98), 0.6° (sitting; R2 = 0.88) to 7.4° (gait; R2 = 0.39), and 1.5° (forward bend; R2 = 0.99) to 2.9° (sit-to-stand-to-sit; R2 = 0.99) for motion about the X, Y, and Z axes, respectively. The magnitude of error observed for adjacent joint motion was lowest about the Z axis for all tasks. In conclusion, the accelerometer-based LCS offers an alternative method for computing pelvis and adjacent joint angles without the reliance on a visual line-of-sight. For motion about the X and Y axes, time-series data derived with the accelerometer-based method may be less representative of discrete events, particularly for gait and lunging tasks.
The nursing assessment in the psychiatric department differ from those used in other departments considerably. We developed a psychiatric knowledge-based clinical decision support system (Psy-KBCDSS), which may aid nurses in solving patients' problems in the psychiatric department. In addition, we compared the sensitivity and specificity for the nursing diagnoses between the psychiatric nursing process system (Psy-NPS) and Psy-KBCDSS to determine that the Psy-KBCDSS can assist nurses in performing the nursing assessment and diagnosis.
Visual Studio 2019 was adopted as the primary software development tool, and C# as the main development language. The concept of the nursing process was applied to develop the Psy-KBCDSS user interface. We developed a clinical diagnostic validity inference engine to calculate the frequencies of the nursing assessment items and nursing diagnoses in clinical tasks in the Psy-NPS for generating a knowledge-based database of the Psy-KBCDSS. The sensitivity and specificity for nu specificity for various nursing diagnoses, the Psy-KBCDSS, as an empirical patient-oriented nursing clinical decision-making support system, can assist nurses in clinical nursing tasks including nursing process-based patient assessment and nursing diagnosis. Background and Objectives Automatic detection of breathing disorders plays an important role in the early signalization of respiratory diseases. Measuring methods can be based on electrocardiogram (ECG), sound, oximetry, or respiratory analysis. However, these approaches require devices placed on the human body or they are prone to disturbance by environmental influences. To solve these problems, we proposed a heart contraction mechanical trigger for unobtrusive detection of respiratory disorders from the mechanical measurement of cardiac contractions. We designed a novel method to calculate this mechanical trigger purely from measured mechanical signals without the use of ECG. Methods The approach is a built-on calculation of the so-called euclidean arc length from the signals. In comparison to previous researches, this system does not require any equipment attached to a person. This is achieved by locating the tensometers on the bed. Data from sensors are fused by the Cartan curvatures method to beat-to-beat vector input for the Convolutional neural network (CNN) classifier. TMZ chemical Results In sum, 2281 disordered and 5130 normal breathing samples was collected for analysis. The experiments with use of 10-fold cross validation show that accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity reach values of 96.37%, 92.46%, and 98.11% respectively. Conclusions By the approach for detection, the system offers a novel way for a completely unobtrusive diagnosis of breathing-related health problems. The proposed solution can effectively be deployed in all clinical or home environments.Previous literature has studied waste picking as an economic, social, and environmental phenomenon of great importance in the Global South. The legal foundations of waste picking have, however, received little scholarly attention. Surveys conducted by the global network Women in Informal Employment Globalizing and Organizing show that laws about access to waste are a central concern for many waste pickers. We study the efficiency of different property regimes for waste in the Global South. The candidate regimes are exclusionary ownership of waste by one category (private companies or the waste pickers), public ownership by the state, common or communal ownership, and res nullius ("first in time, first in right"). Any property regime that tries to exclude the waste pickers from accessing waste is associated with high transaction costs. We argue that the res nullius regime, complemented by waste pickers' organizations, regulates the waste sector efficiently in the Global South.A simple and rapid colorimetric assay for determination of mercury(II) ion (Hg2+) in aqueous solutions was developed based on aggregation of gold/silver alloy nanocomposites (Au/Ag NCs). Au/Ag NCs were aggregated after the addition of Hg2+ and the positively charged amino acid, lysine. The different aggregation degrees of Au/Ag NCs is indicated by variations in the absorption spectra and accompanied by a color change from orange yellow to yellowish green. Under the optimal conditions, the shift of absorbance ratio (A650/A447) was proportional to Hg2+ concentrations in the range of 0.01-10.0 μM. The limit of detection is 4.8 nM. The proposed colorimetric assay was extremely specific for Hg2+ and other environmentally relevant metal ions did not interfere with the determination.Lung cancer is one of the deadliest cancers in various populations. Apart from the effects that anticancer drugs such as paclitaxel (PTX) have on cancer cells, they also have many side effects on healthy cells. Interferon gamma (IFN-γ) is also one of the cytokines used in the treatment of cancer. Current research is focused on providing new drug carriers to find new therapeutic goals. After synthesis of nanogels and loading of PTX and IFN-γ, the cytotoxicity of these nanogels on A549 and HEK293 healthy cell line was measured by MTT assay and flow cytometry analysis. Finally, the expression of STAT1 gene was investigated using Real time-PCR. The results of MTT assay showed that the survival rate of healthy cells treated with PTX and IFN-γ-loaded nanogels was 2.15 and 2.39 times higher than cancer cells, respectively. The results also showed that the gene expression STAT1 in A549 cells exposed to these nanogels was higher than healthy cells (p less then 0.05). Based on flow cytometry results, the death rate of healthy cells treated with the mentioned nanogels was lower than cancer cells (p less then 0.
