This strategy boosted sales and increased the company's global market share.
In the 1990s, Toto had shifted its emphasis on research and development for water-related household appliances. It also upgraded its distribution system to better serve the needs of customers and to increase profits. The company embraced a just-in time approach to managing its supply chain and used the same methodology for its sales process. This led to a higher level of customer satisfaction.
