Existing systematic reviews have compared the effectiveness of nurse-led peri-discharge interventions comprising different components with usual care on reducing all-cause 30-day hospital readmissions. However, conflicting results were reported.

We conducted a network meta-analysis to evaluate the comparative effectiveness of different nurse-led peri-discharge interventions, compared with usual care, for reducing all-cause 30-day hospital readmissions.

Network meta-analysis.

A total of five international databases were searched for systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials. Additional searches for most updated randomized controlled trials published between 2014 to 2019 were conducted. Data from included randomized controlled trials were extracted for random-effect pairwise meta-analyses. Pooled risk ratios with 95% confidence interval were used to quantify impact of nurse-led peri-discharge interventions on all-cause 30-day hospital readmissions. Network meta-analysis was used to evaluate thealth system context. Therefore, careful consideration is required prior to implementation.

More and more high-income countries hire internationally educated nurses as part of their workforce. While the factors that push and pull internationally educated nurses to migrate and influence their workforce integration have been widely reported in the literature, little is known about internationally educated nurses' career development and whether they are satisfied with their nursing career in Canada.

This study aims to identify the main correlates of internationally educated nurses' career satisfaction.

A cross-sectional analysis of data from a pan-Canadian survey sample of 1,951 internationally educated nurses, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and registered psychiatric nurses, was conducted. Measures of career satisfaction included individual, job and career characteristics as well as organizational-related and integration process factors. In this approach, the hazard component is estimated using a state-of-the-art 3D modeling system, which allows the simulation of floating and sinking ML particles; the exposure component is defined from biodiversity estimates; and the vulnerability is related to ML ingestion rates of each species. The results show that the hot-spots for the ML risk concentrate in the coastal regions, and are mainly conditioned by the biodiversity in the region. A dedicated analysis on the marine protected areas shows that the risk therein is controlled by the proximity to ML sources and that their present-day protection levels are not effective in the case of ML pollution. Recently stabilization of rennet, especially in accelerated cheese ripening, has received considerable interest. As we know encapsulation is one of the enzyme immobilization methods, which could increase enzyme stability. In this study, the effects of alginate, chitosan and, CaCl2 on rennet encapsulation were evaluated and optimized using RSM. Under the optimal conditions alginate, chitosan, and CaCl2 were 0.04%, 0.1%, and 0.1% respectively. At the optimum point, encapsulation efficiency, particle size, and zeta potential were evaluated to be 61.8%, 323 nm, and 25 mV, respectively. The effect of temperature and pH on the enzyme activity was evaluated, and the results showed that encapsulated enzyme had higher activity at various pH and temperature in comparison with the free enzyme. Also, the enzyme release data in all pH values were fitted to Korsmeyer-Peppas model and the n exponent indicated that the release mechanism was Fickian. The electrostatic interactions between enzyme, alginate, and chitosan were confirmed by infrared spectroscopy.
