digestibility when the detoxified JCC is used as a feedstuff.
