ity is achieved.In the course of this study, the dielectric and physicochemical properties of poly(2-oxazoline) (POx) networks from renewable resources were compared with those of fossil-based polyamide 12 (PA 12) networks. POx was synthesized by the energy-efficient, microwave-assisted copolymerization of 2-oxazoline monomers, which were derived from fatty acids of coconut and castor oil. For the preparation of composites, aluminum nitride nanoparticles n-AlN and microparticles μ-AlN as well as hexagonal boron nitride BN submicroparticles were used. Additionally, 0, 15, or 30 wt.% of a spiroorthoester (SOE) were added as an expanding monomer aiming to reduce the formation of shrinkage-related defects. For the crosslinking of the polymers and the SOE as well as the double ring-opening reaction of the SOE, a thermally triggered dual-cure system was developed. The fully-cured blends and composites containing SOEs exhibited lower densities than their fully-cured SOE-free analogues, which was indicative of a lower extent of shrinkage (or even volumetric expansion) during the curing reaction, which is referred to as relative expansion RE. The RE amounted to values in the range of 0.46 to 2.48 for PA 12-based samples and 1.39 to 7.50 vol.% for POx-based samples. While Chinese cities are pursuing economic development, meeting citizen demand for medical treatment has only gradually been put on the agenda. Theoretically, in the second half of a person's life, demand for medical treatment will rise sharply. Given limited medical resources, the match between demand and supply becomes more difficult. We conducted questionnaires in Shanghai to describe whether there are obvious group differences in the elderly population's medical treatment options and provide empirical evidence on the determinants.
We collected 439 Shanghai Elderly Medical Demand Characteristics Questionnaires, which included five parts personal information, health status, elderly person's medical preference and expectation, satisfaction level for hospitals services, and medical insurance. There are, however, few evidence-based data on cutaneous feline leishmaniosis and directions are strongly needed for a better management of the disease. In this study, we systematically reviewed what is currently known about the clinical dermatological presentation of FeL through analysis of the literature and, further, by adding unpublished cases managed by Italian veterinary dermatologists. Sixty-six feline cases of cutaneous leishmaniosis published in 33 articles between 1990 and 2020 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. Six unpublished cases of cutaneous FeL managed by Italian dermatologists were also reviewed. The majority of cases were reported from South America, followed by Europe and North America. Nodules were the most frequently reported clinical signs and the presence of Leishmania in lesioned skin was assessed mainly by cytology. A total of six Leishmania species have been identified as being responsible for skin lesions. Coinfections by FIV or FeLV were reported in 12.1% and 9.1% of the cases, respectively. Clinical data including treatment have been analyzed and discussed to provide directives for proper management of the disease for which cats may also serve as domestic reservoirs for human infections.The influence of heat treatment on the physico-mechanical properties, water resistance, and creep behavior of moso bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens) was determined in this study. The results revealed that the density, moisture content, and flexural properties showed negative relationships with the heat treatment temperature, while an improvement in the dimensional stability (anti-swelling efficiency and anti-water absorption efficiency) of heat-treated samples was observed during water absorption tests. Additionally, the creep master curves of the untreated and heat-treated samples were successfully constructed using the stepped isostress method (SSM) at a series of elevated stresses. Furthermore, the SSM-predicted creep compliance curves fit well with the 90-day full-scale experimental data. When the heat treatment temperature increased to 180 °C, the degradation ratio of the creep resistance (rd) significantly increased over all periods. However, the rd of the tested bamboo decreased as the heat treatment temperature increased up to 220 °C.
