Easy to install

The first step is taking off the cover that was originally installed. This needs to be removed before the new cover can be put in place.





Once you have removed the old cover, use an flat-head screwdriver to take out the four main attachment clips on the side that is on the passenger side of the fob assembly. These are marked with red on the photo below. Also note the tabs that locate slots in yellow that need to be disconnected also.

After removing the battery replace it with a new # CR2032 3 Volt coin cell battery. The "+" side of the battery should face the fob's opening, and the "side that is "-" side should face the buttons made of rubber.

Attach the cover for the passenger side mirror by aligning the locating tabs. After you've done this, put the driver-side fob back into the vehicle and test it. Press the push button at the front of the key. If everything is working correctly, the parking lights should be activated and the doors will lock.

Easy to remove

The BCM can scan the transponder on the key fob, to verify that it's a valid key.
