The GP's participation in the MCM led to a change in management in five cases, with four times treatment intensifications and once de-intensification. Medical, social, family-related, and psychological domains were discussed with input from the GPs. Overall, all participants were satisfied with the MCMs.
Remote participation of GPs in MCMs is feasible and may result in adapting oncological and haematological management for patients. This patient-centred approach requires a specific organisation that, when implemented, satisfies the needs of all participants.

to identify and describe trajectories of change in general psychopathology (
) levels among depressed adolescents who received one of three types of short-term therapies (namely Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Short-Term Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and a Brief Psychosocial Intervention).
Participants were 465 adolescents with MDD who participated in an RCT comparing three treatments for depression. this website Narrow-band measures of depression, anxiety, obsessions-compulsions, and conduct problems were assessed at six-time points, and bifactor analysis was performed to extract
factor scores. These scores were submitted to Latent Class Growth Analyses to identify patterns of change over time.
Three different trajectories of change in
were identified. Two trajectories displayed reductions in
across time-points one a rapid decrease, and the other slower but steady improvement. The third trajectory indicated a limited decrease in
up until the 12th week after baseline but no further improvement at subsequent time-points. Patients' baseline
significantly predicted their outcome trajectories.
Exploring change in
seemed to describe more parsimoniously the patients' outcomes than the narrow-band assessment of depressive symptoms. Patients with high baseline
were more likely to have poorer outcomes, potentially indicating a need to develop more intensive and tailored treatments for this population.

The role of the Harderian gland (HG), choanal cleft (CC) and turbinate in terms of IBV M41 viral load compared to the trachea, and immune (innate, cellular and mucosal) responses were studied in 21-day-old commercial broiler chickens.2. After virulent IBV M41 challenge, the antigen concentration detected either by quantitative RT-PCR or immunohistochemistry peaked at 2-3 days post challenge (dpc) in all tissues. Significant increases of lachrymal IBV-specific IgA and IgY levels were found at 4-5 dpc.3. Gene transcription showed a significant up-regulation of TLR3, MDA5, IL-6, IFN-α and IFN-β, where patterns and magnitude fold-change of mRNA transcription were dependent on the gene and tissue type.4. The results demonstrated active IBV M41 replication in the HG, CC and turbinate, comparable to levels of replication found in the trachea. Data on immune-related genes in head-associated tissues provide further understanding on the immunobiology of IBV and offer opportunities to identify their use as quantitative biomarkers in pathogenicity and vaccination-challenge studies. In this paper, the asymmetric-Schiff base 2-(4-(2-hydroxybenzylideneamino)benzylideneamino)benzoic acid (SB-2) was newly synthesized and characterized by various spectroscopic methods. The interaction of SB-2 with calf thymus DNA was investigated by UV-vis, fluorescence spectroscopy and molecular docking methods. It was determined that SB-2 effectively binds to DNA via the intercalation mode. DNA electrophoretic mobility experiments displayed that topoisomerase IIα could not cleave pBR322 plasmid DNA in the presence of SB-2, confirming that the Schiff base acts as a topo II suppressor. In the molecular docking studies, SB-2 was found to show an affinity for both the DNA-topoisomerase IIα complex and the DNA. In vitro antiproliferative activity of SB-2 was screened against HT-29 (colorectal) and HeLa (cervical) human tumor cell lines by MTT assay. SB-2 diminished the cell viability in a concentration- and incubation time-dependent manner. The ability of SB-2 to measure DNA damage in tumor cells was evaluated with cytokinesis-block micronucleus assay after incubation 24 h and 48 h. Light and scanning electron microscopy experiments of tumor cells demonstrated an incubation time-dependent increase in the proportion of apoptotic cells (nuclear condensation and apoptotic bodies) suggesting that autophagy and apoptosis play a role in the death of cells. Based on the obtained results, it may be considered that SB-2 is a candidate for DNA-targeting antitumor drug.Communicated by Ramaswamy H. Sarma.Purpose Posterior capsule opacification (PCO) is a common complication after cataract surgery, which can lead to secondary loss of vision. Curcumin has been reported to play a suppressive role in PCO progression, and the potential molecular mechanism was explored in this study. Methods Cell viability and proliferation were analyzed by 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay and 5-Ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine (EdU) assay. Transwell assay and wound healing assay were performed to assess cell invasion and migration abilities. Western blot assay and reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) were conducted to measure the expression of proteins and RNAs. Dual-luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assay were conducted to confirm the interaction between microRNA-377-3p (miR-377-3p) and KCNQ1 opposite strand/antisense transcript 1 (KCNQ1OT1) or collagen type I alpha 2 chain (COL1A2). Results Curcumin dose-dependently alleviated transforming growth factor-β2 (TGF-β2)-induced proliferation, migration, and invasion in SRA01/04 cells. KCNQ1OT1 was up-regulated in PCO patients and TGF-β2-induced SRA01/04 cells. Curcumin-induced protective effects in TGF-β2-induced SRA01/04 cells were largely overturned by KCNQ1OT1 overexpression. KCNQ1OT1 directly interacted with miR-377-3p and negatively regulated its expression. miR-377-3p silencing overturned Curcumin-mediated protective effects in SRA01/04 cells upon TGF-β2 treatment. miR-377-3p directly interacted with the 3' untranslated region (3'UTR) of COL1A2. COL1A2 overexpression largely counteracted KCNQ1OT1 silencing-induced effects in TGF-β2-stimulated SRA01/04 cells. KCNQ1OT1 could up-regulate COL1A2 expression by sponging miR-377-3p in SRA01/04 cells. Conclusion In conclusion, Curcumin suppressed TGF-β2-induced malignant changes in lens epithelial cells by targeting KCNQ1OT1/miR-377-3p/COL1A2 axis.Aim To evaluate a low carbohydrate/healthy fat/ketogenic diet (LCHF/KD) on symptoms, depression, anxiety and biomarkers in adults with Parkinson's disease (PD). Patients & methods 16 adults ages 36-80 with PD participated in the intervention for 12 weeks. The study provided pre-post-study comparisons of biomarkers, weight, waist measurement, united Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS), Parkinson's Anxiety Scale (PAS) and Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale Revised-20 (CESD-R-20) Depression Scale. Results Although LCHF/KD improves blood glucose in diabetes and seizure control in epilepsy, research gaps exist in this dietary intervention in PD. Statistically, significant improvements occurred in several measurements, PAS scores and Part I of the UPDRS. Conclusion The LCHF/KD shows positive trends with improvements in biomarkers and anxiety symptoms. Further research is needed to evaluate dietary interventions for PD.
To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of using off-the-shelf "Octopus" technique to treat ruptured or symptomatic thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm (TAAA) and pararenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (PRAAA).
All cases who underwent "Octopus" technique from May 2016 to May 2019 at our center were retrospectively analyzed. A total of 10 cases (8 males) were included. The mean age was 54.5±14.2 years (range 31-80 years). Eight cases presented as aneurysm rupture or impending rupture accepted emergency repair. Technical success, defined by placement of all endografts as planned, was achieved in all cases. A total of 30 target visceral branches were successfully cannulated, 9 celiac arteries were covered intentionally. Intraoperative endoleak was observed in 6 patients, all of them were gutter leak. During hospital stay, there was no death, no side branch occlusion or spinal cord ischemia. Median follow-up was 30 months (range 12-50 months). One patient died of lung cancer at 14-month follow-up. There was no secnd safe for high surgical risk patients in the absence of fenestrated and branched devices. The long-term clinical outcomes needed to be investigated.
Contradictory studies reporting vast heterogeneity in the teicoplanin-induced thrombocytopenia (TIT) incidence exist.
To identify the incidence of TIT associated with teicoplanin dosing range (6-12 mg/kg/dose) and the risk factors of TIT.
This retrospective observational study included adult patients who received teicoplanin for ≥3 consecutive days over a period of 3.5 years. Thrombocytopenia was defined as a platelet count of <100 × 10
/µL coupled with at least a 25% drop from the baseline count. The TIT incidence was assessed using the adverse drug reaction probability scale (Naranjo scale).
Data from 482 patients who received teicoplanin and met the predefined inclusion criteria were included in the analyses. The cohort presented a mean age of 53.5 ± 19 years, where 72.4% were male, and 49.2% exhibited normal baseline renal function. Teicoplanin was most commonly used for bacteremia (n = 134), and the most common isolated pathogen being
(n = 221). The TIT incidence was 4.6% (the possible and probable category using the Naranjo scale; 22/482). The median time to first platelet count dropped to <100 × 10
/µL after teicoplanin initiation was 5 (interquartile range [IQR], 3-10) days and 8 (IQR, 5-14) days till the maximum platelet count dropped. None of the tested patient variables were found to be independently associated with an increased risk of thrombocytopenia.
The overall TIT incidence was low across our study cohort, including critically ill patients. Our study results may aid in the optimal monitoring of such serious teicoplanin-induced adverse effects.
