Background and aims Lipomatous hypertrophy of the interatrial septum is an uncommon type of cardiac adipose tumor. It is extremely rare for these lesions to be located in the interventricular septum. Methods We report this case of incidentally diagnosed lipomatous hypertrophy of the interventricular septum with right ventricular outflow obstruction which caused minimal symptoms and Wolff-Parkinson-White pattern on EKG. Conclusion We also discuss the diagnosis and management of this condition.Pregnant women get information about pregnancy andchild-birth from many sources, including the Internet. There is alack of evidence about the extent to which pregnant women usethis source. This study aimed to investigate the use of the Internetby pregnant women to search for information about pregnancyand childbirth. This study was conducted in Kerman, Iran. Threehundred eighty-five pregnant women waiting for their appointmentswith obstetricians/gynecologists participated in the survey byfilling out a questionnaire. The most common searched topicswere nutrition in pregnancy (81%), fetal development (67%), andcomplications of pregnancy (49%). The most popular sources ofinformation were physicians (61%), the Internet (51%), and printedsources (41%), respectively. More than half of the participantsdid not share the retrieved information from the Internet with theirhealth professionals. After being examined by a physician, 43% ofthe participants searched the Internet about the discussed topic.Beside physicians, the Internet is the second common source ofpregnancy and childbirth information for Iranian pregnant women.Future studies are needed to analyze the quality and accuracy ofonline pregnancy and childbirth information. Objective Postpartum hypertension is a leading cause of readmission in the postpartum period. We aimed to examine the prevalence of racial/ethnic differences in postpartum readmission due to hypertension in women with antepartum pregnancy-associated hypertension. Study design This was a multi-institutional retrospective cohort study of all women with antepartum pregnancy-associated hypertension diagnosed prior to initial discharge from January 2009 to December 2016. Antepartum pregnancy-associated hypertension, such as gestational hypertension, preeclampsia (with or without severe features), hemolysis, elevated liver enzyme, low platelet (HELLP) syndrome, and eclampsia was diagnosed based on American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Task Force definitions. Women with chronic hypertension and superimposed preeclampsia were excluded. Our primary outcome was postpartum readmission defined as a readmission due to severe hypertension within 6 weeks of postpartum. CDK inhibitor review Risk factors including maternal age, gest-Hispanic white women.Dose distributions have become more complex with the introduction of image-guided brachytherapy (IGBT) in high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy treatments. Therefore, to correctly execute HDR, conducting a quality assurance programme for the remote after-loading system (RALS) and verifying the dose distribution in the patient treatment plan are necessary. The characteristics of the dose distribution of HDR brachytherapy are that the dose is high near the source and rapidly drops when the distance from the source increases. Therefore, a measurement tool corresponding to the characteristic is required. In this study, using an Iridium-192 (Ir-192) source, we evaluated the basic characteristics of a nanoclay-based radio-fluorogenic gel (NC-RFG) dosimeter that is a fluorescent gel dosimeter using dihydrorhodamine 123 hydrochloride (DHR 123) as a fluorescent probe. The two-dimensional dose distribution measurements were performed at multiple source positions to simulate a clinical plan. Fluorescence images of the irradiated NC-RFG were obtained at a high resolution (0.04 mm/pixel) using a gel scanner with excitation at 465 nm. Good linearity was confirmed up to a dose range of 100 Gy without dose rate dependence. The dose distribution measurement at the five-point source position showed good agreement with the treatment planning system (TPS) calculation. The pass ratio by gamma analysis was 92.1% with a 2%/1 mm criterion. The NC-RFG dosimeter demonstrates to have the potential of being a useful tool for quality assurance of the dose distribution delivered by HDR brachytherapy. Moreover, compared with conventional gel dosimeters such as polymer gel and Fricke gel dosimeters it solves the problems of diffusion, dose rate dependence and inhibition of oxygen-induced reactions. Furthermore, it facilitates dose data to be read in a short time after irradiation, which is useful for clinical use.Breast milk banking is the practice of collecting and storing donated human breast milk that is later consumed by unrelated infants commonly in a NICU setting. The European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition, the American Academy of Paediatrics and the World Health Organization have all recommended Donor Human Milk (DHM) as the gold-standard replacement for neonates if Mother's Own Milk (MOM) is unavailable (1). In line with this, DHM use has become widely accepted in NICUs across the world and infant feeding with DHM has been shown to be of significant benefit to premature or very low birth weight (VLBW) infants (2).The results of the successful implementation of a treatment based on the injection of ozone (O3) and oxygen (O2) into a contaminated body of water are reported for the first time. Three decontaminating units (SCAVENGER™), which have the capacity to inject up to 120 g O3/h and 250 Kg O2/h in the form of microbubbles (90 ± 10 μm in diameter), were placed in the contaminated Valsequillo reservoir, Central Mexico. In order to evaluate the efficacy of the treatment, 20 physicochemical parameters, 18 organic compounds, 66 inorganic compounds and 11 biological indicators were measured before, during and after the treatment; all of them in several representative sites of the east side of the Valsequillo reservoir. After 5 months of operating the SCAVENGER™ units in the eastern part of the reservoir, the concentration of Dissolved Oxygen (DO) increased 68%. Likewise, the chemical reducing conditions of the reservoir reflected by the low oxidation-reduction potential (ORP; -237 ± 75 mV) became quasi-oxidant (10 ± 58 mV).
