Slot missions are a great way to obtain weapons, equipment and more. However, they can be difficult to do.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a unique slot that allows you to carry pistols into the course of. Some players use this to achieve certain goals and targets, particularly those who want to go for Suit Only. Others prefer to have the extra pistol as an extra weapon to close the gap. It's important to note that to choose the pistols for this slot, you need to click on the button for the appropriate category such as alternate slot 2 machine guns. Being able to have Major Expedition and Adept Rider on makes it simpler. This combo can also trigger damage from concealed Weapon every 10 seconds so long as you have it placed in.

Smuggled Item Slot

The smuggled item slot is an excellent option for allowing players to bring in tools and weapons, but it could use a better option. It's currently designed to resemble the shape of a pistol, making it difficult to distinguish the smuggled weapon slot from other slots for gear.

The smuggle slot can house an array of items, from subtle concussion devices to weapons-grade explosives. These items can be found in hidden places around the map. They can also be retrieved at any time. The items that are smuggled differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes that hide small items in the scenery or objects.

Mission planning is a feature available in episodic missions that lets players discover different starting locations as well as smuggled items and gear slots ahead of their entry into the map. The options for planning increase as players progress through challenges and unlock higher Mission Mastery levels. This lets players plan the perfect mission for every challenge.

Gear Slot

The gear slots will rapidly fill up early in the game, which will result in the frequently-repeated message "Your Gear Slots are Full". This message prevents Max to select new equipment until the old ones are removed or more space has been obtained. The solution is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which provide more inventory space in exchange for completing challenge missions. Because many of these challenges can be missed and are scattered around the world, it may take some time to obtain the most slots for inventory in the game.

Each player has up to five different kinds of gear in their five Gear Slots. These are to be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to the break-in. Each gear item (except for the Pistol), takes up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as Grenades in a grouping) only uses one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress in Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups across the map. These locations let you keep items that don't fit in your concealed weapon or gear slot. You can take them out later.
