Sudden onset and lack of early diagnostic biomarkers directly contribute to the extremely high mortality rate of pancreatic cancer patients, and also make it indistinguishable from benign pancreatic diseases and precancerous pancreatic lesions. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) can influence cell proliferation, invasion/migration, apoptosis, and even chemoresistance via regulation of various signaling pathways, leading to pro- or anti-cancer outcomes. Given the versatile effects of lncRNAs on tumor progression, using a single lncRNA or combination of several lncRNAs may be an effective method for tumor diagnosis and prognostic predictions. This review will give a comprehensive overview of the most recent research related to lncRNAs in pancreatic cancer progression, as targeted therapies, and as biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of pancreatic cancer.Cancer immunotherapy has been emerged as a promising strategy for treatment of a broad spectrum of malignancies ranging from hematological to solid tumors. One of the principal approaches of cancer immunotherapy is transfer of natural or engineered tumor-specific T-cells into patients, a so called "adoptive cell transfer", or ACT, process. Construction of allogeneic T-cells is dependent on the employment of a gene-editing tool to modify donor-extracted T-cells and prepare them to specifically act against tumor cells with enhanced function and durability and least side-effects. In this context, CRISPR technology can be used to produce universal T-cells, equipped with recombinant T cell receptor (TCR) or chimeric antigen receptor (CAR), through multiplex genome engineering using Cas nucleases. The robust potential of CRISPR-Cas in preparing the building blocks of ACT immunotherapy has broaden the application of such therapies and some of them have gotten FDA approvals. Here, we have collected the last investigations in the field of immuno-oncology conducted in partnership with CRISPR technology. In addition, studies that have addressed the challenges in the path of CRISPR-mediated cancer immunotherapy, as well as pre-treatment applications of CRISPR-Cas have been mentioned in detail.

Some studies have investigated the prognostic value exhibited by the Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI) in patients suffering diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), but varying results were obtained. In order to determine the specific prognostic value more accurately, a meta-analysis was conducted in this study.

Literatures were searched from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang, PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, and Web of Science. Pooled hazard ratio (HR) and the 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated to assess the association between PNI and the overall survival (OS) and the progression-free survival (PFS) of patients with DLBCL.

Based on seven studies with a total number of 1311 patients, our meta-analysis revealed that low PNI may meant poor OS (HR = 2.14, 95% CI 1.66-2.75, p < 0.001) and poor PFS (HR = 1.75, 95% CI 1.36-2.25, p = 0.438). Subgroup analysis showed that, in Asians, low PNI was correlated to poor OS (pooled HR = 2.06 95% CI 1.59-2.66) and poor PFS (pooled HR = 1.66, 95% CI 1.28-2.15). Similar results were obtained from one European study, which is the only study performed outside of Asia from our literature search.

For patients with DLBCL, low PNI may be interpreted as adverse prognosis. More data from European patients are required in this study to avoid analysis bias.

There is growing interest in examining the factors affecting the reporting of errors by nurses. However, little research has been conducted into the effects of perceived patient safety culture and leader coaching of nurses on the intention to report errors.

This cross-sectional study was conducted amongst 256 nurses in the emergency departments of 18 public and private hospitals in Tabriz, northwest Iran. Participants completed the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (HSOPSC), Coaching Behavior Scale and Intention to Report Errors' questionnaires and the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis.

Overall, 43% of nurses had an intention to report errors; 50% of respondents reported that their nursing managers demonstrated high levels of coaching. With regard to patient safety culture, areas of strength and weakness were "teamwork within units" (PRR = 66.8%) and "non-punitive response errors" (PRR = 19.7%). Regression analysis findings highlighted a significant association between an intention to report errors and patient safety culture (B = 0.2, CI 95% 0.1 to 0.3,
