ore online interaction with the membership as part of its role within the society. However, the overall response rate was low and therefore a high risk of potential bias associated with this survey. This study aimed to map and characterize public engagement with science on YouTube. A two-part study was conducted. First, we collected and quantitatively analyzed trending videos on YouTube to evaluate the magnitude of public interaction with science content. Then, we assessed actual, rather than self-reports of, media interactions with science-related YouTube trending videos. We tested associations between behavioral engagement of viewing, liking, disliking or commenting, and emotional and cognitive engagement. Our findings affirm that science content attracts high public interest and that emotional and cognitive engagement with science on social media are distinct, but interrelated. We show that regardless of the valence of emotional engagement, emotion is linked to greater behavioral engagement of posting comments and to greater cognitive engagement of argumentative deliberation. Therefore, our findings suggest that social media interactions, which tend to evoke emotional responses, are a promising means of advancing person-to-person engagement with science.

To assess the effects of deviations in the nose and chin prominence on facial attractiveness.

In this study, a reference digital photograph was taken from the facial profile view of an adult female model. Some changes were made in the nose and chin prominence in Photoshop software using the Crumley's analysis. Changes made in the nose prominence yielded a prominent nose (211 ratio), a normal nose (353 ratio) and a small nose (461 ratio). Changes made in the chin prominence were protrusion by +2 and 0 mm and retrusion by -2, -4 and -6 mm (distance from the pogonion to the vertical reference line). In total, 18 orthodontists, 18 oral and maxillofacial surgeons, 18 art students and 18 laypeople evaluated the photographs (n = 15) and expressed their opinion regarding the facial profile attractiveness using a visual analogue scale (0-100). Data were analysed using SPSS version 18.

A significant difference was noted in the ratings of photographs (Greenhouse-Geisser,

< 0.001). Orthodontists gave a significantly higher score than laypeople to photographs with a small nose and deviations of the chin prominence (

= 0.015). Art students gave a significantly higher score than laypeople to photographs with a prominent chin and deviations in the nose prominence (

= 0.012).

Facial profile with a normal (353 ratio) or small (461 ratio) nose and chin protrusion/retrusion by 2 mm (pogonion-vertical line) is considered attractive.

Central histamine H3 receptors are a family of presynaptic auto and heteroreceptors. Blockade of the presynaptic H3 receptors activates the downstream pathway(s) involved in the processes of learning and memory, making it a potential therapeutic option for ameliorating cognitive dysfunction. Samelisant (SUVN-G3031) is a potent and selective inverse agonist at the H3 receptors.

The aim of this research is to study the effects of Samelisant in diverse animal models of cognitive functions.

The effects of Samelisant on cognitive functions were studied using social recognition, object recognition and Morris water maze tasks. Neurochemical and electrophysiological effects of Samelisant were monitored using microdialysis and electroencephalography techniques.

Samelisant showed procognitive effects in diverse animal models of cognition at doses ranging from 0.3 to 3 mg/kg, per os (

.) (social recognition and object recognition task). Samelisant significantly increased the brain acetylcholine levels in the cortex at doses of 10 and 20 mg/kg,

. In the Morris water maze task, combined administration of suboptimal doses of Samelisant and donepezil resulted in procognitive effects significantly larger than the either treatment. Similarly, Samelisant significantly potentiated the effects of donepezil on pharmacodynamic biomarkers of cognition i.e. acetylcholine levels in brain and neuronal theta oscillations.

Samelisant may have potential utility in the treatment of cognitive deficits associated with hypocholinergic state.

The authors aimed to identify the tests used to assess the olfactory function in PD patients and examine these tests' ability to distinguish them from other neurological disorders.Areas covered Cross-sectional studies published until May 2020 comparing the olfactory function of PD patients to other neurological disorders were searched on PubMed, PsycInfo, Cinahl, and Web of Science databases using search terms related to PD, olfactory function, and assessment. SUMO inhibitor Five thousand three hundred and four studies were screened, and 35 were included in the systematic review. Six smell tests that evaluated a total of 1,544 PD patients were identified. Data of 1,144 patients included in the meta-analyses revealed worse smell performance than individuals with other neurological disorders, such as progressive supranuclear palsy and essential tremor, but not with idiopathic rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder.Expert opinion The University of Pennsylvania Smell Identification Test was the most used test to assess the olfactory function of PD. Smell loss was worse in PD than in some neurological disorders. The smell tests' ability in differentiating PD from other neurological disorders still deserves more attention in future studies. Occupational therapy can help those receiving hospice care live with dignity before death. Data retrieved from the National Home and Hospice Care Survey were analyzed using independent t-tests, Wilcoxon rank-sum tests, Chi-square tests and logistic regressions. Only 10.6% of the participants received occupational therapy. Patients who received occupational therapy were significantly older and had shorter lengths of hospice care service compared to their counterparts. Over 85% of the patients needed assistance with at least one task of activity of daily living (ADL). Findings suggested a need to increase occupational therapy workforce in hospice care and advocate the value of occupational therapy services in hospice settings.
