Quadrilateral space syndrome (QSS) is a peripheral nerve entrapment disease, which can be misdiagnosed in clinic. In the past, QSS was mainly diagnosed by clinical symptoms combined with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electromyography (EMG), and arterial angiography. There are few reports on the diagnosis of QSS by musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSKUS) combined with clinical symptoms.
A middle-aged female patient had posterolateral pain and numbness in her right shoulder for 2 months.
At first, she was diagnosed as suprascapular nerve entrapment, while EMG of suprascapular nerve and axillary nerve indicated that nerve conduction was normal. Then, MRI was performed, showing the shoulder had no abnormalities, and EMG and arterial angiography of upper limb showed no abnormalities too. Finally, she was diagnosed as QSS according to MSKUS and lidocaine block test.
Two sealing treatments of axillary nerve block in quadrilateral space under the guidance of MSKUS were performed.
After 2 treatments, the pain and numbness in her shoulder disappeared, and her shoulder could move normally. There was no recurrence after 3 months of follow-up.
MSKUS is an effective method to diagnose QSS. It is fast, convenient and inexpensive, and is worth popularizing in clinic.

Custom-made implant is an accepted treatment option for treatment of chest deformity in Poland syndrome. Unlike the raised concerns and awareness for the long-term consequences of breast implants, the long-term complications of customized implants for special purposes like Poland syndrome has not been reported in the literature.
A 44-year-old male with Poland syndrome presented to our institution complaining of a large bulge and fluctuation on the right chest wall. This occurred after 14 years from the initial implant surgery for correction of chest wall deformity. Upon failure of resolution by multiple aspirations, workup was carried out under suspicion of implant associated malignancy.
Total Capsulectomy and implant removal was done.
Histology revealed chronic inflammation with fibrosis. Implant-associated malignancy was not found. He is being followed up with no signs of recurrence.
For rare cases of implant insertion such as Poland syndrome, awareness of delayed complications and workups based on suspicion of implant-associated malignancy is needed. Surgeon awareness and patient education is required.

The aim of this study was to discuss the correlation between the sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim resistance of Shigella flexneri (S. PD-1/PD-L1 signaling pathway flexneri) and the antibiotic resistance genes sul1, sul2, and sul3 and SXT element.From May 2013 to October 2018, 102 isolates of S. flexneri were collected from the clinical samples in Jinan. The Kirby-Bauer (K-B) test was employed to determine the antibiotic susceptibility of the S. flexneri isolates. The antibiotic resistance rate was analyzed with the WHONET5.4 software. The isolates were subject to the PCR amplification of the sul genes (sul1, sul2, and sul3) and the SXT element. On the basis of the sequencing results, the correlation between the sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim resistance of the S. flexneri isolates and the sul genes was analyzed.The antibiotic resistance rates of the 102 S. flexneri isolates to ampicillin, streptomycin, chloramphenicol, tetracycline, and sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim were 90.2%, 90.2%, 88.2%, 88.2%, and 62.7%, respectively. link2 The antibiotic re isolates to sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim.
Poststroke depression is a common secondary mental disorder after stroke, which increases the recurrence rate and mortality rate after stroke and hinders the recovery of function. As a combination therapy, simple acupuncture combined with fluoxetine has achieved good clinical effect, but there is a lack of evidence-based medicine. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture combined with fluoxetine in the treatment of poststroke depression by meta-analysis.
Search Chinese and English databases China national knowledge infrastructure, VP information Chinese Journal Service Platform, Wanfang, the China Biomedical Database, PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, and web of science. A randomized controlled trial of simple acupuncture combined with fluoxetine in the treatment of poststroke depression will be selected. The retrieval time is of the establishment of the database in January 2021. Selected literature is extracted and deleted by 2 researchers, and the quality of the included literature is evaluated. The included literature is analyzed by Meta with RevMan5.3 software.
In this study, the efficacy and safety of acupuncture combined with fluoxetine in the treatment of post-stroke depression are evaluated by Hamilton Depression scale (HAMD) and its reduction rate, Treatment Emergency Symptom Scale, Self-rating Depression Scale, and Activities of Daily living scale.
This study will provide reliable evidence-based evidence for the clinical application of acupuncture combined with fluoxetine in the treatment of post-stroke depression.

Many clinical trials and systematic reviews have suggested that acupuncture (include moxibustion) could be effective in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). However, clinical practices vary greatly leads to different choices which are mainly based on personal experience. The aim of this Bayesian network meta-analysis is to compare the efficacy of different acupuncture methods for DPN.
Randomized controlled trials on acupuncture treatment of DPN published before January of 2021 will be searched in 9 databases including Medline, Web of Science, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Excerpta Medica Database, Sinomed, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, WanFang, and China Science and Technology Journal Database. The methodological assessment performed using the risk of bias assessment tool of Cochrane, and the level of evidence quality for the main results will be evaluated by a recommended grading, evaluation, formulation, and evaluation system approach. Bayesian network meta-analysis will be conducted using STATA V.14.0 and WinBUGS V.1.4.3.
The primary outcome involves clinical efficacy. The secondary outcomes include motor nerve conduction velocity, sensory nerve conduction velocity, Toronto clinical scoring system, Michigan neuropathy screening instrument, the modified Toronto Clinical Neuropathy Scale, the Utah early neuropathy scale, or the neuropathy disability score, and adverse reactions.

Evidence reveals that microRNA (miRNA) can predict coronary restenosis in patients suffering from coronary heart disease (CHD) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Perhaps, miRNA-21 is a promising biomarker for the diagnosis of coronary restenosis after PCI. However, the accuracy of miRNA-21 has not been systematically evaluated. Therefore, it is necessary to perform meta-analysis to certify the diagnostic values of miRNA-21 on coronary restenosis after PCI.
China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, VIP, and China Biology Medicine disc, PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science were searched for relevant studies to explore the potential diagnostic values of miRNA-21 on coronary restenosis after PCI from inception to January 2021. All data were extracted by 2 experienced researchers independently. The risk of bias about the meta-analysis was confirmed by the Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies-2. The data extracted were synthesized and heterogeneity was investigated as well. All of the above statistical analyses were carried out with Stata 16.0.

There have been no published randomized clinical trial to assess the clinical outcomes between the articular-sided and bursal-sided tears. Therefore, a comparative analysis of evaluating and comparing the functional outcomes following arthroscopic repair of bursal-sided versus articular-sided partial-thickness rotator cuff tearsis essential.
This study is a present randomized controlled trial which is conducted in our hospital. Consecutive patients with symptomatic articular-sided or bursal-sided partial-thickness rotator cuff tears underwent arthroscopic repair between June 2020 and January 2022. The institutional review board approved the study proposal (with number 10012030), and informed consent was obtained from all patients. Inclusion criteria were existence of an articular- or bursal-sided tear involving <50% of the tendon thickness-confirmed intraoperatively and treated with arthroscopic debridement with or without other decompression surgery (acromioplasty/distal clavicle resection)-and a minimum follow-up of 2 years. link3 All patients followed the same postoperative rehabilitation program. The patients were assessed at baseline preoperatively, and at 1 year and 2 years postoperatively. Outcome parameters were measured at each respective follow-up, which included active range of motion in forward flexion and abduction of the affected shoulder, pain score as measured on the Numeric Pain Rating Scale, as well as outcome scores in terms of the Constant-Murley Score, and Oxford Shoulder Score.

(Neo-)adjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer has a deleterious impact on muscle tissue resulting in reduced cardiorespiratory fitness, skeletal muscle mass and function. Physical exercise during treatment may counteract some of these negative effects. However, the effects of resistance training (RT) alone have never been explored. The present study aims to investigate if heavy-load RT during (neo-)adjuvant chemotherapy counteracts deleterious effects on skeletal muscle in women diagnosed with breast cancer. We hypothesize that (neo-)adjuvant treatment with chemotherapy will reduce muscle fiber size, impair mitochondrial function, and increase indicators of cellular stress and that RT during treatment will counteract these negative effects. We also hypothesize that RT during (neo-)adjuvant chemotherapy will increase muscle and blood levels of potential antitumor myokines and reduce treatment-related side effects on muscle strength and cardiorespiratory fitness.
Fifty women recently diagnosed with breast cancer scheduled to start (neo-)adjuvant chemotherapy will be randomized to either randomized to either intervention group or to control group.
