The Best Shark Robot Vacuum

Shark's robo vac checks off all the boxes you would expect from a product in this price range. It has dependable cleaning capability and an easy to use mobile application. It also provides accurate home maps.

It also has Matrix Clean Navigation, a system that does two passes in a row, before moving to the side to provide complete coverage. Its base is bagless, unlike many other robot vacuums.

1. Roborock S4

This is a fantastic robot vacuum for flooring that is not in use that comes with a huge dirt container and can pick up debris. The app lets you control cleaning and docking. Its smart pathing feature is very effective. The app provides you with an overview of the cleaning process, with a map showing where the S4 was cleaned, cleaning time and battery life.

The S4's maximum suction is 2,000Pa, which is similar to full-sized vacuums. The side brush and combo brush are closer to the front of the machine than the other Roborock models. This could be to prevent clogging.

The S4's advanced mapping system can map a house up to four levels deep and remember the areas that it has already vacuumed. This makes it easy to design a cleaning schedule, without having to manually move robots around rooms. You can also mark zones that are not allowed to enter, which will block the S4 from entering these areas during a cleaning cycle.

It was able clean all floors of our home with ease, and was very efficient on floors that were not. It had a tough cleaning up dog hair. This is a typical problem with robotic vacuums. The only 8.5 percent of the hair was collected in the dustbin. The remainder was clumped around the brushes and suction inlet.

The S4 is lighter and smaller than other Shark vacuums. This improves its maneuverability. It can make tighter turning and avoid obstacles that slow down other robots. The low-profile design also allows it to be placed under furniture. It has improved climbing capabilities for navigating flooring transitions and different flooring levels. It can easily reach the bottom of the stairs and is a great choice for homes with a lot of floors. The app lets you set a timer and includes a manual control for vacuuming. It also has the ability to automatically return to its charging base to recharge between cleaning cycles. It comes with a massive 5200 mAh battery that is rated to run for 150 minutes or 2691 square feet between charges in standard mode.

2. Shark Easy Robot Self Emptying

This Shark robot vacuum is a fantastic choice for pet owners who want an efficient, user-friendly machine. The self-emptying bagless base is a fantastic benefit, particularly when compared with other vacuums that use disposable dirtbags in their bases. Simply detach the bin and then empty it over a trash can; this may be messy, but it saves you money on new bags.

The bin is also quite large, meaning that the EZ Robot can handle a huge amount of dirt. It also performs very well on floors with no carpet. However, it has a difficult time with dirt embedded in low pile carpet. It's got good navigation capabilities and a small footprint.

While the EZ Robot isn't as good as the Roborock S4, it's still an excellent option for those who are looking for a reliable, budget-friendly robot. It's well-built, offers many automation features, and has outstanding cleaning performance on bare floors and high-pile carpet. Its maintenance requirements are very high and the recurring expenses are very high.

Another excellent feature of this Shark robot is its ability to recharge and then resume where it left off when it returns to its docking station following an entire cleaning session. This is a very handy feature particularly if you own a large home.

The IQ XL is also equipped with a number of other useful features, such as the capability to remotely schedule entire-home cleaning and review reports using the SharkClean app. You can also begin, stop and resumptuate cleaning sessions with voice control via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Its row-by-row cleaning mode is a big plus and it also is able to clean your entire house in neat rows, not a back-and-forth snake pattern like many other robots.

The IQ XL has a major disadvantage that is that it can't overcome obstacles like power cords. It might consider them to be solid barriers and fail to climb over them. It's also not as fast or efficient in navigating rooms that are stuffed with pet hair, which could tangle its brushes and slow it down.

3. Shark AI Robot

This is a great robotic vacuum from Shark that offers a combination of features. It comes with a base that can hold up to 30 days of debris, and it also combines the cleaning power both of the robot mop and a vacuum cleaner. It comes with a matrix grid cleaning mode, and has advanced smart home integration that can work with Alexa and Google Assistant. You can set it up to clean on a regular basis, activate on demand, or create virtual boundaries to prevent it from entering rooms that may contain fragile items or rugs.

The Shark AI Robot does a good job cleaning bare floors. It can pick up dirt effortlessly, like rice. It has a difficult time getting rid of bulky, large particles from carpets with low pile and is not able to move around furniture with large dimensions. It is in a do not disturb mode so you can use it at home without disrupting your daily routine.

Another positive is that it makes use of LiDAR technology to map your home and allows it to recognize and navigate obstacles more precisely than units that rely solely on gyroscopes and infrared sensors. This helps it avoid hitting delicate objects, and also optimize dirt collection on different surfaces. The LiDAR system also performs faster than gyroscopes, which could cause the robot to slow down and lose control when it comes into contact with uneven surfaces.

Other features include a remote control, automatic mopping, and various vacuum modes. It can even recharge and charge while working. Its biggest flaw is that it only maps only one floor. If you have two floors it's going to need to be manually moved to those areas, and then programmed to repeat.

Another drawback is that it can be a little loud, particularly in mopping mode. It also has a lot of parts that have to be cleaned or replaced regularly which increases its recurring costs. The base self-empty function helps to reduce the cost of these items. It also works with bagless filter, which can further reduce the cost per year.

4. Shark ION Robot RV700 series

The Shark ION Robot RV700 Series ticks all the boxes you'd expect from a midrange robot vacuum, including reliable cleaning capabilities and a fantastic mobile app that creates precise home maps. It also comes with a bagless base which eliminates the need for annual dust bags to replace. In our cleaning performance test, it was able to remove 97.8% of debris from carpeting with low pile and hardwood floors although it wasn't as effective on high-pile carpeting. Its maneuverability is solid and it can maneuver around furniture, climb onto high-pile carpeting and go over things like rug tassels, electrical cords, and rug tassels without getting stuck.

Its high-tensile bristles in a helix pattern are strong enough to handle and untangle long hair strings, other fibers and the like, and its brushroll has a retractable edge that can be used when it comes across obstacles. Its slim design lets it coast underneath furniture and proximity sensors detect and adjust to the surrounding obstacles. It can be triggered to start cleaning with a press of a button or scheduled for a daily schedule through the app. Its sound levels are average however it can be slowed down with a do-not-disturb feature or a custom-designed scheduling.

The RV700 is a bit more manual than the Roborock S4 or iRobot Roomba j7+. This is to be expected from the fact that it does not self-empty. However, it still feels more durable and is easier to maintain, charges faster and removes more debris from floors that are not bare and carpets with high pile. Its navigation system can create virtual boundaries, detect and avoid obstacles and can also create virtual boundaries. This makes it the ideal choice for robotic cleaners that you can "set and forget".

robotvacuummops doesn't have a the cliff sensor, which prevents it from falling down a flight of stairs, which can be a problem for people living in homes with higher ceilings. It's also not able to mop and vacuum at the same time and requires you to switch between two modes available in the app. However it is the RV700 Series is a less expensive alternative to the more advanced Roborock and iRobot models that have self-emptying capabilities and cliff detection. The most attractive feature is that it can be empty and recharged while docked in its base, making it a good choice for those who don't want to deal with the hassle of emptying the onboard dustbin each time they use it.
