This supports the importance of considering contextual factors when examining gaming use and its links with other constructs.OBJECTIVES Ultra-high frequency ultrasound (UHFUS) is a recently developed diagnostic technique involving the use of ultrasound frequencies up to 70 MHz, allowing to obtain 30 µm resolution of targets located within 1 cm from the surface. Oral mucosa can be affected by diverse pathological conditions, which are currently investigated by means of clinical examination. In this scenario, intraoral UHFUS can provide additional information and support clinical assessment of oral mucosa. In this preliminary study, typical features of normal oral mucosa are described, in order to set a benchmark for the future identification of oral soft tissue alterations. KRIBB11 METHODS Twenty healthy subjects (10 males and 10 females, mean age 30 years) were enrolled and underwent intraoral UHFUS examination. In all the subjects, tongue, buccal mucosa, gingiva, lip mucosa, and palate were scanned, and images acquired. Intraoral UHFUS scan included Brightness-mode and Doppler mode acquisitions performed with a standardized protocol. UHFUS images were postprocessed and analyzed using a dedicated software. UHFUS-based biomarkers (epithelial thickness, echogenicity, and vascularization) were employed for image description. RESULTS Normal oral anatomy of the different sites analyzed was described. For all the sites, UHFUS biomarkers were characterized, and information on typical aspect of oral mucosa were retrieved. CONCLUSIONS In this explorative study, we suggest a potential role for intraoral UHFUS in the study of oral mucosa, giving insights into the possibility to improve the assessment, diagnosis, and management of the conditions involving oral mucosa. UHFUS seems a promising tool, which could potentially support clinical examination in daily oral medicine practice.PARP inhibitors (PARPIs) have revolutionized the treatment of epithelial ovarian cancer, first for BRCA-associated cancer, and, recently, for all epithelial cancers of serous or high-grade endometrioid subtypes in the front line. Although there is hope that PARPIs will help prevent recurrences when used following frontline maintenance, cancer will still recur in most women, and the need for active combination strategies as well as continued development of novel assets, either as monotherapy or in combination, will be urgently needed. This review article discusses the current indications for PARPIs in both frontline and recurrent settings, current research in combination approaches, and finally, ongoing research on novel methods to target DNA damage response in an effort to exploit the common susceptibility to DNA damage repair in epithelial ovarian cancer and improve outcomes for patients.Objective To prevent postoperative relapse after HOLRBT, we compared postoperative adjuvant therapies. Methods One hundred fifty patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) were meanly divided into three groups A, B, and C. Group A patients only took sunitinib, group B patients underwent TGC perfusion chemotherapy, and group C patients took sunitinib and underwent TGC chemotherapy. Results It was discovered that TGC perfusion chemotherapy combined with taking sunitinib can significantly reduce the relapse rate. Most of the tumor relapse period was assembled at 9 months after the operation. No-tumor relapse survival rate and no-fluorescence in situ hybridization positive survival rate in Group C were significantly higher than those of Group A and Group B. Conclusion Therefore, the combined application of taking sunitinib drug and going through TGC perfusion chemotherapy after secondary HOLRBT will evidently improve the prognosis of patients with a glorious applicated prospect.BACKGROUND Pitch velocity is associated with elbow injuries among skillful baseball players. However, the relationship between pitch velocity and throwing elbow injuries among youth players has not yet been clarified. PURPOSE To investigate the influence of pitch velocity on medial elbow pain and medial epicondyle abnormality among youth baseball players. STUDY DESIGN Cohort study; Level of evidence, 3. METHODS The participants consisted of 256 elementary school players (mean age, 11 ± 1 years; range, 9-12 years). The medial aspect of the elbow was evaluated using ultrasound imaging. A questionnaire was used to investigate past or present pain in the elbow, background of the players (age, height, body mass index, and years of baseball experience), and playing environment (number of days of practice in a week, experience as a pitcher, and cryotherapy of the shoulder and elbow after practice). CONCLUSION Pitch velocity was significantly associated with abnormality of the medial epicondyle and elbow pain. Particularly, research dealing with clinical notes relevant to patient care and outcome is seldom conducted, due to the complexity of data extraction and accurate annotation in the past. RECIST is a set of widely accepted research criteria to evaluate tumor response in patients undergoing antineoplastic therapy. The aim for this study was to identify textual sources for RECIST information in EHRs and to develop a corpus of pharmacotherapy and response entities for development of natural language processing tools. METHODS We focused on pharmacotherapies and patient responses, using 55,120 medical notes (n = 72 types) in Mayo Clinic's EHRs from 622 randomly selected patients who signed authorization for research. Using the Multidocument Annotation Environment tool, we applied and evaluated predefined keywords, and time interval and note-type filters for identifying RECIST information and established a gold standard data set for patient outcome research.
