Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain pushchair with lightweight durability and excellent maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold makes it's lightweight and also freestanding when folded. The padded seat reclines into a nearly flat position, and there's a large storage bin and canopy. Baby suitability: Yes it comes with a carrycot (not suitable for overnight sleeping).

A well-constructed suspension and air-filled tires will help you to handle rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging, although you should wait until your baby is six or nine months old to do this.

Ickle Bubba XL Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent choice for parents who want an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. It is an entire travel system that includes a lie-flat carrycot suitable for infants, a movable forward and rear facing pushchair, and a choice of a car seat, meaning you can have everything you need in one package.

The XL Air is a really impressive buggy and it's easy to see why it's received such high praise from its customers. It is extremely light The chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg. 3 wheel buggy is also very easy to assemble. In fact I was able to put it up and running in just five minutes, which is pretty impressive considering it included attaching the fabric for the carrycot!

It has a comfortable wide seat that is comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months old) and the recline lever is easy to use. There's plenty of room in the basket and I am awestruck by the fact that it has an open-top pocket on the handle bar so you can keep your phone and keys safe!

The only downside is that the handlebar is low, which can be a problem for taller parents. However, it's coated with a luxurious leather-like material that's soft and comfy and wipes down easily, making it still easy to push with bags and children on your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for athletic parents who are eager to get outside and explore. The large pneumatic wheels can be used on forest and field paths. The front wheel can be locked and can be rotated for added flexibility. The stroller also features five-point safety harnesses with an adjustable front bar that will keep your child safe on all journeys. The parking brake will keep the stroller on its feet while you rest. The comfortable seat is simple to lower to a lying position, and the canopy opens up with netting to ensure maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm, to fit the needs of dad or mum.

Whether you're going for short jogs or a long hike, the Runner is ready to join you on your journeys with a reclining, fully-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee smooth, safe ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide more stability on narrow streets or crowded sidewalks. The stroller can also fold in order to fit into car boot spaces or storage spaces.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Also the locking system (requiring two buttons either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. The handlebars are higher than the ones of other competitors, so they might not be suitable for taller parents. However, this stroller is sturdy and adaptable, and is worth considering for families with active children.

Red Kite Push Me Pace

The Pace is a great option from Red Kite, an affordable British brand which prides itself on making simple and well-designed essentials for parenting. It's their newest and most expensive addition to their stroller line that is a bargain and lightweight. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo, it is car seat compatible so you can use it from the time of birth.

The new Pace has some fantastic design features such as a rose-gold shade on the chassis, hood and stroller trims, which really make it stand out. The grey, tan and cream fabrics on the stroller and the car seat are super fashionable and there's the option of adding an coordinating handle for the cover and bumper bar, too.

The stroller seat is used from birth to 22kg. It easily converts into a 2-in-1 reversible position, either parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat comes with multiple lie-back positions, comfortable padded leg rests, and an extended sun canopy with hidden zip sections, a viewing see-through flap, and a retractable visor.

What's more, when it's folded it's Pace is 56 32 x 43 cm which is enough to qualify as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among other carriers. Two buttons on either side are easy to utilize and press to lock it in place.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis features shorter wheel length which makes it easier to maneuver than its predecessor. I tested it alongside my two kids - a toddler and an eight-week-old - on the rocky roads along woodland paths, grassy trails and even cobblestones.

The puncture-proof wheels are huge - 22cm and 30cm - so they can cope with lots of different terrains. They also have an easy flap that opens or closes to let more air to circulate when you require it this is a nice feature. It is a little bigger than most pushchairs, but it isn't heavy or bulky when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric can be machine washed and the faux leather grips and frame are easy to clean. It is also quieter than other pushchairs and I was comfortable with it on busy city streets. A bonus feature is that it has integrated accessory points, meaning you can add footmuffs parasols, changing bags and even a tray for snacks. You can also use the hood to block out rain and wind, but it's not waterproof. It's a single pram, but you can add their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child more leg room. It took about 20 minutes to put together the bassinet, and a similar amount of time to transform it into the seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

Whether you're enjoying a morning jog under the stars or a moonlit stroll in the crisp air, the UPPAbaby Ridge turns every moment into a shared experience. This all-terrain jogging stroller is designed for maximum performance to keep your child and you both active.

The massive 12" and 16" foam-filled tires give you an effortless ride, no matter the terrain. The handbrake with a performance disc allows you to stop quickly even while running on the downhill slope.

From bustling market stalls to street musicians playing a tune The Ridge is able to navigate your city's most popular scenes with ease. Its large basket is big enough to hold your shopping cart and everything else your baby needs and the spacious canopy provides sun and wind protection. The large front canopy opens to reveal two mesh windows that allow you to keep an eye on your child's surroundings.

The Ridge's reversible seating allows you to choose whether your child faces you or the world ahead and its easy foot brake system is intuitive for new parents. A fantastic feature is the reversible handlebar which allows you to adjust it to your height and preferences. The Ridge's fold, in contrast to many jogging strollers is reliable and self-standing when folded.

iCandy Core

The new pushchair from iCandy is truly groundbreaking and has a lot of features that are really sure to amaze parents. It comes with a multi-mode wheelbase and LED Visibility Hub light that is an industry first. It has a built-in Ride-on Board which helps save on future costs, and lets tired toddlers join the family on outings.

The Core can be purchased as a stand-alone unit or as a complete travel system and it is compatible with the most popular car seats from brands such as Cybex, Maxi Cosi and Joie. It also has the largest seat in the iCandy range, which means it will last your baby's early years and beyond. Like all iCandy pushchairs it is beautifully constructed and comes with premium knitted jersey fabrics. The handlebar that parents can adjust and the child's removable bumper bar are made from soft leatherette. The folding calf support folds away and is super comfortable for children.

It was impressive how easily it folded and collapsed, even with the seat unit still attached. It is also easy to fit into your hallway and boot which makes it ideal for travel. The iCandy Core comes with lots of extra accessories, such as an rucksack that matches the colour of your choice and a liner/footmuff.
