However, to inform which interventions are needed at a more detailed level, other data collection methods have to be added.Podcasts and other asynchronous remote learning pedagogies have become increasingly utilized in undergraduate and graduate medical education. These Twelve Tips hope to empower educators to utilize resources across the world to offer the highest quality opportunities for learners of all levels.Purpose The aim was to investigate the systemic levels of cytokines and the expression of the chemokine receptor CXCR2 in circulating neutrophils in patients with non-neoplastic ovarian lesions, benign neoplasia or malignant neoplasia.Materials and methods Controls and patients with ovarian tumours were pre-operatively compared for the production of cytokines (IL-2, IL-5, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10 and TNF-α) by ELISA, and for the expression of the chemokine receptor, CXCR2, in neutrophils, by flow cytometry. Randomly selected patients within the malignant group were re-evaluated for the inflammatory parameters at 30 days after surgery.Results The serum concentrations of IL-6, IL-8 and IL-10 were significantly higher in the benign and malignant neoplasia than in the control group, and their levels were significantly higher in ovarian cancer patients than in patients with non-neoplastic tumours or benign neoplasia. Treatment reduced IL-8 serum levels but did not affect CXCR2 expression in neutrophils. Cut-off values for IL-6, IL-8, and IL-10 comparing malignant vs. benign neoplasia were 11.3, 71.7, 14.8, and comparing malignant neoplasm vs. non-neoplastic lesions were 7.2, 43.5, 12.3, respectively.Conclusions Serum IL-6, IL-8, and IL-10 levels, and expression of CXCR2 in circulating neutrophils seem promising for distinguishing ovarian cancer patients from patients with benign tumours.Objectives Amphotericin-B (d-AmB) has a broader anti-fungal spectrum and is used for neonatal invasive-fungal-infections especially invasive-candidiasis (IC). Using phenomenography, the perceptions of individuals involved in the activities of macro, meso, and micro levels of the research system were investigated and 13 affecting factors were identified. The DEMATEL method revealed complicated and intertwined relationships among these factors based on the experts' judgment. Most of the macro and meso factors were in the cause group and most of the micro factors were in the effect group. The study indicated that track the relationship among factors in the research system can provide the opportunity to explain research misconduct on a transitional path from macro to micro level.The early diagnosis of cancer at any location of the human body can help in enhancing the survival rate and in reducing the cost of the treatment. Among the several techniques, the conventional infra-red (IR) thermography suffers from several limitations, including higher patient discomfort and longer time for tumour detection based on the temperature difference between tumour and adjacent healthy tissues. Hence, in this work, a novel non-invasive hot stress dynamic IR thermography system is proposed to detect surface tumour without severe discomfort to the patient. The system is designed to detect the surface tumour under 3 min within a temperature range of 42 and 37 °C. A two-dimensional numerical model based on the bio-heat transfer of tissue consists of cancerous and healthy cells is developed and validated to analysis the thermal contrast arises due to the presence of cancerous and healthy cells while cooling naturally. A light source is introduced with appropriate intensity to achieve a suitable temperature contrast. Moreover, the effects of natural convective heat loss from the tissue to the ambient and the scanning speed of IR Thermography on the tissue are investigated. A temperature difference of about 1.5 °C is found after cooling of tissues for 140 s, which can be detected using a thermographic camera. Finally, a sensitivity study is conducted to access the importance of the individual parameter over the final temperature field. The results predict the blood perfusion rate as the most significant parameter that significantly influences the temperature distribution in the considered domain.
