Furthermore, the amount of DNA in the vacuum-treated and VPI-treated PLA scaffolds increased on the first, third, and fifth days of culture, and it was confirmed that the cells introduced into the PLA scaffolds proliferated. These results suggest that vacuum and VPI treatments may be useful methods for introducing cells into porous materials.Expressive writing exercises, in which participants self-reflect upon a difficult experience, are widely researched interventions. These exercises have been adapted to address a host of concerns, including trauma, mental distress, physical health, and minority stress. Although several theories exist about the mechanisms through which expressive writing yields psychological benefits, the direct perspectives of those who have completed expressive writing exercise has remained unexplored. This study used grounded theory methods to analyze sexual minority adults' interviews about their experience of engaging in various formats of expressive writing exercises about personal heterosexist events. Participants described both what they found helpful and frustrating about the writing process and reflected on how their perspectives shifted throughout the process. These findings contribute to the literature on how change occurs in expressive writing and provide guidance on how to assist sexual minority adults in healing from heterosexism in their lives. This paper uncovers the ways Thai lesbians negotiate and construct their sense of self as "lesbian," particularly, in the process of "coming out." It incorporates concepts such as perception and communication of self, as well as their relationships with partners and their families. The analysis is based on in-depth interviews with a sample of 13 self-identified lesbians, all of whom come from a middle-class background and engage in several professions. The results indicated that they constructed their lesbian identities while attempting to negotiate around established conformist and heteronormative structures. Respondents placed considerable emphasis on "not being different" with the notions of loving companionship, faithful relationships, and daughter obligations indicated the sameness. Conventional gender roles stemming from a dominant patriarchal culture continue to bind reported aspects of female same-sex practices. Thai lesbians continue to struggle, continuing to re-construct and deconstruct their identities even within the seemingly inclusive outlook of contemporary Thailand.
To explore the experiences of adolescents with a sibling suffering from cancer from a salutogenic health promotion perspective.
Seven female siblings aged 13-17years were interviewed. The interviews were transcribed and subjected to qualitative content analysis.
The analysis findings adhered largely to one main theme
, consisting of the two domains
and
. Categories related to the cancer into life domain were

Prominent in the siblings' descriptions were the challenging changes in everyday life including difficult feelings such as loneliness, and a need for understanding. Social support appeared as a crucial salutogenic coping resource to achieve understanding, faith and hope, and identity-crucial spheres to achieve meaning in life. This study has demonstrated the significance of salutogenesis in a new setting, and the findings could be of relevance to teachers and health professionals consulting with the siblings of children with cancer. Further research should be conducted to pinpoint concrete health-promoting measures that might benefit this group.

In a recent study, we developed a scaffold from poly (1,8-octanediolco-citrate) incorporated decellularized amnion membrane (DAM-POC). The DAM-POC scaffold was biocompatible and could enhance soft and hard tissue regeneration when applied to repair the cleft palate in rat. The efficacy of the DAM-POC scaffold in oral repair had led us to hypothesize that it could be employed extensively in the medical field as a wound dressing. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility and efficacy of the DAM-POC scaffold as a film dressing in accelerating wound healing when applied in multiple tissue injuries. Our results demonstrated that both the DAM and DAM-POC scaffolds were biocompatible and anti-adhesive without causing severe foreign body reactions when covering wounds in abdominal wall, back muscle, tibia bone, and liver. In addition, the DAM-POC scaffold was superior to the DAM scaffold in reducing inflammation, preventing fibrosis, and regenerating tissues. In conclusion, the DAM-POC scaffold might potentially be adopted as a film dressing in a wide range of therapeutic applications and healing situations to protect the damaged tissues from the external environment and prevent infections. The tympanic membrane (TM), more commonly known as the eardrum, consists of a thin layer of tissue in the human ear that receives sound vibrations from outside of the body and transmits them to the auditory ossicles. The TM perforations (TMPs) are a common ontological condition, which in some cases can result in permanent hearing loss. Despite the spontaneous healing capacity of the TM to regenerate in the majority of cases of acute perforation, chronic perforations require surgical interventions. However, the disadvantages of the surgical procedure include infection, anesthetic risks, and high failure of graft patency. The tissue engineering strategy, which includes the applications of a three-dimensional (3D) scaffold, cells, and biomolecules or a combination of them for the closure of chronic perforation, has been considered as an emerging treatment. Using this approach, emerging products are currently under development to regenerate the TM structure and its properties. This research aimed to highlight the problems with the current methods of TMP treatment, and critically evaluate the tissue engineering approaches, which may overcome these drawbacks.
