The CD4 and CD8 responses of the QFT-Gold plus (QFT-Plus) may have better positive consistency, but this needs to be investigated. We enrolled dialysis patients with baseline positive QFT-GIT0 results and conducted two rounds of follow-up paired QFT-GIT1&2 and QFT-Plus1&2 tests at an interval of 6 months. The positive consistency, concordance, and discordance of the QFT results were analyzed. A total of 236 patients on dialysis were screened, and 73 participants with positive QFT-GIT0 results were enrolled. The baseline QFT-GIT0 response was higher in the 1st QFT-Plus1(+) group than in the QFT-Plus1(-) group, but insignificantly different between the 1st QFT-GIT1(+) and QFT-GIT1(-) groups. The two assays had good correlation when concurrently tested. Fifty-three subjects completed a second round of the QFT-GIT2 and QFT-Plus2. Lipoprotein subparticles, lipoprotein-insulin resistance (LP-IR), and GlycA were measured using NMR spectroscopy (n = 8385), while acylcarnitines and amino acids were measured using flow-injection, tandem mass spectrometry (n = 3592). Multivariable Cox proportional hazards models determined association of poor MH and plasma biomarkers with time-to-all-cause mortality or incident myocardial infarction. Low-density lipoprotein particle size and high-density lipoprotein, small and medium particle size (HMSP), GlycA, LP-IR, short-chain dicarboxylacylcarnitines (SCDA), and branched-chain amino acid plasma biomarkers were independently associated with CVD events after adjustment for traditionally defined MH in the overall cohort (p = 3.3 × 10-4-3.6 × 10-123), as well as within most of the individual BMI categories (p = 8.1 × 10-3-1.4 × 10-49). The orange maize hybrids used for the study were obtained from the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) diverse lines with high provitamin A (PVA) content. The results showed that harvesting time and roasting methods significantly (P ≤ 0.001) affected the colour properties. The positive values of ∆b* 30.7, 36.0 and 38.1 at 20 days after pollination (DAP), 27DAP and 34DAP, respectively showed that the intensity of orange colour increased with delay in harvesting time. In unprocessed freshly harvested orange hybrid maize; lutein, zeaxanthin, β-cryptoxanthin, tannin and vitamin C increased with an increase in harvesting time.
