Materials and an App were developed for new moms to help them identify postpartum warning-signs and appropriate action moms should take to address symptoms or seek emergent care.One of the 12 Grand Challenges facing contemporary social work is to close the health gap experienced by those in historically marginalized communities (Uehara et al., 2013). As social workers, we seek to understand the individual, interpersonal, social, and environmental factors along with the structural inequities leading to initiation and continuation of substance misuse. We are constantly contextualizing the circumstances under which substance misuse occurs, as well as contextualizing our approaches to addressing this issue from both a public health and social justice perspective. In order to adequately meet this challenge, considerably more research-based knowledge on the substance use treatment needs and preferences of America's largest ethnic/cultural group, Latinx, is needed. This brief report outlines current challenges associated with substance use research focusing on active Latinx heroin users living in a border state in a time of rapidly evolving social policy related to immigration, substance regulation, and public health.We study the response to perturbations in the thermodynamic limit of a network of coupled identical agents undergoing a stochastic evolution which, in general, describes non-equilibrium conditions. All systems are nudged towards the common centre of mass. We derive Kramers-Kronig relations and sum rules for the linear susceptibilities obtained through mean field Fokker-Planck equations and then propose corrections relevant for the macroscopic case, which incorporates in a self-consistent way the effect of the mutual interaction between the systems. Such an interaction creates a memory effect. We are able to derive conditions determining the occurrence of phase transitions specifically due to system-to-system interactions. Such phase transitions exist in the thermodynamic limit and are associated with the divergence of the linear response but are not accompanied by the divergence in the integrated autocorrelation time for a suitably defined observable. We clarify that such endogenous phase transitions are fundamentally different from other pathologies in the linear response that can be framed in the context of critical transitions. Finally, we show how our results can elucidate the properties of the Desai-Zwanzig model and of the Bonilla-Casado-Morillo model, which feature paradigmatic equilibrium and non-equilibrium phase transitions, respectively.We use synchrotron X-ray micro-tomography to investigate the displacement dynamics during three-phase-oil, water and gas-flow in a hydrophobic porous medium. We observe a distinct gas invasion pattern, where gas progresses through the pore space in the form of disconnected clusters mediated by double and multiple displacement events. Gas advances in a process we name three-phase Haines jumps, during which gas re-arranges its configuration in the pore space, retracting from some regions to enable the rapid filling of multiple pores. The use of local in situ measurements and an energy balance approach to determine fluid-fluid contact angles alongside the quantification of capillary pressures and pore occupancy indicate that the wettability order is oil-gas-water from most to least wetting. Furthermore, quantifying the evolution of Minkowski functionals implied well-connected oil and water, while the gas connectivity decreased as gas was broken up into discrete clusters during injection. We demonstrate how this viewpoint can be misleading a simple application of Gauss's law shows that the ion-ion potential for a cubic Coulomb system can have no diagonal harmonic contribution and so cannot necessarily be modelled by springs. We investigate the repercussions of this observation by examining three illustrative regimes the bare ionic, density tight-binding and density nearly-free electron models. For the bare ionic model, we demonstrate the zero elements in the force constants matrix and explain this phenomenon as a natural consequence of Poisson's law. In the density tight-binding model, we confirm that the inclusion of localized electrons stabilizes all major crystal structures at harmonic order and we construct a phase diagram of preferred structures with respect to core and valence electron radii. In the density nearly-free electron model, we verify that the inclusion of delocalized electrons, in the form of a background jellium, is enough to counterbalance the diagonal force constants matrix from the ion-ion potential in all cases and we show that a first-order perturbation to the jellium does not have a destabilizing effect. We discuss our results in connection to Wigner crystals in condensed matter, Yukawa crystals in plasma physics, as well as the elemental solids.In this work, the concept of high-frequency homogenization is extended to the case of one-dimensional periodic media with imperfect interfaces of the spring-mass type. In other words, when considering the propagation of elastic waves in such media, displacement and stress discontinuities are allowed across the borders of the periodic cell. As is customary in high-frequency homogenization, the homogenization is carried out about the periodic and antiperiodic solutions corresponding to the edges of the Brillouin zone. Asymptotic approximations are provided for both the higher branches of the dispersion diagram (second-order) and the resulting wave field (leading-order). The special case of two branches of the dispersion diagram intersecting with a non-zero slope at an edge of the Brillouin zone (occurrence of a so-called Dirac point) is also considered in detail, resulting in an approximation of the dispersion diagram (first-order) and the wave field (zeroth-order) near these points. Finally, a uniform approximation valid for both Dirac and non-Dirac points is provided. Numerical comparisons are made with the exact solutions obtained by the Bloch-Floquet approach for the particular examples of monolayered and bilayered materials. TUL Herbarium presents collections from Tula Oblast stored at the Tula State Lev Tolstoy Pedagogical University, Russia, which is an educational and scientific institution that supports various types of scientific activities, including research on biodiversity and nature conservation. The university is a holder of some biological collections, such as herbarium of vascular plants, mosses and fungi collected mainly throughout Tula Oblast and from adjacent regions.

Chiari malformation type I is highly heterogeneous; therefore, an accurate explanation of the pathogenesis of the disease is often not possible. Although some studies showed the role of genetics in CMI, the involvement of genetic variations in CMI pathogenesis has not been thoroughly elucidated. Therefore, in the current study we aim to reveal CMI-associated genomic variations in familial cases.Four CMI patients and 7 unaffected healthy members of two distinct families were analyzed. A microarray analysis of the affected and unaffected individuals from two Turkish families with CMI was conducted. Analyses of single nucleotide variations (SNVs) and copy number variations (CNVs) were performed by calculation of B allele frequency (BAF) and log R ratio (LRR) values from whole genome SNV data. Two missense variations, OLFML2A (rs7874348) and SLC4A9 (rs6860077), and a 5'UTR variation of COL4A1 (rs9521687) were significantly associated with CMI.
