PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS In this study, at an early age, the effects of kefir on improving inflammation via antioxidation in the masseter muscle and gingival tissue were investigated for the first time. We showed that kefir feeding ameliorates lymphocyte infiltration on the high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS)-induced masseter muscle and gingival tissue inflammation in rats. The mRNA expressions of inflammatory parameters measured in the study were supported by protein measurements via ELISA or immunohistochemistry. In the present study, kefir may play an important role in the antioxidation and inflammation process on the masseter muscle and gingival tissue against HFCS.Self-diffusion coefficients of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) were measured in aqueous solutions in the premicellar range of the SDS concentrations 7-34.7 mM and temperatures 30-90°C. The enantiomer-based organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) exhibit pure green emission with narrow full-width at half-maximums (FWHMs) of 30 and 33 nm, high maximum external quantum efficiencies (EQEs) of 29.4% and 24.5%, and clear circularly polarized electroluminescence (CPEL) signals with electroluminescence dissymmetry factors (gEL ) of +1.43 × 10-3 /-1.27 × 10-3 and +4.60 × 10-4 /-4.76 × 10-4 , respectively. This is the first example of a highly efficient OLED that exhibits CPEL signal, narrowband emission, and TADF concurrently.

A magnetic resonance (MR) biologic marker (biomarker) is a measurable quantitative characteristic that is an indicator of normal biological and pathogenetic processes or a response to therapeutic intervention derived from the MR imaging process. Remote examination of patients with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) brings particular challenges, given the propensity of HS to affect intimate body areas. To understand the impact of remote consultations on the care of patients with HS, a retrospective analysis was conducted of all consultations from 2 April to 29 October 2020 at the HS clinic at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. In this group of patients with HS, 46.3% were black, compared with 7.0% of patients attending general dermatology clinics (P less then 0.001). The majority (65.9%) of patients had previously received or were currently taking adalimumab. All consultations were performed by telephone and in 50.7% of the consultations, patients were assessed as having unstable (u)HS, with 81.1% of these uHS episodes leading to a change in pharmacological therapy. The decision-making process was aided by patient-submitted photographs at only 8.1% of consultations involving uHS, for reasons of patient privacy, comfort and data security.
