Polylactide (PLA), a biopolymer, was reinforced with three fillers (two organic reinforcements and one inorganic filler). The processing technique used to fabricate the composites was the melt-blending technique. The composites and the unreinforced PLA were subjected to microhardness, compression and biodegradation characterisations. Data obtained are presented in this article as raw data. This data aims to clarify the influencing factors or affectors of the chilling processes for beef and pork carcasses in a slaughterhouse using graphical modeling (GM), which is an explorative method in multivariate data analysis. GM has been widely used for statistical causality analysis in visual and flexible modeling. GM is carried out using the following parameters outside temperature and humidity, number of carcasses in a chilling room on each operating day and during every afternoon of operation, time of sealing a chilling room, pre-set temperature in a chilling room, chilling room temperature at 1630 on the day of slaughter and dressing and at 800 on the next day, and surface and core temperatures of carcasses. These parameters are set in a three-layered structure comprising (1) cause, (2) intermediate effect, and (3) effect. Covariance selection is performed to statistically eliminate spurious correlation. Path diagrams are drawn for beef and pork in GM for visualization. An 85-year-old man had repeated right shoulder and back pain, itching, and skin festering for more than 1.5 years. A fire needle was administered combined with moist dressing once every 5 days to promote wound healing. After six rounds of fire needle treatment, granulation tissue formed over the surface of the wound base, the depth of the wound had become shallow, and the wound area was reduced. No complications occurred during the intervention. This article discusses the current situation of the anti-epidemic response of COVID-19, and suggests using a disaster management approach to better handle this pandemic situation through mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.As more nurses embrace precision science, there is a tendency to utilize theoretical frameworks from other disciplines thus, placing nursing at risk of losing its autonomy and independence. The discipline has fallen prey to internal binary opposition, eliminating opportunities to engage in civil discourse. To explore how the roles nurses select might fit together in a theoretical framework and help nurses understand how the roles they choose to support their identity as nurses, this paper introduced a model of nursing that includes the bench scientists, the policy activists, and bedside nurses, using the Neuman Systems Model (NSM). The Nurse Role Integration Model (NRIM) espouses the basic tenets of NSM prevention counteracts stressors from penetrating the client's lines of defense thus, reducing stress response. Primary prevention reflects the work of the nurse bench scientists, investigating the underlying mechanisms behind pathophysiology; secondary prevention is applied nurse scientists who build upon nurse researchers' work, identifying and testing potential interventions; tertiary prevention is nurse policy activists, the fulcrum, who leverage primary and secondary findings to argue policy change at all levels. Once policy change is adopted, bedside nurses are educated and implement the change. This lens provides an opportunity to create greater solidarity, strengthening the unity and autonomy of the discipline.

To identify self-care actions for the maintenance of arteriovenous fistula of renal patients.

An integrative review study was conducted and literature were searched in Medline/PubMed, Scopus, CINAHL, LILACS, BDENF and SciELO Library databases using the descriptors chronic renal insufficiency, arteriovenous fistula, self-care, and knowledge. The inclusion criteria were that the documents be written in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, full text available, published in the last five years, and that they address the research question. Reflection articles, theses, dissertations, editorials of non-scientific journals, and research studies that did not follow the necessary methodological rigor were excluded. link2 Data were analyzed with the IRAMUTEQ software.

Fifteen articles were selected and comprised the final sample. Seven classes of self-care actions emerged from the text segments analysis and grouped into three categories 1) Self-care actions that maintain the arteriovenous fistula; 2) Self-care actions for tions aimed at the renal patient. However, more studies with high levels of evidence that identify self-care actions with arteriovenous fistula and the factors involved in its implementation are needed.
