5; 95% CI, 1.01-2.2), or when the analysis included only adolescents with unimpaired health at baseline (adjusted OR = 1.4; 95% CI, 1.1-1.7). The association was stronger in later birth cohorts, with an adjusted OR of 2.4 (1.4-4.1) for cases of type 2 diabetes before age 40. Of the 503 (0.1%) adolescent women with stuttering 7 (1.4%) developed type 2 diabetes, compared with 10 139 (1.1%) women without stuttering (OR = 2.03; 95% CI, 0.48-2.20).

Adolescent stuttering is associated with an increased risk for early-onset type 2 diabetes among men.

The Danish health-care system has witnessed noticeable changes in the acute hospital care organization. The reconfiguration includes closing hospitals, centralizing acute care functions and investing in new buildings and equipment.

To examine the impact on the length of stay (LOS) and the proportion of overnight stays for hospitalized acute care patients.

This nationwide interrupted time series examined trend changes in LOS and overnight stay. Admissions were stratified based on admission time (weekdays/weekends and time of day), age and the level of co-morbidity.

In 2007-2016, the global average LOS declined 2.9% per year (adjusted time ratio [CI (confidence interval) 95%] 0.971 [0.970-0.971]). The reconfiguration was overall not associated with change in trend of LOS (time ratio [CI 95%] 1.001 [1.000-1.002]). When admissions were stratified for either weekdays or weekends, the reconfiguration was associated with reduction of the underlying downward trend for weekdays (time ratio [CI 95%] 1.004 [1.003-1.005]) and increased downward trend for weekend admissions (time ratio [CI 95%] 0.996 [0.094-0.098]). Admissions at night were associated with a 0.7% trend change in LOS (time ratio [CI 95%] 0.993 [0.991-0.996]). The reconfiguration was not associated with trend changes for overnight stays.

The nationwide reconfiguration of acute hospital care was overall not associated with change in trend for the registered LOS and no change in trend for overnight stays. However, the results varied according to hospitalization time, where admissions during weekends and nights after the reconfiguration were associated with shortened LOS.

Hypohydration has been shown to alter neuromuscular function. However, the longevity of these impairments remains unclear.

To examine the effects of graded exercise-induced dehydration on neuromuscular control 24 hours after exercise-induced hypohydration.

Crossover study.

Laboratory.

A total of 23 men (age = 21 ± 2 years, height = 179.8 ± 6.4 cm, mass = 75.24 ± 7.93 kg, maximal oxygen uptake [VO2max] = 51.7 ± 5.5 mL·kg-1·min-1, body fat = 14.2% ± 4.6%).

Participants completed 3 randomized exercise trials euhydrated arrival plus fluid replacement (EUR), euhydrated arrival plus no fluid (EUD), and hypohydrated arrival plus no fluid (HYD) in hot conditions (ambient temperature = 35.2°C ± 0.6°C, relative humidity = 31.3% ± 2.5%). Each trial consisted of 180 minutes of exercise (six 30-minute cycles 8 minutes at 40% VO2max; 8 minutes, 60% VO2max; 8 minutes, 40% VO2max; 6 minutes, passive rest) followed by 60 minutes of passive recovery.

We used the Landing Error Scoring System and Balance Error Scorl was impaired at 60 minutes after prolonged exercise in the heat. Consideration of the length of recovery time between bouts of exercise in hot environments is warranted.

Whereas exercise-induced dehydration up to 5% body mass did not impair movement technique or postural control 24 hours after a prolonged bout of exercise in a hot environment, postural control was impaired at 60 minutes after prolonged exercise in the heat. Consideration of the length of recovery time between bouts of exercise in hot environments is warranted.

The high variability in the types and number of measures adopted to evaluate childcare across European countries makes it necessary to investigate country practices to identify trends in setting national priorities in the assessment of child well-being.

This paper intends to investigate country practices under the lens of variability to explore possible trends in setting national priority in the evaluation of childcare. In particular, it analyses variability considering to what extent this depends on the tendency of adopting a broad vision (i.e. selecting measures for a larger variety of aspects) or whether this is influenced by the choice of adopting an in-depth approach (i.e. using more measures to analyse a specific aspect).

An ad hoc questionnaire was administered to a national expert in each country and yielded 352 measures. To analyse variability, the breadth in the number of aspects considered was explored using a convergence index, while the depth in the distribution of measures in each aspect w address the quality of childcare under a multi-dimensional perspective.

A limited set of measures are shared across countries hampering a robust comparison of paediatric models. JG98 inhibitor The selection of measures shows that the evaluation is closely related to national priorities as resulting from the number and types of measures adopted. Moreover, a range of a reasonable number of measures can be hypothesized to address the quality of childcare under a multi-dimensional perspective.

The transition to parenthood is associated with changes to new parents' mood and sexual health. Sexual dysfunction-problems with sexual function accompanied by sexual distress (i.e., worries and concerns about one's sex life)-is linked to poorer overall health, yet few studies have examined how sexual dysfunction unfolds for couples during this transition. Postpartum depression is a risk factor for sexual dysfunction; however, the association between depressive symptoms and how postpartum sexual dysfunction evolves has not been examined.

To establish trajectories of sexual function and sexual distress for mothers and partners and to examine if postpartum depressive symptoms were associated with these trajectories.

Data were collected from 203 first-time parent couples from midpregnancy until 12-months postpartum. Sexual function and sexual distress were assessed at six time points (two prenatal) and depressive symptoms were assessed at 3-months postpartum.

Dyadic latent piece-wise growth curve models revealed significant declines in mothers' and partners' sexual function between pregnancy and 3-months postpartum and significant improvements from 3- to 12-months postpartum.
