BACKGROUND Food and nutrition literacy is a newly emerged concept to connect food-related knowledge and skills to healthy diets. Its promotion is important to protect children as they eat too many low-nutrient, high-energy foods. Food and nutrition literacy promotion needs multi-dimensional interventions. In the process of developing an intervention to promote food and nutrition literacy, the present review protocol aims to critically examine the evidence in the area of school-based interventions for promoting food and nutrition literacy (FNLIT) in elementary school children. METHODS We will search PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, Web of Science, CENTRAL, and ProQuest (from inception onwards). Additional studies will be identified through manual searching of reference lists. Quantitative studies (e.g., randomized controlled trial, quasi-randomized trials, and cluster randomized trials) evaluating the effect of interventions to promote food and nutrition literacy in elementary school children (5-12 years old) will be ind effectiveness of the interventions of food and nutrition literacy promotion in elementary school children. The results of this review will provide a useful reference for policymakers and curriculum developers to assess education curricula and develop practical learning and teaching strategies to improve students' food and nutrition literacy. HPV-related malignancies occur frequently and/or are high among PLHIV, with cervical cancer as a designated AIDS-defining condition. We aimed to explore the evidence on the interplay of HIV and HPV-related cancers in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). METHODS The scoping review was guided by Arksey and O'Malley's framework. We searched for literature from the following databases PubMed; World Health Organization (WHO) Library; Science Direct; Google Scholar and EBSCOhost (Academic search complete, Health Source Nursing/Academic Edition, CINAHL). Studies reporting on evidence HIV and HPV-related cancers interplay in SSA were eligible for inclusion in this review. The Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT) tool was used to assess the risk of bias of the included studies. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) was used for reporting the search results. Thematic analysis used to reveal the emereveloping HPV-related cancers among PLHIV are recommended. Systematic review registration PROSPERO CRD42017062403.BACKGROUND The study aimed to identify the targeting genes and miRNAs using the microarray expression profile dataset for Osteoarthritis (OA) patients. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between OA and control samples were identified using Bayes method of limma package. Subsequently, a protein-protein interaction (PPI) network was constructed. miRNAs and transcription factor (TFs) based on DEGs in PPI network were identified using Webgestalt and ENCODE, respectively. Finally, MCODE, Gene Ontology (GO) function, and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) were performed. The expressions of several DEGs and predicted miRNAs in OA rats were detected by RT-PCR. RESULTS A total of 594 DEGs were identified. In PPI network, there were 313 upregulated DEGs and 22 downregulated DEGs. Besides, the regulatory relationships included 467 upregulated interactions and 85 downregulated interactions (miR-124A → QKI and MAP 1B) between miRNA and DEGs in PPI network. The module from downregulated DEGs-TFs-miRNA networks was mainly enriched to low-density lipoprotein particle clearance, response to linoleic acid, and small molecule metabolic process BP terms. Moreover, QKI, MAP 1B mRNA and miR-9 expressions were significantly reduced in OA rats. CONCLUSION miR-9 might be a protective factor for OA patients via inhibiting proliferation and differentiation of cartilage progenitor cells. miR-124A might play an important role in progression of OA through targeting QKI and MAP 1B.BACKGROUND DNA methylation (DNAm) variation is an established predictor for several traits. In the context of oropharyngeal cancer (OPC), where 5-year survival is ~ 65%, DNA methylation may act as a prognostic biomarker. We examined the accuracy of DNA methylation biomarkers of 4 complex exposure traits (alcohol consumption, body mass index [BMI], educational attainment and smoking status) in predicting all-cause mortality in people with OPC. RESULTS DNAm predictors of alcohol consumption, BMI, educational attainment and smoking status were applied to 364 individuals with OPC in the Head and Neck 5000 cohort (HN5000; 19.6% of total OPC cases in the study), followed up for median 3.9 years; inter-quartile range (IQR) 3.3 to 5.2 years (time-to-event-death or censor). The proportion of phenotypic variance explained in each trait was as follows 16.5% for alcohol consumption, 22.7% for BMI, 0.4% for educational attainment and 51.1% for smoking. We then assessed the relationship between each DNAm predictor and all-nal attainment P 0.49, smoking P 0.19). CONCLUSIONS In the context of a clinical cohort of individuals with OPC, DNAm predictors for smoking, alcohol consumption, educational attainment and BMI exhibit similar predictive values for all-cause mortality compared to self-reported data. (2018) in which the efficacy of tooth alignment using conventional labial and lingual orthodontic bracket systems was assessed. MATERIALS/METHODS We used the identical experimental protocol and tested (i) regular twin bracket (GAC-Twin [Dentsply]) and lingual twin bracket systems (Incognito [3M]), (ii) together with NiTi 0.014" wires (RMO), and (iii) a simulated malocclusion with a displaced maxillary central incisor in the x-axis (2 mm gingivally) and in the z-axis (2 mm labially). RESULTS The method described by Alobeid et al. (2018) is not reproducible, and cannot be used to assess the efficacy of tooth alignment in labial or lingual orthodontic treatment.
