Relevant studies focusing on epidemiological of profiles hypertensive disorders of pregnancy from global data that report the cause-specific prevalence and trends of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy at global, regional and national levels from 1990 to 2019 by age and sociodemographic index are still limited.
For hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, point prevalence, annual incidence, and years lived with disability numbers and age standardized rates per 100,000 population were compared at regional and national levels by age and sociodemographic index using data from the global Burden of Disease 2019 Study, covering populations from 204 countries and territories. Estimates are reported with uncertainty intervals to exhibit the changing trends during a specific period.
The incidence of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy increased from 16.30million to 18.08million globally, with a total increase of 10.92 % from 1990 to 2019. The age-standardized incidence rate decreased, with an estimated annual percen all regions except for those with low sociodemographic and human development indexes. This difference is mainly due to the increasing attention to prenatal examinations and health education. Further investigations should focus on forecasting the global disease burden of specific hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and modifiable risk factors.

To date, the genetic contribution to Parkinson's disease (PD) remains unclear. Mutations in the collagen type VI alpha 3 (COL6A3) gene were recently identified as a cause of isolated dystonia. Since PD and dystonia are closely related disorders with shared clinical and genetic characteristics, we explored the association between COL6A3 and PD in a Chinese cohort.
We performed genetic screening of COL6A3 in a Chinese cohort of 173 patients with sporadic PD and 200 healthy controls. We identified variants that are likely to have pathogenic effects based on 1) a minor allele frequency of < 0.01; and 2) the variant being recognized as deleterious by at least 15 different in silico predicting tools. Finally, we tested the aggregate burden of COL6A3 on PD via SKAT-O analysis.
First, we found compound heterozygous COL6A3 gene mutations in one early-onset PD patients. Then, we explored whether COL6A3 variants contributed to increased risk of developing PD in a Chinese population. We detected 21 rare non-synonymous variants. Pathogenicity predictions identified 7 novel non-synonymous variants as likely to be pathogenic. SKAT-O analysis further revealed that an aggregate burden of variants in COL6A3 contributes to PD (p = 0.038).

Blood Pressure (BP) control is largely unsatisfied in End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) principally due to sodium retention. Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) is the most common type of home dialysis, using a peritoneal membrane to remove sodium, though sodium removal remains challenging.
This is a case-study reporting two consecutive ESKD patients treated by a novel peritoneal PD solution with a mildly reduced sodium content (130 mmol/L) to treat hypertension.
In the first case, a 78-year-old woman treated by Continuous Ambulatory PD (CAPD) with standard solution (three 4 h-dwells per day 1.36% glucose 132 mmol/L) showed resistant hypertension confirmed by ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), reporting 24 h-BP 152/81 mmHg, day-BP151/83 mmHg and night-ABP 153/75 mmHg, with inversion of the circadian systolic BP rhythm (1.01), despite use of three anti-hypertensives and a diuretic at adequate doses. No sign of hypervolemia was evident. We then switched from standard PD to low-sodium solution in all daily dwd low-sodium CAPD might reduce BP in hypertensive ESKD patients.
This case-report study suggests that mild low-sodium CAPD might reduce BP in hypertensive ESKD patients.
Feeding behavior traits are an essential part of livestock production. However, the genetic base of feeding behavior traits remains unclear in Pekin ducks. This study aimed to determine novel loci related to feeding behavior in Pekin ducks.
In this study, the feeding information of 540 Pekin ducks was recorded, and individual genotype was evaluated using genotyping-by-sequencing methods. Genome-wide association analysis (GWAS) was conducted for feeding behavior traits. Overall, thirty significant (P-value < 4.74E-06) SNPs for feeding behavior traits were discovered, and four of them reached the genome-wide significance level (P-value < 2.37E-07). One genome-wide significance locus associated with daily meal times was located in a 122.25 Mb region on chromosome 2, which was within the intron of gene ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 E2 (UBE2E2), and could explain 2.64% of the phenotypic variation. This locus was also significantly associated with meal feed intake, and explained 2.72% of this phenotypic variation.

Functional lung MRI techniques are usually associated with time-consuming post-processing, where manual lung segmentation represents the most cumbersome part. The aim of this study was to investigate whether deep learning-based segmentation of lung images which were scanned by a fast UTE sequence exploiting the stack-of-spirals trajectory can provide sufficiently good accuracy for the calculation of functional parameters.
In this study, lung images were acquired in 20 patients suffering from cystic fibrosis (CF) and 33 healthy volunteers, by a fast UTE sequence with a stack-of-spirals trajectory and a minimum echo-time of 0.05ms. link2 A convolutional neural network was then trained for semantic lung segmentation using 17,713 2D coronal slices, each paired with a label obtained from manual segmentation. Subsequently, the network was applied to 4920 independent 2D test images and results were compared to a manual segmentation using the Sørensen-Dice similarity coefficient (DSC) and the Hausdorff distance (HD). O volumes and fractional ventilation values and promises to replace the time-consuming step of manual image segmentation in the future.

Accurate estimation of fetal weight is important for prenatal care and for detection of fetal growth abnormalities. Prediction of fetal weight entails the indirect measurement of fetal biometry by ultrasound that is then introduced into formulae to calculate the estimated fetal weight. The aim of our study was to evaluate the accuracy of fetal weight estimation of Chinese fetuses in the third trimester using an automated three-dimensional (3D) fractional limb volume model, and to compare this model with the traditional two-dimensional (2D) model.
Prospective 2D and 3D ultrasonography were performed among women with singleton pregnancies 7 days before delivery to obtain 2D data, including fetal biparietal diameter, abdominal circumference and femur length, as well as 3D data, including the fractional arm volume (AVol) and fractional thigh volume (TVol). The fetal weight was estimated using the 2D model and the 3D fractional limb volume model respectively. Percentage error was defined as (estimated fetal wey of the AVol and TVol models were better than the 2D model (- 0.8 vs. 7.0 and- 2.8 vs. 7.0, both p< 0.05). Moreover, for these fetuses, the proportions of estimated error ≤ 5% of the AVol and TVol models were 58.1 and 64.5%, respectively, significantly higher than that of the 2D model (19.4%) (both p< 0.05). The inter-observer reliability of measuring fetal AVol and TVol were high, with the ICCs of 0.921 and 0.963, respectively.

Abnormal hypoperfusion on the surgical side after carotid artery stenting is rare. Neurological deterioration caused by it is deceptive, which can easily lead to misdiagnosis. The mechanism of hypoperfusion has rarely been demonstrated. We present here a fully studied case with a high probability of intracerebral steal phenomenon.
A 68-year-old male with severe right internal carotid artery stenosis and left internal carotid artery occlusion underwent right stenosis stent implantation. Restlessness and left limb hemiplegia occurred within 24h after the procedure, which was similar to hyperperfusion syndrome. However, postoperative computerized tomography perfusion (CTP) revealed abnormal hypoperfusion in the right hemisphere. Transcranial Doppler (TCD) also showed decreased flow velocity in the right middle cerebral artery, and increased flow velocity in the right anterior cerebral artery. We considered that intracerebral steal phenomenon might be the cause, then hypervolemic therapy was accepted and the symptoms completely resolved after 3 days.
Ipsilateral hypoperfusion is rarely seen after carotid artery stenting. Intracerebral steal phenomenon may be the underlying mechanism. CTP or TCD is helpful for the early detection of this adverse event.

When dizziness/vertigo patients presented with balance disorder, it will bring severe morbidity. There is currently lack of research to explore risk factor related balance disorder in dizziness patients, especially in those who walk independently.

Medical data of 1002 dizziness/vertigo patients registered in vertigo/balance disorder registration database were reviewed. The demographic data, medical history, and risk factors for atherosclerosis (AS) were collected. Enrolled dizziness/vertigo patients could walk independently, completed Romberg test, videonystagmography (VNG), and limits of stability (LOS). The subjective imbalance was patient complained of postural symptom when performing Romberg test. Multivariable logistic regression analyzed risk factors related balance disorder. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve evaluated the utility of regression model.
Five hundred fifty-three dizziness/vertigo patients who walk independently were included in the final analysis.
