There were significant differences between the CVI and DI impressions in the lower jaw (p<.05). No significant differences in transfer accuracy were found between partially and completely edentulous patients for the impression methods.
Within the limits of the present study, it can be concluded that full-arch digital implant impressions of the upper jaw in partially or completely edentulous patients showed comparable results to conventional implant impressions. However, with regard to the implant position transfer accuracy, there are still limitations for digital impression in the lower jaw.

Previous studies have only investigated how symptom presentation and socio-demographic factors influence care-seeking for low back pain (LBP). However, the influence of health and lifestyle factors remains unclear, and the potential confounding effects of aggregated familial factors (including genetics and the early shared environment) has not been considered extensively.
A cross-sectional analysis was performed on 1605 twins enrolled in the Murcia Twin Registry (Spain). The outcome was seeking medical care for LBP and various self-reported demographic, health and lifestyle factors were considered predictors. All variables except sleep quality and diabetes were collected in 2013, which were cross-referenced from 2009 to 2010. A multivariate logistic regression model was performed on the total sample, followed by a co-twin case-control analysis.
The only significant factor found to increase the odds of seeking medical care for LBP without being affected by familial factors was poor sleep quality (total sterm and does not appear to be confounded by familial factors. Early screening for indicators of poor sleep quality and appropriate referral to interventions for improving sleep quality or reducing pain in sleep may improve LBP management.
This is the first study investigating the factors that influence seeking medical care for LBP, while adjusting for the influence of familial factors using a co-twin control design. Poor sleep quality is associated with seeking medical care for LBP in the long term and does not appear to be confounded by familial factors. Early screening for indicators of poor sleep quality and appropriate referral to interventions for improving sleep quality or reducing pain in sleep may improve LBP management.
Cell-free and concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is applied to relieve symptoms in patients with malignant ascites. We performed a prospective cohort study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of CART performed on patients with advanced ovarian and peritoneal cancers with massive ascites during the initial treatment.
From April 2018 to July 2020, CART was performed during the initial treatment of 31 patients with advanced ovarian and peritoneal cancers with cancerous ascites. Patient characteristics and clinical information before and after CART were collected. We performed quality of life assessment using the Japanese version of the M.D. Anderson Symptom Inventory (MDASI-J) 24 h before and after CART.
CART was performed 38 times in 24 patients before or during neoadjuvant chemotherapy and 11 times in 11 patients prior to surgery. Four patients underwent CART before primary surgery and before and/or during chemotherapy. Grade 1-2 fever was observed in 18 of 31 cases (58%), and all were controllable by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. CART did not adversely affect the main treatment, chemotherapy, or surgery. CART significantly improved the MDASI-J symptom and interference scores within 24 h after the procedure. The symptom and interference scores decreased from 2.4 to 1.8 and from 4.8 to 3.0, respectively.
CART can be safely performed and is useful for symptom relief and improvement of general condition prior to initial surgery and during initial chemotherapy in ovarian and peritoneal cancers. SNDX5613 Performing CART at the time of initial treatment may facilitate initiation of the main treatment.

However, the use of TKIs may decrease the number of collected oocytes during fertility preservation procedures. We report the case of a 19-year-old patient with Ph+ALL for whom 21 oocytes were frozen after controlled ovarian stimulation was initiated 2 days after the completion of 28 days of remission induction therapy with dasatinib. After collecting the oocytes, consolidation therapy was initiated immediately, and a hematopoietic stem cell transplant from her younger brother was scheduled. It is believed that a 2-day withdrawal period is sufficient for fertility preservation or that the effect of dasatinib on the number of oocytes obtained is minimal.
Brazil is an upper middle-income country in South America with the world's sixth largest population. Despite great advances in health-care services and cardiac surgical care in both its public and private health systems, little is known on the volume, outcomes, and trends of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) in Brazil's public health system.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcome of CABG on the public health system from January 2008 to December 2017 through the database DATASUS.
This study is based on publicly available material obtained from DATASUS, the Brazilian Ministry of Health's data processing system, on numbers of surgical procedures, death rates, length of stay, and costs. Only isolated CABG procedures were included in our study. We used the TabNet software from the DATASUS website to generate reports. The χ
test was used to compare death rates. A p < .05 was considered statistically significant.
We identified 226,697 CABG procedures performed from January 2008 to December 2017.
